Hi Nemira. You are right about the stress and polution depleting the minerals from out bodies as well from the soil itself. I admit I haven tasted spirulina myself, but I did drink chlorella for a while. One small spoonful in a glass of water, and I noticed a hige changein my overal health. And spirulina is even healthier, do you agree?

Hello, Nikola. Chlorella is valuable algae too. The big difference between Spirulina and Chlorella is that the Chlorella has thick wall. Spirulina is few times easier digested. When you digest faster, your body uses less energy. We all have limited resources of energy through life. Little details help to save energy for us such as good quality food, right lifestyle and so on.
Spirulina is not tasty one. I take tablets. They are easily swallowed with water. Spirulina gas a slight metallic taste.if you use Spirulina in smoothies, you do not feel any taste.

Thank you for this great and informative article. To be honest I have never heard of Spirulina before. But, it sounds great and I am very intrigued. I will try it out. Nowadays the health industry bombards us with so many different supplements, vitamins, diets etc. That it is hard to know what to use or try. Spirulina is something that sounds worth trying. I will be delighted to spread more information about this miraculous product. I found Spirulina through Tianshi company twenty years ago. The information provided by doctors prompted me to look deeper in this algae. There plenty literature about Spirulina but the best book came out couple years ago. There is information from scientists, doctors and researchers. In some countries authorities do not believe in the products from Nature till they get evidences from scientists.
I use Spirulina myself. Tablets work for me best. I am not so hungry anymore. Today I did not buy the piece of chocolate at the store. Usually I buy something sweet till I get home. There is some progress and I like it.

Thank you for the interesting article on Spirulina. I have never heard of this supplement and it sounds very interesting. I am a hospice nurse and discuss supplement all the time, I wonder if this would be a good supplement for cancer patients to take to slow the progression of the disease. Good info!
