Our lives are a constant journey. Always forward, never returning. Along the road, we meet people who have an impact in another or another way on our lives. As I remember, my biggest heroes were from books. We started with Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales and finished with David R. Hawkins’s books.
I now understand that it was a glum theory a few years ago. I mean the book Power Versus Force. The author explains the kinesiology method, which enables them to give answers to most questions. Fascinating.
Encounter with writers, mentors, and doctors
A few years ago, a teacher in college gave us the task. We are supposed to write a research theme on our desired topic. I have always been into valuable things like chocolate, fruits, herbs, and meditation. I choose the question regarding alternative medicine. Researching this theme, I found Doctor Carolyn Dean, which was mentioned in Shirley MacLaine’s book Sage-ing While Age-ing. You see how everything is connected. One thing leads to another.
Shirley MacLaine is an acclaimed artist, dancer, actress, and spiritual seeker. Doctor Carolyn Dean is a naturopath, lector, and book writer. They both have one thing in common: a wish to give people more information and insights about their lives and mine.
How does it contribute to us?
Doctor Carolyn Dean’s book Death by Modern Medicine left me speechless and confused until I finished reading it. I thought about how it could be. Why is this information not on the first pages of most prominent newspapers? Maybe it is just me who prefers carrots over food, which is filled with many elements, and difficult to pronounce. This book led to other authors such as Dr. Joseph Mercola and Dr. Mehmet Oz. These doctors show us possibilities for being informed about what is happening.
Our lifestyle, food, and surroundings have an impact on us. Everybody wants to be young, happy, and live an adult life. Educating ourselves, exploring new topics like scientific research about the pros and cons of medicine, giving attention, and caring for ourselves and our families, prompts us to evaluate options better.
It is never too late to begin
It is never too late to live a life differently. I mean to stop smoking or start to walk short distances, laugh at yourself, help the stranger, or finish unpleasant tasks. Not everybody is lucky to have the right parents right lifestyle. Overall, who can tell what is right and what is not? I guess it is just me, you, or somebody else who has the feeling inside us. If we behave in one way or another, maybe our consciousness reminds us what is okay, or we need to wait, not rush making decisions.
Sometimes people put themselves in frames too narrow for them. It is a safe place to be. Family and friends surround us. However, by staying in one place and not expanding our horizons, our range of understanding could be the same as a few hundred years ago. If we think about different and new directions, it could be a fresh start in our lives. We can go up from one level to another, enriching our lives together with people’s lives who go with or follow us.
