Inspiration from Earl Nightingale
Inspiration from Earl Nightingale helped me to look at the world from the different angle as it was before. At the first time, I heard about Earl Nightingale from Warrior Room member. The inspiration from Earl Nightingale came through Warrior Forum. I was looking for options how to expand my knowledge about Internet Marketing. Warrior Room is a place, where people gather looking how to exchange with each other the news, knowledge, thoughts, products and experience. I like self-improvement section. One guy told here that he was impressed with Lead The Field by Earl Nightingale. I bought CD. It was my best investment besides my Mac and Forbes.
About Earl Nightingale
Earl Nightingale was born in the USA, Los Angeles on 1921, March 12. His mom moved to Tent City when his father left his family. From young days, Earl was curious why some people are rich or some of them not. His mom liked to read books after the difficult job. As he told, she visited and traveled all world through books, every tiny corner of Earth. Mother’s passion for books was inherited. Earl Nightingale was fascinated and immersed in luring books world.
The Love for Books
From early days, a library was the source of knowledge for him. He read all books from writings about Indians to New Testament and sayings of Buddha. Of course, there were a lot more of them. After years, spent in Marine Corps, where he was Corporal, Earl Nightingale took the broadcasting job. Together he researched world’s greatest religions, psychology, and philosophy. He was twenty-nine when he understand this secret why people reach different heights. In the same way, why people do not achieve anything at all.
The Inspiration from Earl Nightingale and Greatest Discovery
This secret was that we become what we think about. Earl Nightingale‘s book Greatest Discovery is a valuable resource for these guys and girls, who want to change their lives for good.
One of my favorite parts of this book is the description regarding the situation when workers were laid off. They were unhappy because they taught that company supposed to take care of them. Always. Employees worked twenty years for the same company, and they felt that they can lose the jobs. Anyway, nobody thought about the possibility to improve skills, find a second profession besides what they had.
The moral is this: say yes to life, be open to opportunities to learn different things. Waiting when somebody will take care of you is foolish. Of course, it is tempting, but it is as the same as to live with parents and do not accept responsibility for your actions and consequences.
Thoughts Are Things
Earl Nightingale’s main discovery was that thoughts are things. He wrote his book Greatest Discovery in 1987. Foundation for this book was his audio record The Strangest Secret. It broadcasted in 1956. This audio record was famous. It was sold over million copies.
When I read other authors who write about self-improvement, I see Earl Nightingale’s influence in their works. Earl Nightingale as Napoleon Hill is the giant who inspired and inspires millions living souls around the world. The inspiration from Earl Nightingale let me discover new horizons of self-improvement.
Four Healthy Steps
I like his description of the conversation with his friend, plastic surgeon, Dr. Maxwell Maltz. In the book, Greatest Discovery four proper steps are given from doctor Maltz. Here they are:
- Forgive others
- Forgive yourself
- See yourself at your best
- Choose confidence instead of frustration
- Keep up with yourself, march to your own drummer, go at your own pace and do not worry about what others are doing.
The inspiration from Earl Nightingale opened many doors for me such as Wealthy Affiliate. Without true beginning, I would not start looking how to accomplish my goals and dreams.

Thank you for feedback. For me Earl Nightingale sounds as father or great friend, who wants to help, encourage and teach what he understand for himself. All the best, Nemira.
