New Year Promises

January 3, 2017 By Nemira 4 Comments

New Year is a start, a new one. New Year promises can keep us excited for a while. Many of us conclude that New Year will bring us different results such as relationships, health, and financial freedom. We think that everything or almost everything will change to the right. Unfortunately, thinking and waiting for changes will not achieve the desired results.

Action Please

Without action, we do not get from bed. Without effort, we do not move from one point to the different.

Everything moves around us. We are part of the movement, big or small.

Do Not Talk

Plenty of us likes to brag about what we would like to do after New Year. When we talk about our plans, we scatter the energy which could serve for actions. Sometimes after the conversation about our projects, we feel that we have already done something. Did we? We can feel ashamed because we did not move from the dead point.

New Year Promises in Action

Small Steps

Small steps are better compared to nothing. If you want to lose weight, start with an analysis of food quality. The quality is outstanding, not quantity. By changing junk food to nutritious, you will feel energetic and fulfilled.

New Year promises

Do you feel lazy? Do you want to go to the gym but you are shy? You can start by walking outside. Choosing stairs over the elevator, walking in the park, driving a bicycle, or walking a dog from the shelter will allow you to feel better in a few ways. You will find that you are not alone. Plenty of people go out and move. You do not need run marathons. Just move.

Later on, you can start with more pressing tasks such as exercises. Small steps lead to bigger jobs. You will see how the energy will return to you.

How About Financial Freedom?

Many people try the lottery. If somebody wins, how about happiness? Most of them regret winning.

Small steps are reaching financial freedom work too. Start by clearing out your wishes and expectations. Do you know what you want from life? You must formulate real goals. Just saying that I want to be rich does not lead anywhere.

When you know what you want, you can look for ways to accomplish it.

  • Look for people who have already achieved your desired goals.
  • Create a plan and stick to it.
  • Revise the plan and follow your dream.
  • Ask for advice—research material regarding your goal.

Find Like-Minded People

People who are serious about accomplishing New Year’s goals can be great support and advisers to you.

You can support each other, comfort, and help with encouraging words when everything seems dull and far away.

Having support and aid from friends or coworkers means a lot. Of course, if they are serious about completing tasks. Doubters and haters are not welcome to participate in our journey.

Record your Progress

When you write goals on paper or on the computer, you document your actions. It does not matter how small your steps are. These measures show that you took steps. It is progress that will transit you from one level to another.

Conclusion

  • Know that you want
  • Find a support group or friends
  • If you are strong, you can do it by yourself
  • Be realistic
  • Record and track your progress
  • Do not blame yourself if something goes wrong
  • Breath, relax, and start again

New Year promises can become a reality if we would take action.

    Great visually with detailed content.

Would be nice to see posts in the supplements section for products other than spirulina. Would also be better visually if each blog post was better separated, they all seem to merge into one the further down you go.

You have clearly put a lot of effort into this website and it really shows, well done! I will definitely be taking pointers from it to implement into mine in terms of design and layout

Thank you for the inspirational post. I always like to read about plans for life and talking about taking practical actions.

The problem is sometimes, in life, you’ll get dragged down or delayed by certain unforeseen circumstances. Like last year, I have a friend whom had many plans and dreams whom met into a major accident and he had lost 1 leg due to the accident.

However he is strong and determined and he is making very good progress of recovery.

In life, we will be brought down by certain things that we do not have control off and I think it is important to take action and to control the tangibles of our lives.

Hello, Leo, yes, you are right. We can not control everything. Something unexpected can happen. We can stop, observe what happened, fix if something was changed or damaged and move on.Most important that we would know our destination because there are plenty ways how to reach it. I do not like New Year promises because it puts me in a frame. It is better to know what I want and reach for goals despite time in the year. For me New Year can be anytime.

      All the best, Nemira.
