Can Seniors Take Spirulina?

February 28, 2023 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Can seniors take Spirulina?

Spirulina is a wholesome food that gives benefits for everybody who is willing to consume this green miracle.

Do I exaggerate it? No. I learned about Spirulina from Christopher Hills, who grew, produced, and promoted Spirulina a few decades ago.

Nowaday, people forgot that we have great source of food that is nutraceutical and does not have any side effects , especially if we take organic Spirulina.

I read in a few media outlets that bugs can change food, especially meat. Bugs are bugs; they are for birds. People can become sick from things that they never ate before.

Spirulina is the opposite thing. People ate it thousands of years ago. People in Africa consume Spirulina nowadays too.

Spirulina is an entirely nutritious food for people with a slow metabolism who lack nutrients. Seniors, astronauts, geologists, and people who cannot get fresh and wholesome food will get nutrition from organic Spirulina. Seniors need proteins as building blocks. Spirulina will provide it.

Spirulina for seniors

Seniors do not get enough nutrients, especially those who live in cities. Some the people do not live close to supermarkets where they can buy vegetables and fruits.

Spirulina can solve all these problems associated with the lack of nutrients.

Great example about benefits of Spirulina to seniors is Christopher Hill’s friend Toru Matsui, who lived on Spirulina and Chlorella for 15 years.

Prof.Hiroshi Nakamura and Toru Matsui, an 85 year-old philosopher who has lived on Chlorella and Spirulina for 15 years. Spirulina contains enough vitamin C for living; all other vitamins in Spirulina are in excess of human needs. They are eating algae and getting younger.

You do not need to eat only algae. There is more food to taste. However, Spirulina provides abundant nutrients that can fill the gap when people lack vitamins, essential acids, or proteins.

Benefits of Spirulina

Spirulina is balanced nutraceutical food that contains antioxidants, essential amino acids, trace minerals, chlorophyll, and enzymes.

Spirulina helps people who cannot properly digest food, have various metabolism problems, after long illnesses, usage of antibiotics, and so on.

People who have chronic diseases such as cancer can benefit from Spirulina. People digest algae easily. Spirulina does not have many calories. It helps when people want to lose weight but can only be with food.

Some people prefer Chlorella, but Spirulina has a pleasant taste and is digested faster because of absorption. The wall in Spirulina is tiny, while Chlorella has a thick wall.

Wrapping up

Seniors can use Spirulina at any time without any side effects. Organic Spirulina brands are recommended. Older people have a slower metabolism. They cannot fast absorb needed materials from food.

Here Spirulina helps because high nutritional value. Being a nutraceutical food, Spirulina can improve the well-being of many seniors.

Spirulina is not recommended for people who have problems with their kidneys or have acute issues with the digestive system.

Do you use Spirulina or know somebody who benefits from this algae?
