What Is The Best Treatment For Insomnia?

What Is The Best Treatment For Insomnia

Insomnia hurts the body and mind. What is the best treatment for insomnia? There are plenty of techniques and dietary supplements which could ease the situation. Individuals who broke the circadian cycle suffer a lot — shifts in the job, and nighttime work throw off the balance. Stress, unnecessary worries, and pain can trigger insomnia. Even jet lag traveling from one time zone to another creates the possibility to become one who cannot comfortably sleep.

At first, when people have problems with sleep, it is best to have a conversation with a knowledgeable health practitioner. You never know what is hidden under insomnia.

Fortunately, insomnia mainly results from disturbed rhythm and nutrients such as magnesium deficiency.

A significant difference can be made by calming down the body and mind with relaxing techniques, causing lifestyle changes, using a positive attitude, and giving the body the natural nutrients that it needs badly.

Relaxing techniques

Maybe you think that you need a unique environment such as a forest or secluded place. You can rest anywhere. A few months ago I saw a man in the airport who sat on the floors, closed his eyes, and relaxed. We waited for a plane to be announced. People gather around him, leaving a little bit of space for him. He did not care. After 15 or 20 minutes, he got up and joined the crowd.

You do not need to be extreme. Making a habit every day to sit quietly for at least five minutes would make a big difference. Please, do not expect results after the week. Let your mind adjust to this routine and become part of your daily life. Finding the place without notices or interruptions is good.

You would ask if it is meditation. Yes, it is. Famous teachers emphasize the importance of becoming routine. The body has its rhythms. When we disturb it, the body tries to adjust. However, with a poor diet, a stressful lifestyle, and a dangerous environment, we can experience changes in our sleep.

A short break from reality would help the mind to relax. You can sit quietly longer. Twenty or forty minutes give longer-lasting benefits.

Most important is that you make meditation a habit. Timothy Ferriss, the author of Tools of Titans, emphasized the importance of meditation. He mentioned that this technique helped him concentrate, relax, and find his purpose in life.

Exercises such as yoga, tai-chi, and qi gong will free tension and give the balance between mind and body.  It is easy to perform, but the results are beneficial. The stress is gone, the body becomes durable and flexible, and consciousness becomes quiet.

Lifestyle changes

You know that lifestyle can turn people’s lives upside down.  Unhealthy habits and reckless behavior could bring chaos and damage to us.  It is good to think before taking any action.

What kind of lifestyle changes could be?

  •  Sleep at the same time. The best time is at 9 p.m.
  •  Last food supposed to be four or three hours before bedtime
  •  Do not drink before sleep
  •  Make peace with yourself and others before bedtime
  •  Sleep in an entirely dark and more relaxed room.
  •  Firm beds are better compared with softer mattresses

If possible, avoid a sedentary lifestyle. The more you move, the more the body gets stretched. All muscles work, not just a few of them. Humans were created to walk or run. Sitting nowadays is a second “smoking.”

Nutrition

What Is The Best Treatment For Insomnia

A diet rich in vitamins, enzymes, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats provides full support for the body. Junk food creates problems because it is full of empty calories. We repeat portions, and reach for snacks because the body lacks nutrients. We do not know it. Our body knows it.  Excess sugar causes over 131 conditions that harm our health. We become irritated, tired, and overweight after eating processed food and drinking sodas.

It is nothing new. You can read about it in newspapers, health websites. Unfortunately, it is not enough to know. You need to do something about it.

Sleep can suffer too because the body requires nutrients invariably. Do you think why people check refrigerators at night? They need energy and building blocks for body metabolism. Unfortunately, you will not get it from ice cream or a piece of pizza.

Other triggers cause insomnia. Medications, consumption of alcohol, heart disease, caffeine, anxiety, hormone shifts, stress, depression, constipation, arthritis, ADHD, OCD, and lousy recovery from exercise could cause insomnia. Getting of these conditions, you can get a better night’s sleep.

Dietary supplements

Magnesium

  •   Magnesium helps with insomnia and relaxing muscles.
  •   Magnesium binds to GABA gates. GABA is the neurotransmitter of the central nervous system, which favors sleep.
  •   Magnesium reduces anxiety
  •   Magnesium reduces anti-inflammatory stress
  •  Magnesium helps heart rate response to exercise, sympathetic nervous stimulation, and sleep problems.
  •  Magnesium helps with restless legs syndrome
  • Magnesium participates in melatonin production

The best magnesium supplement is ReMag because it is absorbed 100 percent at the cellular level. Natural Calm and Epsom Salts could give relief and prepare for a good night’s sleep.

Insomnitol

Insomnitol is a dietary supplement, a vegan product containing essential constituents. It is beneficial for changing time zones when sleep can be disturbed for a few days. You can read about Insomnitol here. This product is harmless, without side effects. I used it a few times, and it worked like a charm. No sleep after waking up or addiction.

Herbs

Some people are good with herbal tea. Maria Treben, the author of Health From God’s Heaven, recommends chamomile tea, deadnettle tea, meadowsweet tea, hawthorn tea, and hawthorn tincture. Herbal mixtures and lime blossom baths help relax and sleep. Swedish Bitters is the perfect help before sleep.

Conclusion

Insomnia can be eased with natural remedies and techniques. Magnesium has a relaxing effect because it is a cofactor in over 800 systems. The body sufficient in magnesium does not have any problems with insomnia. Natural remedies such as Insomnitol help sleep right away when you are after a sleepless night.

The best treatment( reliever) for insomnia is the magnesium supplement ReMag. It goes straight to the cell and is absorbed by 100 percent. You can read more about ReMag here.

Everybody needs proper sleep.

How to Keep the Liver Safe

March 26, 2017 By Nemira 13 Comments

The liver is a vital organ. When we lead a healthy life, we know how to keep the liver safe. Liver functions are detoxification, metabolism participation, glycogen storage, protein synthesis, hormone production, and decomposition of red blood cells.

Spirulina is the source of antioxidants, phytonutrients, Vitamin A and E, and essential GLA. These nutrients can help cleanse human bodies and provide radical scavenging, antiviral, anti-inflammation, and hepatoprotection capabilities.

Liver detoxifies pollutants

The liver continually detoxifies harmful substances—drugs, junk food, full of chemicals, and alcohol filtrated through the liver. The liver cleans blood coming from the intestines and sends it back to the cells. When the liver stops, the body shuts down quickly. Dirty blood toxifies the body. Organs and tissues suffer.

The alcohol makes liver fat

Fatty liver is the consequence of chronic liver disease. The fat in the liver can exceed more than 5 percent. Additionally, insulin resistance and enormous alcohol consumption lead to fatty liver. Alcohol intake can lead to liver inflammation and alcoholic cirrhosis. No fun, yes?

How to keep the liver safe?

The liver is capable of disposing of alcohol without harm. The amount of consumed alcohol must be 3 ounces per hour. The liver filters the alcohol, breaking it down into substances. The liver uses enzymes to break down alcohol. The supply of proteins helps the liver to process alcohol. Proteins participate in the process of breaking down alcohol.

The methionine, the amino acid, constitutes protein. Amino acids take part in cell structure and protect liver cells from poisoning by alcohol.

One way to protect the liver is to eat plenty of proteins. The next move is to avoid junk food, unnecessary chemicals, and overconsumption of alcohol.

The fatty liver

The fatty liver accumulates an excess of fat. Unfortunately, a fatty liver can lead to cirrhosis.  We can keep the liver safe by taking proteins. Fortunately, the Spirulina is a rich source of proteins. The algae are the source of antioxidants, phytonutrients, Vitamin A and E, and essential GLA. These nutrients can help cleanse human bodies and provide radical scavenging, antiviral, anti-inflammation, and hepatoprotection capabilities.

Why are proteins important?

Entirely 70 percent of the liver is protein. Enzymes that participate in metabolism and detoxification are derived from protein. Analytic functions happen smoothly when the liver has a supply of proteins.

Spirulina influences the outcome of fatty liver

Christopher Hills, Ph.D., S.D. wrote about the positive effects of Spirulina a  few decades ago. He cited the jobs of scientists from Japan. C. Hills advised taking Spirulina when somebody drank too much alcohol.

In the book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, researchers point out that.

Spirulina also attenuates alcohol-induced fatty liver through ALDH activity, which is inactive in subjects intoxicated by alcohol, especially in Asian populations.

Apparently, Spirulina facilitates alcohol metabolism through enhanced clearance of accumulated aldehyde, which may increase susceptibility to alcoholic liver disease (ALD), such as fatty liver and fibrosis.(133)

ALDH is an aldehyde dehydrogenase. ALDH is the enzyme derived from proteins, which helps break down alcohol.

The aldehyde is a product of alcohol oxidation. Aldehyde is a harmful substance. When the liver can not filter alcohol, the aldehyde poisons the body. Headaches occur, and vomiting and stomach pain bother drunk individuals.

How to keep the liver safe?

According to Christopher Hills, P.H. D, S.D., if fatty liver is not appropriately treated, it can turn into cirrhosis.

Poor diet, viral infections, and excessive drinking are common causes of liver diseases.

Spirulina is a perfect source of proteins and vital nutrients that keep the body in good shape. If you are interested in Spirulina supplements, you can look here. We can learn how to keep the liver safe by reading books written by doctors and scientists. The breathtaking book is Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E.Gershwin and Amha Belay. This book is a comprehensive source of scientific data about the importance of Spirulina. Scientists show how to keep the liver safe using the nutraceutical product Spirulina.

How to Protect the Liver from Alcohol

September 23, 2016 By Nemira 2 Comments

The liver is the biochemical factory in our bodies. How to protect the liver from alcohol? The vital functions of the liver are analysis and synthesis, storage, and detoxification. The liver is the largest organ in the human body.

People consumed alcohol for ages. I can not imagine French culture without cognac, cheese,  and wine. Irish people are famous for whiskey, Japanese with sake.

Know your limits

Unfortunately, people do not know the limits. They consume too much alcohol. The damage would be done fast enough.

The liver can dispose of 10 millimeters of alcohol per hour. It means that if we drink more, the liver cannot detoxicate the alcohol.

How to protect the liver from alcohol?

Eat proteins

Most all enzymes which break down the alcohol are made from proteins. It means that proteins are crucial to us if we want to have a well-functioning liver.

70 % of the liver is protein—enzymes that perform functions derived from proteins.

The daily protein dose for adults is a minimum of 60-70 grams. Children require more because they grow.

Proteins consist of various numbers of different amino acids. It means that we must eat different types of food.

No to cirrhosis

Cirrhosis is a condition when fatty cells in the liver take over healthy liver cells. Usually, about 4% of the liver’s weight is fat. When fat reaches the 10% limit, the liver can not perform its functions.

Excess fat accumulates in cells when the liver does not get enough protein from food.

It is a vicious cycle.  The body lacks proteins. When there are not enough enzymes from proteins, the liver can not detoxicate the alcohol.

Cirrhosis is a dangerous disease with a high mortality rate.

How to protect the liver?

We can wonder how French people consume so much alcohol but stay healthy and, most importantly, happy.

French people enjoy food. They eat slowly. They drink wine slowly. They do not rush anywhere.

Cheese, meat, butter, mushrooms,  and vegetables are everyday staples on the table of French people. They have enough proteins from food.

The liver is healthy when one drinks moderately and gets proteins from food. Without proteins and vitamins, a deficiency of vital nutrients can occur anytime.

Spirulina is the source of protein

Christopher Hills, Ph.D., D.Sc., found out that consuming 30 pills of Spirulina can prevent a hangover. Spirulina has a high amount of protein. It contains the liver from poisoning with alcohol.

Prevention is the best key to being healthy

Drinking alcohol in moderation and getting enough proteins and vitamins from food could protect our bodies from poisoning. It is better to take care of ourselves when we are in good shape and when to suffer consequences from the reckless usage of alcohol. How to protect the liver from alcohol is essential to know everybody.

We are responsible for our well-being. Without good health, life would be less colorful and joyful. Let’s think first and enjoy a glass of wine later.
