<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is the most nutritious food that could keep you healthy and content for months and years. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina contains plenty of proteins, amino acids, microelements, and vitamins that support the body entirely during chosen time.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Can I use Spirulina during fasting?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Yes, you can use this blue-green alga during fasting. It works as a miracle because it has a few calories but sustains you when you want to shed unnecessary pounds.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, you need to use only organic Spirulina tested in the lab. Quality control ensures you get the best product that will not harm you.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Why is Spirulina called a superfood?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This name serves Spirulina well because of her superiority over other supplements. You cannot take only proteins and be well for a longer time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You need a complex of all nutrients in the body&#8217;s metabolism. If you lack some minerals, for example, you will experience deficiency and all associated consequences sooner or later.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Some scientists thought Spirulina could be a manna that helped survive wandering people in the desert. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is no actual proof from these ancient times, but one, and impressive, is described by <em>Christopher</em> <em>Hills.</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">His friend, a philosopher, was living on Spirulina and Chlorella for fifteen years.</p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Spirulina-for-food.png"><img decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Spirulina-for-food.png" alt="" class="wp-image-25807" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Spirulina-for-food.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Spirulina-for-food-300x200.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Can you imagine a guy who is 85 years old sitting in this pose and enjoying algae? It happened a few decades ago but shows Spirulina is a superfood that can keep you young and satisfied.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">The composition of Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina contains approximately 70 percent of the protein that is easily digestible.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> Eight essential amino acids are found in Spirulina</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Isoleucine</li>

<li>Leucine</li>

<li>Lysine</li>

<li>Methionine</li>

<li>Phenylalanine</li>

<li>Threonine</li>

<li>Tryptophane</li>

<li>Valine</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Besides them, there are eight non-essential amino acids in Spirulina</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Alanine</li>

<li>Arginine</li>

<li>Aspartic acid</li>

<li>Cystine</li>

<li>Glutamic acid</li>

<li>Glycine</li>

<li>Histidine</li>

<li>Proline</li>

<li>Serine</li>

<li>Tyrosine</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Additionally, Spirulina contains minerals such as </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Calcium</li>

<li>Potassium</li>

<li>Zinc</li>

<li>Manganese</li>

<li>Magnesium</li>

<li>Selenium</li>

<li>Iron</li>

<li>Phosphorus</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do not forget vitamins that are vital for the health of the body</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Biotin</li>

<li>Pyridoxine</li>

<li>Cobalamin</li>

<li>Pantothenic acid</li>

<li>Folic acid</li>

<li>Inositol</li>

<li>Niacin</li>

<li>Riboflavin</li>

<li>Thiamine</li>

<li>Tocopherol</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do you see how rich Spirulina is in nutrients? Spirulina is called a <a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">nutraceutical food.</a> It means that it helps with various wellness problems.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do I forget something? Yes. Spirulina contains carotenoids, enzymatic pigments such as chlorophyll, fats, sugars, and salts.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Conclusion</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a superfood that brings only benefits to the body. It is a valuable addition to those who lack nutrients from meals, especially when there is no way to get fresh food. People, who want to lose weight, will benefit from Spirulina, too, thanks to a few calories and the full array of nutrients.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is safe to use, especially when it is an organic supplement. It is easy to obtain at health food stores or pharmacies that carry supplements.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No other supplement replenishes and fulfills you completely without breaking a wallet. Did you try Spirulina yet? It would be great to hear from you.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a <a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">wholesome</a>, nutritious food. It is a nutraceutical food that can help you with various problems, such as fasting, keeping insulin in check, and getting all the needed nutrients.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People used Spirulina many years ago. Aztecs cultivated Spirulina in ponds and used it as food full of proteins and other vital nutrients.</p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Everybody can survive on Spirulina for a long time. Organic Spirulina is the best, thanks to constant check-ups in labs. Pure Spirulina is free from toxins and grown in ponds that fit the strictest requirements.</strong></p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Evidence about surviving on Spirulina for 15 years</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Did you hear about <em>Christopher Hills</em>, the father of Spirulina? He got this name when he grew and distributed algae. He called Spirulina green gold.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He motivated that Spirulina could save lives by keeping people nourished and fit during hard times when food was scarce.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Christopher Hills</em> had many Japanese friends who used Spirulina for various reasons. One of them, the philosopher Toru Matsui, lived on Spirulina and Chlorella for 15 years.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You do not believe in it? Here is proof, a picture of Professor <em>Hiroshi Nakamura </em>and Toru Matsui eating algae together.</p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui-eats-Spirulina.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui-eats-Spirulina.png" alt="" class="wp-image-25527" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui-eats-Spirulina.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui-eats-Spirulina-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a></figure>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Why can be doubts about surviving on Spirulina?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina, like all food supplements, can bring harm if the product is contaminated with toxins. Organic Spirulina is the best option to consume for a long time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nobody needs to pick harmful products that do not fit the required standards. It is the opposite. People must take the best supplements checked in labs that follow manufacturers&#8217; guidelines.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From another point of view, if people see that Spirulina will help to survive in harsh times, it can be impossible to scare people with food shortages.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Most people can panic when they see empty shelves and nobody brings goodies in. Of course, it can be a temporary situation. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, having Spirulina as an additional food source when times are uncertain is a good idea.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is peace for the mind and the body. Spirulina does not cost an arm and leg. People can keep algae in tight and protected containers from the air coming in.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Conclusion</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People can live on Spirulina as long as they wish. Of course, you need water, clean and without chemicals. Other drinks are good, too, as they provide nutrition and do not harm.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The example with <em>Toru Matsui </em>shows that Spirulina is a reliable food source that can sustain people in the long run.</p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a nutraceutical food that provides enormous benefits. Spirulina is an alga with an entire complex of amino acids, essential and non-essential, vitamins, trace minerals, proteins, carotenoids, enzymatic pigments, and phytocyanins.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">What does nutraceutical food mean?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">Nutraceutical</a> food is food full of nutrients that positively influence the body. Because Spirulina contains all needed by the body substances, people can benefit from alga in many ways.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the important things to mention is Spirulina&#8217;s ability to help people during fasting time. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Usually, people, when fasting, crave food. It can be anything from sweets to hamburgers or steak.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina removes this problem, being a complete nutritional source. What is fascinating about Spirulina is that alga contains a few calories.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People can <a href="https://treatforlife.com/will-spirulina-break-my-fast/" data-type="post" data-id="24816">lose weight</a> without harming themselves. You would ask why it is this way. People lacking nutrients during fasting can experience unpleasant side effects such as headaches, pain, or nausea.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, during fasting, people experience detoxification symptoms when the body starts to clean itself. Especially it happens when people are obese, and fat cells contain plenty of waste products along with toxins.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Are we okay taking Spirulina?</h2>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Spirulina is a food of the 21st century. Taking organic Spirulina, we will get all nutrients for proper metabolism. Alga is a wholesome nutritional source that can feed, replenish, and sustain people, especially in countries where food is scarce.</strong></p>

<div style="height:100px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are no side effects or something that could hurt people. By buying Spirulina from respectable manufacturers that follow good production practices, we can get only benefits and change our lives for good.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Why is that?</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Astronauts, geologists, and people after chemotherapy use Spirulina which fills the gap when digestion is slow or nutrition is limited.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You cannot take plenty of vegetables or fruits or other supplements to the Moon or into the mountains because of the space and needed conditions to keep it for a longer time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina perfectly fits all requirements for a nutritional supplement that can stay long enough and not be spoiled.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">How do people feel after taking Spirulina?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unless you will take Spirulina from a place where nobody checks quality in the lab and you do not see any evidence that it is an organic supplement, you will be happy as a man after getting your first car or a lady after the perfect date.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People feel content and full, especially if they take it during fasting. Spirulina provides all needed nutrients what do have few calories.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People do not crave food, and can last longer without any complications.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Organic Spirulina is worth gold because of its nutritional value. If food is scarce and you can not get any nutrition, Spirulina is a life-saving alga.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Besides, Spirulina fills the deficiency gap that can happen when people eat processed food, do not exercise, and use chemicals and toxins in various areas of life. Spirulina helps detoxify the body thanks to nutrients such as chlorophyll, enzymes, and trace minerals.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People who take organic Spirulina and follow guidelines from health practitioners on how and when to use it, and they never will complain about wasting time and money.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Spirulina helps during fasting days</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Everybody who tried to lose weight, knows how it is difficult to stay away from food when your body screams for piece of pizza or cake.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We are so adjusted to the eating culture that spending time outside kitchen or restaurant requires will power.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I know it by myself. Despite not having additional pounds, I like chocolate and cakes with a lot of butter. I like it, but my gut does not.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It means I need to avoid this temptation, and Spirulina is a big helper. I take a few tablets of Spirulina, and it calms down my cravings.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Why is Spirulina so good with fasting?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/does-spirulina-help-you-lose-weight/" data-type="post" data-id="14719">Spirulina </a>has all complex of needed to body nutrients. Proteins, trace minerals, vitamins, carotenoids, and essential and non-essential amino acids from Spirulina give you full support during fasting days.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During fasting, the body needs nutrients for metabolic reactions. Detoxification requires minerals that help bind toxins and throw them away from your body.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By drinking water and taking Spirulina, people can survive long days ahead. It does not take so much effort. What is essential, people will not experience sugar spikes in their blood when it happens with someone skipping breakfast.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has proteins, about 65-71 percent of the whole mass. Proteins are for building new blocks in the body.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It does not matter what you are fasting; the body needs proteins to create new tissues and organs when old cells die. The body changes itself constantly.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During fasting, the body uses <a href="https://treatforlife.com/how-does-spirulina-make-you-feel/" data-type="post" data-id="25060">nutrients</a> from Spirulina to speed up detoxification, remove toxins, and regenerate new cells.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Without nutrients the body can lack vital minerals such as magnesium and you can experience deficiency symptoms.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Can people experience side effects with Spirulina?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People can have unpleasant feelings when fasting with Spirulina. It can be exhaustion or headache. The reason of such a situation can be when </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Cells release toxins into bloodstream</li>

<li>After serotonin and hormonal release blood vessels are diluted in the brain</li>

<li>There is not enough liquids to drink during fasting</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fortunately, it happens for a few people who have plenty of toxins in their bodies. Although it will pass, especially when Spirulina helps detoxify the body.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina does not break fast. It is the opposite. Spirulina helps people to go over cravings and the need for food, which often happens with beginners, including myself.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina provides all the needed nutrition for the body. Fasting is laborious when people get rid of toxins and unnecessary pounds. The body needs nutrients to keep the metabolism running smoothly without physical or emotional burden.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, those who cannot spend a day without food but want to lose weight will be content with Spirulina. It will keep them on a steady track without cravings and blood sugar spikes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What is most important is that Spirulina does not hurt or become addictive. Spirulina helps people to go through fast without breaking it, without feeling hungry and sad.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Did you try Spirulina at the time of fasting?</p>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Yes, Spirulina can replace meals for one day or 15 years. It is documented and goes to history as an example that people can flourish on algae without any trouble. They need the commitment to care for their body, not their taste buds.</strong></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Living on Spirulina is a real thing</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nowadays, people have choices about what to eat and when to eat. There is a culture and fashion of food that has long-time traditions. Humans eat not only to satisfy their appetites but to discover new tastes, find new recipes, and learn from different cultures.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Having dinner with family or friends is a pleasure, as enjoying peaceful and entertaining conversations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, some countries as Japan, take less importance on fancy recipes. They care about quality for the mind and the body.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dr. <em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Hills" data-type="URL" data-id="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Hills">Christopher Hills</a></em>, who promoted, grew, and marketed Spirulina as green gold, wrote about his acquaintance <em>Toru Matsui</em>, who lived on Spirulina and Chlorella for 15 years.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These algae do not differ so much except that Spirulina has a thin wall and is easier to digest than Chlorella, which has a thick wall.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24794" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Toru-Matsui-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Living on Spirulina</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You can see in the picture above the philosopher <a href="https://treatforlife.com/can-i-live-on-only-eating-spirulina/" data-type="post" data-id="24351">Toru Matsui</a> and Prof. <em>Hiroshi Nakamura</em>. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Professor <em>Hiroshi Nakamura</em> was a lifelong friend of <em>Christopher Hills</em>, a biologist and a Dean of Tokyo Women&#8217;s University. Additionally, <em>Nakamura</em> was a noted scientist and a colleague of <em>Emperor Hirohito</em>( himself a marine biologist).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Emperor asked <em>Nakamura</em> to search for alternative food sources for Japan after the Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombings.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This story is part of history about the importance of Spirulina and other algae that can help escape hunger and nourish the body and the soul.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">How is Spirulina significant nowadays?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Everybody who recognizes the importance of proteins knows the price of eggs or meat, especially organic. Not everybody can afford to pay 7 dollars for dozen of eggs.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina costs little, especially if you add this alga to other meals. You do not need to live on Spirulina for months, but knowing that there are options to have algae that provide you complete nutrition in your time of need is not a brainer.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Nutritional analysis of Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina contains 65 to 71 percent protein. It depends on growing conditions. These proteins contain all eight essential amino acids.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These acids are</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Isoleucine</li>

<li>Leucine</li>

<li>Lysine</li>

<li>Methionine</li>

<li>Phenylalanine</li>

<li>Threonine</li>

<li>Tryphophane</li>

<li>Valine</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Additionally, Spirulina has ten of twelve non-essential amino acids:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Alanine</li>

<li>Arginine</li>

<li>Aspartic acid</li>

<li>Cystine</li>

<li>Glutamic acid</li>

<li>Histidine</li>

<li>Proline</li>

<li>Serine</li>

<li>Tyrosine</li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina supplies minerals and trace elements, absorbed from its growth medium into easily absorbed forms. Besides it, Spirulina contains vitamins, carotenoids, enzymatic pigments, fats, sugars, and salts.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has enormous nutritional value that was proven many decades ago. Fast food, excess sugar, and a toxic environment do not add good health to people&#8217;s bodies.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes, we need to remember that we have solutions to fight hunger in a simple way. Dr.<em><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Hills" data-type="URL" data-id="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Hills">Christopher Hills</a></em> showed it with his colleagues and friends, helping to grow Spirulina in India, sending produced algae to places such as Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion, or donating 9 million dollars worth of Spirulina to charitable organizations in the USA and abroad.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Aside from such magnificent activity of the Father of Spirulina, we can be sure that there is an option to live on Spirulina and have algae for a meal. Who knows what the future will bring? Spirulina always will be a savior in good and challenging times.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a wholesome food that gives benefits for everybody who is willing to consume this green miracle.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do I exaggerate it? No. I learned about Spirulina from <em>Christopher Hills</em>, who grew, produced, and promoted Spirulina a few decades ago.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nowaday, people forgot that we have great source of food that is nutraceutical and does not have any side effects , especially if we take organic Spirulina.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I read in a few media outlets that bugs can change food, especially meat. Bugs are bugs; they are for birds. People can become sick from things that they never ate before.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is the opposite thing. People ate it thousands of years ago. People in Africa consume Spirulina nowadays too.</p>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Spirulina is an entirely nutritious food for people with a slow metabolism who lack nutrients. Seniors, astronauts, geologists, and people who cannot get fresh and wholesome food will get nutrition from organic Spirulina. Seniors need proteins as building blocks. Spirulina will provide it.</strong></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Spirulina for seniors</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Seniors do not get enough nutrients, especially those who live in cities. Some people do not live near supermarkets where they can buy vegetables and fruits.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina can solve all these problems associated with the lack of nutrients.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A great example of the benefits of Spirulina to seniors is <em>Christopher Hill&#8217;s</em> friend <em>Toru Matsui</em>, who lived on Spirulina and Chlorella for 15 years.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Toru-Matsui.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Toru-Matsui.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24766" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Toru-Matsui.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Toru-Matsui-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption"><em>Toru Matsui</em> eats algae</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the image is written:</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Prof.<em>Hiroshi Nakamura</em> and <em>Toru Matsui</em>, an 85-year-old philosopher who has lived on Chlorella and Spirulina for 15 years. Spirulina contains enough vitamin C for living; all other vitamins in Spirulina are in excess of human needs. They are eating algae and getting younger. </p>
<cite>Dr.Christopher Hills, Rejuvenating the Body through Fasting with Spirulina Plankton,55</cite></blockquote>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You do not need to eat only algae. There is more food to taste. However, Spirulina provides abundant nutrients that can fill the gap when people lack vitamins, essential acids, or proteins.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Benefits of Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is balanced <a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">nutraceutical food</a> that contains antioxidants, essential amino acids, trace minerals, chlorophyll, and enzymes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina helps people who cannot properly digest food, have various metabolism problems, after long illnesses, usage of antibiotics, and so on.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">People who have chronic diseases such as cancer can benefit from Spirulina. People digest algae easily. Spirulina does not have many calories. It helps when people want to lose weight but can only be with food.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Some people prefer Chlorella, but Spirulina has a pleasant taste and is digested faster because of absorption. The wall in Spirulina is tiny, while Chlorella has a thick wall.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Seniors can use Spirulina at any time without any side effects. Organic Spirulina brands are recommended. Older people have a slower metabolism. They cannot fast absorb needed materials from food.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here Spirulina helps because high nutritional value. Being a nutraceutical food, Spirulina can improve the well-being of many seniors.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is not recommended for people who have problems with their kidneys or have acute issues with the digestive system.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do you use Spirulina or know somebody who benefits from this algae?</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Benefits of eight essential acids in Spirulina</h2>

<h3 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Isoleucine</h3>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It helps to synthesize other non-essential amino acids, and aids in optimal growth, intelligence development, and nitrogen equilibrium in the body.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This essential amino acid is a building block of blood antibodies, helps strengthen the circulatory system, and maintains the normal growth of cells.</p>

<h3 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Methionine</h3>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This amino acid maintains liver health and is an anti-stress factor that calms the nerves.</p>

<h3 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Phenylalanine</h3>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Benefits of non-essential amino acids</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The body can synthesize these non-essential amino acids. However, it is better to have it on hand when cells manufacture hormones, proteins, enzymes, brain chemicals, and other products of metabolism.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These amino non-essential acids help with</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Minerals in Spirulina contain an organic form that helps the body to absorb them more easily.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Inorganic forms of minerals can be digested and absorbed fully because of bioavailability. It means that the body can be deficient in minerals, leading to various health problems.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The main essential minerals and trace minerals in Spirulina are</p>

<li>Calcium</li>

<li>Zinc</li>

<li>Magnesium</li>

<li>Manganese</li>

<li>Selenium</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Additionally, Spirulina contains fats, salts, and sugars. The algae have few calories, making Spirulina a good option for fasting.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Imagine that you want to lose weight, but it is not easy to avoid cravings. Spirulina ideally helps with that because of being complete nutritional food with few calories.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a great way to take it daily because of its benefits to the body. Organic Spirulina does not have any side effects. You can take Spirulina every day, and get all nutrients without gaining weight. It is the opposite. You can lose weight with the help of Spirulina, which has few calories but a full tray of nutrients.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">The short introduction to Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is cyanobacteria. It belongs to the kingdom <em>Monera</em> and division <em>Cyanophyta</em>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has been consumed as food for ages. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This blue-green alga is a <a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">nutraceutical</a> food which means that Spirulina has healing properties too.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a source of proteins and vitamins, notably vitamin B12 and provitamin A( β-carotene), and essential fatty acids like γ-linolenic acid (GLA).</p>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Spirulina is exceptionally rich in rare vitamin B12 (Cobalamin), which is hard to obtain from vegetable sources. Spirulina contains 250 percent more vitamin B12 compared with beef liver. A single serving of alga exceeds the RDA(Recommended Daily Allowance) of 1.5 to 3mg daily.</strong></p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Credible sources about existing vitamin B12 in Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has been known for hundreds of years. It was a natural food source for Aztecs and people in Africa or Mexico who consumed this alga for ages.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nowadays, when soil is depleted, and it is not easy to get nutrients from food, alternative sources such as Spirulina become a sensation and are put o the spotlight.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="http://hillsfoundation.org/" data-type="URL" data-id="http://hillsfoundation.org/">Christopher Hills</a> was one of the first people who grew, promoted, and used Spirulina intensively.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Along with him, other entrepreneurs spread the word about blue-green algae that can change the world, escaping hunger and malnutrition.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/roberthenrikson/overlay/1635498348677/single-media-viewer/?profileId=ACoAAAEeoaUBTs1trortn3DAA5Y58bHwYCuMCvY" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.linkedin.com/in/roberthenrikson/overlay/1635498348677/single-media-viewer/?profileId=ACoAAAEeoaUBTs1trortn3DAA5Y58bHwYCuMCvY">Robert Henrikson</a> from <em>Ronore Enterprises</em>, Inc.,now from <em>Earthrise</em> company, his coauthors, and colleagues; <em>Wendy I. Fulcher</em>, author of <em>The Whole Truth about Spirulina</em>, Jack Joseph Challem, <em>Spirulina What It Is&#8230;The Health Benefits It Can Give You</em>, and authors of book with comprehensive scientific discoveries about Spirulina, <em>Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health</em>, <em>M.E.Gerschwin</em> and <em>Amha Belay</em> are ones who know how valuable Spirulina is as nutraceutical food and nutrition source.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ROBERT-HENRIKSON-TALKS.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ROBERT-HENRIKSON-TALKS.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24450" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ROBERT-HENRIKSON-TALKS.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ROBERT-HENRIKSON-TALKS-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blICrImuukw" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blICrImuukw">Robert Henrikson talks about the importance of Spirulina</a></figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Besides books, another excellent source for scientific information is PubMed.gov. There are plain facts, nothing more.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I guess that it is the most important measure to decide what is real and what is not is to look at facts, evaluate them, and make decisions.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Does Spirulina contain vitamin B12?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Yes, Spirulina is rich in vitamin B12, the so-called Cobalamin.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is an excellent <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31502254/" data-type="URL" data-id="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31502254/">source of vitamin B12.</a> These studies in 2019 show that Spirulina contains vitamin B12 and is a great bioavailable vitamin B12 intake for vegans.</p>

<h3 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Why do vegans need vitamin B12?</h3>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vegans do not eat food from animal sources. The deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Nerve degeneration</li>

<li>Pernicious anemia</li>

<li>Premature senility</li>

<li>Fatigue</li>

<li>Mental illness resembling schizophrenia</li>
</ul>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">What do scientists write about Spirulina and vitamin B12?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Scientists and editors of the book <em>Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health</em>, <em>M.E.Gershwin</em> and <em>Amha</em> <em>Belay</em>, point out studies that show how valuable Spirulina is as a nutritional source and nutraceutical food.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Early interest in Spirulina was focused mainly on its potential as a source of protein, vitamins, especially <strong>vitamin B12</strong> and provitamin A(β-carotene), and essential fatty acids like γ-linolenic acid (GLA).</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Recently more attention has been given to the study of its therapeutic effects, which include the reduction of cholesterol and nephrotoxicity by heavy metals, anticancer properties, protection against radiation, and enhancement of the immune system.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina also possesses other biological functions such as antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasite activities.</p>
<cite>M.E.Gershwin and Amha Belay, Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, 228</cite></blockquote>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the same book <em>Spirulina for Human Nutrition and Health</em>, coauthors <em>Meltem Conk Dalay</em> and <em>Guven Ozdemir</em> explain Spirulina&#8217;s antibacterial activity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These scientists mention vitamin B12 in Spirulina when they describe how Spirulina shows antimicrobial pursuit.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina contains vitamin A, important in preventing eye diseases; iron and vitamin B12, useful in treating hypoferric anemia and pernicious anemia; γ-linolenic acid, appropriate in treatment of atopic child eczema therapy, to alleviate premenstrual syndrome, and in immune system stimulation.</p>
<cite>M.E.Gershwin and Amha Belay, Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, 247</cite></blockquote>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Why do I show this information regarding vitamin B12?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The reason is simple. When I looked for facts about B12 in Spirulina online, I saw only statements that tell that Spirulina does not have B12. They call vitamin B12 pseudo-cobalamin. According to them, this form is unsuitable for humans. Vitamin B12 from animals is a better option.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It prompted my curiosity, and I searched over all books that I have on Spirulina. Doctors and scientists pointed out that Spirulina contains B12.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The last book was <em>Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health</em>. I bought this book on Amazon when I needed the newest findings about this alga.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The book was expensive, something about 80-90 dollars. What I found in it exceeded all my expectations. Coauthors mentioned vitamin B12, which is in Spirulina.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Why do all these scientists point to different results? I found in books that Spirulina has vitamin B12. I do not believe that all these authors would be wrong, do you?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This video below explains why Spirulina poses a danger and why studies show different results.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/IS-SPIRULINA-A-GOOD-SOURCE-OF-B12.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/IS-SPIRULINA-A-GOOD-SOURCE-OF-B12.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24477" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/IS-SPIRULINA-A-GOOD-SOURCE-OF-B12.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/IS-SPIRULINA-A-GOOD-SOURCE-OF-B12-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6DHTqK3xg8" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6DHTqK3xg8">Is Spirulina a good source of vitamin B12?</a></figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is an undiscovered gem. Why? This alga can prevent all problems associated with malnutrition, hunger, heavy metal poisoning, viruses, and microbes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nutrients in Spirulina strengthen the innate immune system, act as antioxidants, help with diabetes, and prevent aging.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Without a doubt, Spirulina is an excellent nutrition source that could sustain humans for a long time. How long? <a href="https://treatforlife.com/can-i-live-on-only-eating-spirulina/" data-type="post" data-id="24351">15 years or more.</a></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina can help end the world&#8217;s hunger and malnutrition if the right forces unite and solve logistic and manufacturing problems.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina contains vitamin B12 along with other valuable ingredients. Choosing organic Spirulina and consuming it daily will give you all the nutrition you need. Is it wonderful, is it not?</p>

<p class="has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Spirulina has a particular smell. It is light and reminds the aroma of greens from the ocean. Organic Spirulina does not have a strong smell. If alga smells fishy, it something wrong with the product. It can be problems with the high number of bacteria what does not suppose to be in Spirulina, especially in organic one.</strong></p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">How to differ a good product from the wrong one?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">First, you need to choose the right manufacturer who adapts good practice of producing Spirulina.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Second, you need to buy only organic Spirulina that does not have any contaminants such as heavy metals or bacteria.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Third, you need to see the expiration date. If the product is old, it can be spoiled with oxidation for a long time.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Overall, it is common sense to use it when going to the farmers market or the store. You do not buy spoiled meat or bread with fungus. You look for the best product for you and your loved ones.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is the same with Spirulina. You do not want to consume a product that is not fresh, smells like fish, and does not have an organic label on it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina grows in lakes in nature. Previously the contamination was not widely spread, and people in Africa or in South America consumed dried Spirulina.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nowadays, you can not be sure about the quality of Spirulina directly from of these lakes. Air and water contamination can be everywhere. It is the reason why it is the best option to buy an organic product that fits all requirements of good practice and has all vital nutrients.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Does Spirulina smell like fish?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No, organic Spirulina does not smell like fish. The alga has a subtle smell, like from ocean greens. It is supposed to be this way because growing Spirulina in ponds full of water.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-DOES-NOT-SMELL-BAD.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-DOES-NOT-SMELL-BAD.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24338" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-DOES-NOT-SMELL-BAD.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-DOES-NOT-SMELL-BAD-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">An organic Spirulina does not smell bad</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If Spirulina smells terrible it means that something wrong is with this algae. It is better not to touch this product at all.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A high bacteria count can cause a fishy smell, and you do not need to have trouble with nausea or diarrhea after consuming a bad product.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Importance of Spirulina</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><a href="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-SMELLS-NICE.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-SMELLS-NICE.png" alt="" class="wp-image-24343" srcset="https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-SMELLS-NICE.png 700w, https://treatforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AN-ORGANIC-SPIRULINA-SMELLS-NICE-300x200.png 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></a><figcaption class="wp-element-caption"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KljLd1fqbnA" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KljLd1fqbnA">Importance of Spirulina</a></figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina is a <a href="https://treatforlife.com/nutraceutical-food/" data-type="post" data-id="2843">nutraceutical</a> food that contains all vital nutrients. People who are malnourished, astronauts, geologists, who can not get fresh food, benefit from algae. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Do you know that NASA used <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/338159923_Spirulina-Food_of_the_Future" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/338159923_Spirulina-Food_of_the_Future">Spirulina for astronauts</a> as wholesome food?</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina helps with diabetes because of keeping blood sugar in check, provides nutrition during fasting, and works as an antioxidant that fights against free radicals.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has plenty of roles that are beneficial to human beings. One condition is that if you want to rip all good things that Spirulina provides, you need to pick an organic product.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Organic Spirulina smells nice and does not have any additional shades of scent.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Organic Spirulina does not have any smell. Only algae containing a high count of bacteria inside can smell fishy, and you do not need this product.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Your health is essential, and picking organic Spirulina will help you benefit from the food of the century. It was a saying: an apple a day, a doctor is away.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I can tell you it is the same with organic Spirulina: one spoon a day, your problems are away.</p>

Spirulina digests quickly and does not create a burden on the body. Alga helps remove toxins from the body and is beneficial during fasting.</strong></p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Does Spirulina energize the body?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spirulina has all the essential nutrients that help the body to perform all needed actions. The easiness of digesting Spirulina does not interfere with the time when people go to sleep.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is the opposite with heavy food that is common for late dinner. People eat meat, and it requires longer digestion time. Spirulina assimilates very quickly and does not create a burden for the human body.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">The quality of Spirulina</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The quality of Spirulina is essential. If you take Spirulina without knowing where it came from, you can be poisoned or get nausea. It happened when Spirulina grew in waters without proper lab testing and quality checking in an accredited lab.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is best to take Spirulina from a dependable source that can guarantee quality and has a way how to check production processes.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">How much can you take of Spirulina during the day?</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is best to take Spirulina in tablets or put powders into a milkshake. Taking six tablets daily, which would be 3 grams of Spirulina per day, is advisable.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is no need to get more of Spirulina because of the knowing that the body does not need over excess of this alga.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to <em>Robert Hendrikson</em>, one spoon a day of Spirulina can eliminate the deficiency of iron that bothers the whole world.</p>

<h2 class="has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color wp-block-heading">Wrapping up</h2>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>
