Health Benefits Of Reading Books

Health Benefits Of Reading Books

Books are mines of gold and diamonds where you can dig for precious discoveries. The Health benefits of reading books are visible, especially if you pick suitable creations. Books wroten by the world’s greatest thinkers prompt us to expand our knowledge about our surroundings and life overall. They let us be closer to them and learn from them. We can use our life’s advice to reach our dreams and goals.

Books expand our minds thanks to the formation of new connections between neurons. Books provide information and transfer us to different words without buying tickets to other countries or cities.

Do you save your time?

If we analyze how we spend our days, some of us will find that we use our time inefficiently. We spend hours in traffic or waiting in lines. At home, TV is a typical time killer. Commercials and questionable news fill up and clutter our minds. Robin Sharma, a famous writer and leadership expert, advises having a book with yourself when you travel or have additional time.  When you need to wait somewhere or for something, reading books is a great way to enrich yourself with knowledge. Nowadays, there are so many devices that do not take up so much space, such as Kindle or iPod from Apple.

The outcome of reading books

Our brain always is hungry for food, such as information, ideas, or insights, not only vitamins and minerals. If we give new thoughts and dreams to our minds, it will offer us great solutions for how to move forward. It is the same as with our bodies. If we eat junk food, the consequences are gloomy. I talk about our favorite jeans, dresses, or beach swimsuits, which look after consuming chemicals in the diet terrible on us. Most important is our well-being, such as the ability to move, see, and think. Our minds are the same.

When you give your mind what to think, solve, and explore, it enriches with new thoughts. We can believe in absurd ideas or expand our view with further information.

Health Benefits Of Reading Books

Besides mind-stretching, the brain gets more connections between neurons. You hear about the elasticity of the brain. The more we learn and obtain from books, the more we will be alert, intelligent, and flexible with the new information.

Primarily it is suitable for individuals who get older. When we read books, our brains are forced to work and make new connections. We absorb information faster when we develop the habit of reading exciting books.

It is never too late to learn new things. Louise Hay, the famous writer, and Hay House founder, started to use the computer when she was over fifty. Her age did not restrict her. She continually learned new things and shared positive findings and information with others through her books.

TV versus books

Suppose we feed the brain with questionable information from TV, where so much negativity and empty talk, our minds are left to deal with this nonsense by themselves. Somebody will go to couch potato mode; someone will look for escape in video games or chat with friends.

Health Benefits Of Reading Books

Of course, some programs on TV expand our view of the world and give us knowledge about scientific discoveries, but not so many of them. By choosing books over TV, you provide the opportunity to think by yourself. When you read, you are surrounded by ideas and findings from the greatest thinkers in the world. Wisely choosing what to understand is an essential detail in your self-improvement process. Besides it, the reading of books transfers you to another world, especially if the content is inspiring and appealing to you.

You can relax and forget the outer world. It means that your mind will be balanced and in a calm state.

Enjoy reading books

Good books such as Earl Nightingale’s  The Strangest Secret or Paulo Coelho’s Alchemist give us insight that we can reach anything we think. Books are like friends whom you can turn to for support, forgiveness, advice, and recommendation. I consider books as a haven. They are different in topics, but the best of them are written by people who reached heights in personal development, made discoveries in science, and helped people like Mother Teresa or Mahatma Gandhi. It is a great privilege to read thoughts, advice, and insights from famous leaders. It is the same as being in a great company. Their writing and ideas are infectious. At first,  we can follow them, but later, who knows, maybe you or somebody else will go further, discovering new plateaus.

Seneca, who lived hundreds of years ago, mentioned the benefits of reading. He told me that it is a privilege to hear from famous people who put their thoughts into books. Seneka is proper because being in the company of intelligent people prompts you to follow their example or reach for higher goals.

Pick the best books for reading

I think that everybody who likes to read or wants to explore this mysterious and fascinating world of books has some favorite authors. My favorite authors are Charles Dickens, Paulo Coelho, Earl Nightingale, Robin Sharma, and Deepak  Chopra. I have some more readings from Mark Twain and Khalil Gibran, J.R.R. Tolkien and Christian Hans Andersen, and David R. Hawkins. These guys are pillars of my life, friends, mentors, and advisers.

Facts and Reviews

February 26, 2017 By Nemira 2 Comments

Everybody who has an imagination can make up stories. It is easy. However, we can not make up facts and reviews. It is a tricky task if we want to explain why and how we can improve our and other lives by following advice from people who devoted lives to research and science. Who can tell us what is wrong and what is right?

It is not easy to differentiate whether it is wrong and is done only for money or whether it is genuine research done for the sake of humanity. Facts are facts; they do not lie.

Do you trust a professional?

The first place goes to scientists and professionals in particular areas. I could pretend that I knew about the Solar System. Unfortunately, I can not be an expert because my knowledge is narrow. It is the same in all aspects of life.

We go to fix our teeth, dentists. We check the car in the dealership, not in the Mayo Clinic. Everything requires an expert in a particular area.

It is the same with the well-being of our health. The information helps us to choose the best doctor and health practitioner.

facts and reviews

The information is the key to success and well-being

The feedback is essential because nobody can return our health if something goes wrong. It is beautiful that people can read nowadays. They can search the  Internet. Answers are everywhere; we need to look for them.

We can find information about prevention from professionals in a particular area. They spent time researching, gathering, and organizing facts and reviews about our health and well-being. They went to colleges and universities. They have experience. Consumers benefit from books and scientific articles because of the information presented freely. It is not hidden somewhere in the laboratory or university libraries.

Facts and reviews are real information

Facts and reviews are presented in books such as Dr. Carolyn Dean’s The Magnesium Miracle or Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay. These mentioned books are a drop in the ocean of affordable knowledge. We need to pick a book and look for exciting or vital information for us. For example, I had a slight tension before sleep. After reading about the importance of magnesium and starting to use this essential mineral, I feel the difference. No worries or panic attacks. This particular book, The Magnesium Miracle written by a doctor with over forty years of experience in the medical field. I got the information for free. Sorry, it’s a few dollars, but not hundreds.

Mines of gold

Mines of gold

Books open the whole world to us. Books are gold mines. We learn from people who lived a hundred years ago and passed their wisdom to future generations. Books are reservoirs of facts,  knowledge, imagination, inspiration, and experience. Books are the concentrated sources of information.

We can not carry with us all the knowledge and facts of the world. We pick a book, look for information, and use it for everything when we need it.

Books, scientific magazines, and various websites with credible sources of bona fide information give access to the exciting and friendly world.

Facts and reviews are genuine things

Of course, there will always be people who think they know better than professionals. They will make their own decisions. However, being informed, checking facts,  and continually renewing knowledge about progress in science and the world would help us expand our view.

How about you? Where do you get your information? Do you have your sources, or do you follow your intuition? It would be great to hear from you. Do you prefer facts and reviews over statements from celebrities?

Update

It is interesting how this blog resonates with us nowadays when officials try to persuade us that everything that they do is good for us. Is it?
