Hello, Michael. Unfortunately everybody of us has in our intestine something what does not belong here. Sedentary life style, processed and overcooked food, sweets and soda consumption makes our bowels lazy. Pockets are in some of the bowels. They stuck with food which does not move freely because the movement of bowls is sluggish.
The Bible describes the importance of fasting. Before Christmas and Easter people fasted longer, not just half of day.

My fasting consists of juice and Spirulina. The longest fasting was 4 days. I eat just blended apples. After it, I felt so light. I was safe with fasting because I knew from doctor that I can do it.

Hi, James. Of course, it is better to talk with your doctor. Everybody can fast just it depends on how you tolerate breaks without food. It is an ancient tradition. People before Easter use fasting. I can not fast without any food. I can use Spirulina for fasting. It does not have so many calories. I need to drink water. For me, the best intermittent fasting is when I start to eat before noon. I f I count hours without having food it would be 16-17.You need to analyze how you feel. Never force yourself if something is painful for you or you feel what something is wrong.

I am currently on a regular 16-8 cycle of fasting. I am curious whether taking 3 to 6 grams of organic pressed tablet spirulina will break my fast during my 16 hours? Blood sugar management is important and I was thinking that by taking 3-6 grams of spirulina every 4 hours during the fasting period I would get valuable nutrients and help even out blood sugar
