Why Talk About Nutrition?

May 16, 2015 By Nemira 4 Comments

I guess nobody wonders why we need food. Why talk about nutrition? Not so many people have interested in what it is in their tasty sandwich. Most important for us is that it would be delicious, crunchy, and fulfilling. It does not matter that we look for snacks pretty soon and dream about what will be at the dinner today. In different cultures,  people eat at other times. In most advanced countries, people do not have a chance to eat,  to have one hour at least to enjoy and savor that it is on their plate.

Our Habits and Preferences

It is a  good saying: a pattern is not needed. Usually,  we stick to what works for us at this time. We fulfill our stomachs with food that sometimes is good for our taste buds but not for our health. Why? Did you try to read what is on the labels? I do not think so because it is not easy to understand what it means. These long descriptions of chemical ingredients are confusing. Usually,  we do not have time to translate these names into our language. Not everybody is a chemist. Do you know what Aspartame or Saccharin, Mycoprotein, or food dyes mean? I looked at what we have in our processed foods; my admiration for Nature’s gifts increased a few times. What do you prefer to eat? What is tasty, but you do not know from where it came? Maybe is better food, which nourishes our bodies and minds in the same way? If you want to stay well informed, I recommend an organization that works in public health’s best interests. You can find it here: www.spinet.org.

Why Do We Choose Food

Being alert to what we eat can help us stay in good shape long years ahead. I think that you heard that your skin looks better if you eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits and sleep well. It is the same with all our organs and body systems. Raw food is full of vitamins, minerals,  and enzymes. They help our immune system stay healthy and protect us from various intruders. The proper diet helps us to keep in shape physically and mentally.

Team of Aids

There is so much information about ways to be fit, many types of exercises, and advice on how to lose weight. I wonder why not start from the beginning when our plate is on the table, or we do stop buying fast food.  It is excellent to know what we put in our mouths unless we eat as ancient Romans. They tasted great meals consisting of meat, vegetables,  and fruits. Of course, their empire ended severely, but they knew how to enjoy life. Look what they created and left after themselves? Ancient Greeks left high culture for us. I do not think that they savored Twinkies.

Going back to nowadays, let’s look at why fresh food is so outstanding.

Why Talk about Nutrition

Vitamins

They are vital nutrients and organic compounds—many of the nutrients not made by the body. We obtain them from our diet. Vitamins work with enzymes ensuring that all body activities would be in order and would go in the right way. If you lack just one vitamin, it can cause many problems. In the same way as enzymes, vitamins are destroyed by high temperatures, cooking, or steaming log time. Why blending fruits or vegetables are good for us.  All food is divided into small particles. Vital nutrients are here for the lovely smoothie. It is easy to swallow, just keeping a  few seconds in your mouth, letting ferments reach it, and preparing for digestion in the stomach. Especially for people, who do not have so many teeth or feel weak, blending is a simple way to deliver all living nutrients to our bodies.

Enzymes

Enzymes are protein molecules. They are essential for our survival. Enzymes are involved in chemical reactions acting as catalysts. It is a pity when they are fragile and loses all their abilities when the temperature reaches more than 118 degrees  Fahrenheit.

Minerals

They are required to build bones, blood, muscles, and healthy nerves. Our bodies are out the balance when we lack minerals. Minerals work best when they are in chelated form. It means that they bond to amino acids for more natural assimilation. The cooking breaks these bonds; the blending keeps intact all minerals. Of course, we can use supplements. Anyway, what is made by Nature cannot be duplicated in the laboratory. It can be close, but not the same. Why talk about nutrition? It is vitally essential for our bodies what type of food we get. Our well-being depends on it.

Bonus of Positive Thinking

April 25, 2015 By Nemira 2 Comments

Do You Like Monday?

If you asked me, I would say that I like Monday. For me,  it is the same day as Tuesday or Friday. The bonus of positive thinking is that we do not care about minor details. We look for more important things. Otherwise, I heard from my friends that they were not so happy about the beginning of the week. What does it mean?  They want to have weekends all year long. I do not mind, but to have vacation all year can be annoying.

The Significance of Positive Attitude

We can disrespect  Monday or program themselves toward expectations. For example, an innocent animal such as a cat crosses the path, and we would believe in bad luck.

We would try to think that it is excellent, that we can get up, walk and see and hear all the little miracles of life. Sun shines or rain rains, everything is good for us and our surroundings. If we meet somebody, which is unpleasant to us, wish them all the best and do your own business. Who knows, maybe this person has a   migraine, or his dog does not eat breakfast, or his relatives will come to their house to visit when other plans have been made.

It happens. Shrug it off and forget. Put a smile on your face, and you will see that life is excellent. Other people will reflect you your smile. The bonus of positive thinking is that we save energy instead worrying.

Health Benefits of Positive Attitude

What is a positive attitude? When we do not react to all little things, which make your life a little bit complicated. Overall, everything is relative. For example, somebody did not catch the airplane and was boiling inside because they would be late for the meeting.  Later they got the news that this airplane had an accident. Of course, we would be thankful for it, but better to be calm and stable in every life situation.

When we overact or rush, we do not think about the consequences. We overeat to cover stress. Food happens to be not of the best quality. Our weight, blood pressure, and chronic diseases can show up. If we would think that everything happens for a reason and we would take what comes to us with humility and respect, our bodies would be thankful for our positive view.

Organic, from the farmers market,  bought food with all nutrients,  exercises such as yoga, martial arts, cheerful attitude, ability to have a sense of humor, and meditation will do miracles.  Our bodies can function in a way mother nature intended to be for us.

Be Thankful for Gifts of Life

Being open and grateful for everything that life gives us; makes us feel relaxed and happy every day. Going to sleep, being in a good mood, and not worrying about what will be will make your body refreshed, rejuvenated, and healthy.

The Bonus of Positive Thinking

Positive thinking lets us see everything that happens to us as life lessons. Negativity is just in our minds. If we do not feed our bodies and minds with quality food, we will have a mess. Thinking positively about life lets us reach heights in every area and situation.

We trust ourselves because we know if something unexpected happens, it is for a reason. We can try new ways if the old ones do not work. When we are positive, we can see more opportunities around. We do not judge. We are open. The bonus of positive thinking is a good mood and a balanced mind.
