Depending on the content, you get various benefits when you read a book. For example, reading the book Lord of the Rings, you experience multiple feelings, such as friendship, the taste of adventure, the joy of being in a different world, and living a life of heroes.
Other books give you information that comes from decades or hundreds of years. You immerse into the inner world of people who lived before.

A good book provides a safe environment from the outer world. People calm down, relax, and can get uplifted emotionally after experiencing the positive story. The peace of mind after a good read keeps people in balance with their bodies.


When you read books, you forget about your problems, especially if the writer can pull you into the story. You calm down, relax, and live in the moment when you follow the characters.
Your fear will be gone when you will read about the achievements of people who have been in worse situations than you.


Besides, you can laugh, which is healthy for the body. All your muscles relax, and your mood improves. And later on, you can remember situations or phrases, and you smile again. Positive emotions bring benefits such as good sleep, calm behavior, or, just simply speaking, the ability to evaluate problems and find a way how to deal with them.

Why do we not feel relaxed many times?


People have plenty of tasks and plenty of fearful thoughts that are only thoughts. Programs on TV do not encourage to find solutions and do not provide tools on how to relax. The information is biased and does not inspire one to have positive thoughts.

How can you relax when you hear about food shortages, diseases, wars, or corruption and lies from politicians?

There is no salvation on TV or social media. Do you remember you laughed so hard that you could piss your pants? Yes, it is relaxation when your body is free from fear spasms and live in this moment. Of course, not everybody does like that, but things happen.

I think it is better to piss your pants when laughing hard compared with harmful bursts of anger or panic attacks.

How about books full of information?


Books that provide facts are boring for ordinary people. Of course, if you read a book such as the records Guinness, you can have a lot of fun. For example,

when you watch this video or read the Guinness record book, you will be entertained.

The opposite would be Carl Sagan’s book Cosmos. It is fun to read; however, it is an informational and compelling story.

Books enrich you in different ways. They expand your view into the world; they give you a place where you can be another person when you engulf in the lives of characters pictured in stories. Books can console you and provide a haven from the turmoils of the outer world. You relax, calm down and rest because your mind is occupied with stories. You forget your own problems when you escape into world of imagination, phantasy or depiction of adventures.

If you have analyzing mind, you will relax with scientific books, which will show discoveries and achievements in various topics.

Of course, you cannot read all books that are in the world. Choosing diligently, you will benefit immensely from people who know more as you.

The benefits of getting up early morning are visible and massive enough to not pay attention to it. I guess that you know Robin Sharma, a famous writer and speaker. He writes the book The 5. A.M. Club. He advocates for early rising because you can accomplish more in various areas.

The benefits of getting up are remarkable because of increased productivity and better health, which leads to a better life.

It is magical when you can get up early and start a new day. As Robin Sharma, an author in self-improvement and leadership, stated, when you get up at 5 A.M., the whole world is ready to accept you in his company. Still is quiet, especially if you live close to nature, such as in parks or green designated areas. Having just one tree close by makes a  difference. You will hear birds suitable to enlighten your day with their songs. I do not talk about crows. I know that they are intelligent birds, but their voice?

However, if you want to get up early and be energetic for the whole day, you need to sleep quality.

Get proper rest


Scientists and doctors such as Carolyn Dean, M.D., and N.D. advise that sleeping before midnight, which can be two or better three hours, is most beneficial for our brain. When we sleep according to nature, we get benefits from it. A clear mind rested body, and a good mood gives us the stimulus to start a new day.

Some people cannot sleep right away because they just had a massive dinner or used stimulants such as chocolate, soda drinks, or sugar. All these things energize you and do not let you slow down. Especially eating late interrupts sleep. The heaviness in the stomach can bother you for long hours ahead.

Going to bed early is best between 9 and 10 p.m. I can hear that somebody will argue: how about my movies or shows on TV? Nowadays, if it is crucial to you, you can set the program to see the next day what you want. However, it is happy to ask themselves if we need it. Usually, watching TV before night disturbs us. The content in these shows and movies is mostly energizing. Later, after watching TV, it is not easy to get the right proper sleep right away. Besides it, if we have had a not so, pleasant not-so-pleasant day, we would have a bunch of spinning thoughts in our heads. Adding news from TV does not help to calm the mind.

My favorite authors are Charles Dickens, Paulo Coelho, Earl Nightingale, Robin Sharma, and Deepak  Chopra. I have some more readings from Mark Twain and Khalil Gibran, J.R.R. Tolkien and Christian Hans Andersen, and David R. Hawkins. These guys are pillars of my life, friends, mentors, and advisers.

A couple of years ago, I discovered Timothy Ferriss. His book Tools of Titans is an incredible source of information. It helps in dark times and when I need encouragement and inspiration to move on from point A to point B.

Are Twinkies Healthy?

Are Twinkies healthy? I never heard about Twinkies until I read the fascinating article written by Steven Bertoni for FORBES. Are Twinkies healthy? It was my first thought because I am more on the healthy side. What I mean by this is that I prefer real food over-processed. I like to cook at home and pack my lunch. When I saw on TV that Twinkies would disappear from shelves, I was surprised by how people reacted to this news. It was like mourning something precious that was lost.

Are Twinkies special?


I asked my friends what was unique about Twinkies.  They told me that it was junk food. Okay, I thought more people would switch to healthy alternatives, such as squash or carrots, organic meat, or eggs. It is a joke regarding squash because nobody survives with few vegetables.  However, choosing real food over bleached flour and sugar would make a lot healthier life for us.

After reading the article on FORBES, I think that the revival of Twinkies is a unique event. It is a story that forces me to believe that there are so many aspects of life that are not easy to grasp. This brand has 1 billion in revenues, millions of fans, and 80 years of legacy. It is understandable because  Twinkies has connections with a few generations.

Twinkies are part of pop culture. I could moralize how it is unhealthy, but people do not care what doctors tell them. It is said that old habits die hard.

Long journey for Twinkies


The history of Twinkies started in 1930  during the  Great Depression. The Howdy Doody Show and  Batman comics made Twinkies a part of pop culture. One interesting fact about them is that Twinkies were associated with the assassination of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and City Supervisor Harvey Milk. Lawyers of killer Dan White argued that junk food, full of sugar, triggered his psychosis.

Here she provides reasons why sugar is bad for us. She takes information from scientific journal articles. A few things which attracted my attention were that sugar is an addictive substance and that sugar could be intoxicating, similar to alcohol.

Back to Twinkies. They were made by the Hostess company, which changed owners over the years. International Telephone& Telegraph, Ralston Purina, and Ripplewood Holdings were owners of Twinkies. Unfortunately, despite its earlier popularity, Hostess Brand Inc. filed for bankruptcy in January 2012.  Operating losses, pension expenses, and the baker union’s strike triggered the end of Twinkies’ lovable brand.

Most people probably do not mind the disappearance of unhealthy food. Finally,  people can switch to healthy, nutritious meals and start to live wholesome lives. We are beginning a  new life, w; and active, we will be bewill be fit  Twinkies, we are beginning a  new life, we will be healthy and active and lead aspiring lives. It is funny that what works for you or me is unacceptable for somebody who loves Twinkies. Scientists can explain relationships with foods like Twinkies as something that gives comfort but takes away well-being.

Anyway, C. Dean Metropoulos came to the rescue of Twinkies.  For 35 years, he recovered many brands from disasters, such as PAM cooking spray. In 2000,  FORBES named him Mr. Shelf Space. He created an estimated  $2.2 billion fortune for himself. Impressive, isn’t it?

Twinkies were born again. Now they are produced with other cakes in clean, spacious factories. They have a  prolonged shelf life, thanks to the formula of starches invented by the excellent lab of Corbin, and reduced costs. Shelf life doubled. Now it is suitable for 65 days.

It is exceptional how Twinkies came back after four months when Metropoulos took over. Television, the Internet, and social media were excited to announce the rebirth of Twinkies. Television personality,  book author, and weatherman Al Roker tossed Twinkies to fans. They were on Jimmy Fallon and the Ellen Show. Marketing Twinkies on college campuses and promoting with celebrities such as Will Farell, Snoop Dog, and Howard Stern opened gates to many orders from stores.

Praise from bankers


According to the Forbes article, ” What they have done at Hostess should be a Harvard Business School case study on how to turn around a business.” In the future, Metropoulos will consider making more deluxe versions of Twinkies.  The growing Hispanic market is his target too.

This excellent management story shows how bright minds can reach victories in areas where everything seemed lost.

How about the healthy side?

Do you ask how about the nutritional value of Twinkies? I doubt if somebody cares about this issue. Most important that customers like it. They missed it. Despite the information, emotional connections are secure, which is not favorable to Twinkies. Nobody could argue that this product is not tasty or looks terrible. The choice is up to the customer, and the customer is always right.

People will always prefer so-called junk food over fresh but healthy food. Maybe someday it will be Twinkies with squash filling; who knows?

I wonder if, in the business world, people must show assertiveness. I mean, what kind of business are they supposed to lead?  The company which serves people, makes a positive impact, or demonstrates the brilliance of management in every area where opportunity shows up?

Now I know what is going on after digging deeper into books. It is the same as with all junk food: sugar addiction. The body craves nutrients. We look for something pleasant to fulfill this gap, but the choice is harmful. Junk food does not have vital nutrients such as minerals, enzymes, fatty acids, or proteins. Besides it, the overuse of sugary foods removes critical minerals such as magnesium from the body. When you lack minerals, enzymes, and vitamins, your body cannot perform simple functions correctly. I know that sugar is a real addiction. I experienced it myself. One pound of chocolate per week was an indulgence and the way to lift the mood. Spirulina was known as a food supplement a long time ago. Spirulina does make history in the modern world slowly. How many people know about the benefits of Spirulina? Prevention is the key to health, financial freedom, and balance in life. Sounds pompous? Maybe. However, by tracing things in life and the consequences after doing deals, we can see that we could be in better places if we would take good care of ourselves.

Good health, stable financial freedom, and balance in life do not require big efforts, especially if people learn about it from childhood.

The health


Teenagers want to try everything that their peers do. It does not matter how it can be dangerous or troubling; plenty of us risk our lives and health. Smoking, drugs, driving after a party, or just sex without prevention shorten our possibilities for a better experience. Young people think that the whole time on the Earth belongs to them. Unfortunately,  they change their minds when they see the consequences later on.

Habits enslave us if we choose the wrong ones. I see many obese little children who could be targets for diabetes. Of course, parents have an influence, but they do not know other ways how to protect themselves from the consequences of bad behavior. Wrong choices lead to miserable lives because who can be happy having lousy health?

We all want better lives for ourselves and our loved ones. Unfortunately, most of us think about this day, not the future. Overspending leads to debt. The balance in life lets us feel safe, content, and joyful. When we are balanced, our health is correct, we do not have debts, and our minds are free from clutter about worries.

How can we reach this condition? Prevention is the key. We eat real food without chemicals, exercise, and keep our mental health in check. The meditation and breathing exercises help calm down and see the perspective of things.

To reach financial freedom, we can use prevention methods, too. We prevent ourselves from buying houses that are too expensive. We save for vacations and projects. We learn about investing strategies. We choose the right advisors and mentors.

Prevention in whole all of our lives helps us live balanced and happy lives. It prevents us from making mistakes and fast decisions.

Health is the most valuable asset. Health and aging can have healthy relationships. We can not buy it or extend our lives.  If we do not take care of ourselves, our health can deteriorate. Health and aging correlate. When we act and use clean food and water, thinking positive thoughts, aging does not seem like the scary journey towards disappearance from the surface of the Earth.

Watching after our health can postpone aging depending on the quality of nutrition, lifestyle, and physical and mental abilities to age well.

Till now, the whole aging mechanism has not been solved. Scientists and doctors are on the research path for rejuvenating tools. Unfortunately, we will go to the next place after leaving this precious Earth sooner or later.

Anyway, our health and aging are connected. When health is correct, we get older, but it does not seem like a burden. We are slow and flexible. We think longer. We are intelligent and wise.

There are a few theories about why we age. The first theory states that balance is disrupted between new and old cells in the body. When communication between hormones and cells is mixed, the body gets old.

Oxidation plays a significant role, too. Free radicals attack cells and damage them. If oxidative harm is reduced, the aging process can slow down. Lifespan would expand.

Everybody knows that happy and optimistic people attract more luck and have a better outcome in life. Of course, there are cases where positivity does not solve all problems. However,  it helped to overcome them more easily.

Prevention is the primary step towards good health and golden years. Health and aging depend on you. We can be older but in good shape if we follow common sense and understand instructions from doctors and professionals.
