Everybody who has an imagination can make up stories. It is easy. However, we can not make up facts and reviews. It is a tricky task if we want to explain why and how we can improve our and other lives by following advice from people who devoted lives to research and science. Who can tell us what is wrong and what is right?
It is not easy to differentiate whether it is wrong and is done only for money or whether it is genuine research done for the sake of humanity. Facts are facts; they do not lie.
Do you trust a professional?
The first place goes to scientists and professionals in particular areas. I could pretend that I knew about the Solar System. Unfortunately, I can not be an expert because my knowledge is narrow. It is the same in all aspects of life.
We go to fix our teeth, dentists. We check the car in the dealership, not in the Mayo Clinic. Everything requires an expert in a particular area.
It is the same with the well-being of our health. The information helps us to choose the best doctor and health practitioner.
The information is the key to success and well-being
The feedback is essential because nobody can return our health if something goes wrong. It is beautiful that people can read nowadays. They can search the Internet. Answers are everywhere; we need to look for them.
We can find information about prevention from professionals in a particular area. They spent time researching, gathering, and organizing facts and reviews about our health and well-being. They went to colleges and universities. They have experience. Consumers benefit from books and scientific articles because of the information presented freely. It is not hidden somewhere in the laboratory or university libraries.
Facts and reviews are real information
Facts and reviews are presented in books such as Dr. Carolyn Dean’s The Magnesium Miracle or Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay. These mentioned books are a drop in the ocean of affordable knowledge. We need to pick a book and look for exciting or vital information for us. For example, I had a slight tension before sleep. After reading about the importance of magnesium and starting to use this essential mineral, I feel the difference. No worries or panic attacks. This particular book, The Magnesium Miracle written by a doctor with over forty years of experience in the medical field. I got the information for free. Sorry, it’s a few dollars, but not hundreds.
Mines of gold
Books open the whole world to us. Books are gold mines. We learn from people who lived a hundred years ago and passed their wisdom to future generations. Books are reservoirs of facts, knowledge, imagination, inspiration, and experience. Books are the concentrated sources of information.
We can not carry with us all the knowledge and facts of the world. We pick a book, look for information, and use it for everything when we need it.
Books, scientific magazines, and various websites with credible sources of bona fide information give access to the exciting and friendly world.
Facts and reviews are genuine things
Of course, there will always be people who think they know better than professionals. They will make their own decisions. However, being informed, checking facts, and continually renewing knowledge about progress in science and the world would help us expand our view.
How about you? Where do you get your information? Do you have your sources, or do you follow your intuition? It would be great to hear from you. Do you prefer facts and reviews over statements from celebrities?
Update
It is interesting how this blog resonates with us nowadays when officials try to persuade us that everything that they do is good for us. Is it?
Penelope says
Hi -thank you for the post reminding us of the value of expertise. I think with all the abundance of online information it’s easy to forget that there’s a legitimate difference between facts and opinion. And some people spend huge amounts of money and time becoming versed in those facts, and those people write books sharing information with us.
Nemira says
Hello, Penelope. We know from history how facts were hidden, twisted and changed that it become not facts but different stories. I adore scientists because they document what they found. It is real. Of course, there are times when is not easy to grasp grandiosity and importance of discoveries, but sooner or later humankind appreciates efforts of inventors, researchers and scientists. The famous Galileo told that Earth spins. At this time people thought that Earth is flat and stands on three elephants. Nowadays we can just laugh because we know what it is a nonsense. However, a few hundred years ago somebody can spend time in jail or be prosecuted as Galileo.
Of course there are plenty of things which can not be explained in a few sentences. The science has plenty of topics which wait to be discovered and explained. Till now we can dig in the findings of people who are professionals and share their knowledge with us.
All the best, Nemira.
