Spirulina Benefits Women

March 23, 2018 By Nemira 4 Comments

Spirulina is a nutraceutical food. Spirulina benefits women by providing vital nutrients. Besides it, Spirulina can help stay in shape. Dr. Christopher Hills pointed out that Spirulina can aid in disaster cases as wholesome food. He mentioned a Japanese scientist who lived on Spirulina for fifteen years. It means that Spirulina has everything inside for our proper functioning.

We do not need to be extreme. However, the Spirulina can help deal with malnutrition and the lack of minerals, vitamins, and proteins. Women are busy having plenty of tasks on their plates. Besides it, stress prompts the depletion of minerals, especially magnesium. You can take ReMag and Spirulina. These supplements will provide balance and strength.

I like to take tablets. It melts in my mouth slowly. I guess that my body recognizes the benefits of Spirulina because the taste is so-so. However, I feel good about taking these tablets and do not experience any consequences.

What Is The Spirulina?

Spirulina is a blue-green alga known from the Aztec times. They consumed it constantly. People living close to Lake Chad in Africa still make little-hardened cakes from algae and sell them in markets.

I read that some scientists speculated that Spirulina was a savior for wandering Israelites. They called it manna. Spirulina likes hot and dry climates and can survive still having benefits.

In the modern world, Spirulina is used in various food types. This blue-green alga contains crackers, cereals, muffins, pasta, lty beer, frozen desserts, popcorn, juice smoothies, gnocchi, and specia.

Spirulina is famous as a dietary supplement having nutritional and health benefits. Scientists discovered that Spirulina has twenty times more proteins compared with soy. We need proteins for the body’s metabolism. If we do not get enough proteins, our body takes them from the muscles and skin.

 Proteins In Spirulina

Spirulina contains 65-71 percent of protein which is easily digestible and biologically complete.

There are eight essential amino acids in Spirulina:

Isoleucine. It helps with the growth and development of intelligence.

Lysine. It is a building block of blood antibodies. Lysine helps with the healthy growth of cells and strengthens the circulatory system.

Leucine. This amino acid helps with the stimulation of brain function and increases levels of muscular energy.

Threonine helps with digestive assimilation

Tryptophane helps with the utilization of B-vitamins and has a calming effect.

Valine aids in the coordination of muscles and stimulates the mental capacity.

Phenylalanine helps thyroid gland produce thyroxin which stimulates metabolism.

This amino, as mentioned above acids is essential. Our bodies can not synthesize them. Spirulina contains non-essential amino acids, too which can be created in our body if needed.

These amino acids are alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, proline, serine, and tyrosine.

 Minerals In Spirulina

Spirulina is rich in trace minerals. Blue-green algae grow in waters saturated with minerals from soils and mountains. These alkaline waters do not allow any bacteria be around. Minerals from alkalized waters are absorbed by Spirulina and transformed into organic forms.

Flamingo benefits from Spirulina

In this way, minerals become chelated with amino acids. It helps the body efficiently absorb nutrients from Spirulina. No wonder why flamingo looks so good continually consuming algae from lakes.

Flamingos are skinny, with bright colors, and active. Do we are less smarter as these gorgeous birds? I do not think so.

Let’s check minerals in the Spirulina. These essential minerals and trace elements are vital for the body’s metabolism. Chelated forms of minerals efficiently absorb into the body.

These minerals are:

  • Potassium
  • Phosphorus
  • Magnesium
  • Selenium
  • Calcium
  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Manganese

Minerals vital for women are magnesium, iron, and potassium. Other elements are essential to just the first three play an essential role for women.

Iron participates in the formation of hemoglobin. You know that hemoglobin is in red cells which carry oxygen to tissues, organs, and cells, don’t you? Iron deficiency is usual among women in their reproductive years.

Magnesium deficiency causes over sixty-five conditions. Depression, migraine, heart problems, diabetes are common issues for women. You can read more about the importance of magnesium here.

Potassium is an essential mineral which takes part in balancing electrolytes. People lacking potassium are prone to adrenal exhaustion, muscular collapse, hypertension, and heart arrest. Not so much fun here.

Vitamins In Spirulina

Besides proteins and minerals, Spirulina contains vitamins which are essential for metabolic processes.

Spirulina Benefits Women

These vitamins are:

  • Inositol
  • Biotin
  • Cobalamin
  • Pantothenic acid
  • Pyridoxine
  • Folic acid
  • Niacin
  • Tocopherol
  • Riboflavin
  • Thiamine

All vitamins are interchangeable and have a significant impact on our health. For example, Cobalamin or B12 vitamin protects from nerve degeneration, pernicious anemia, and premature senility. Can you imagine how it helps efficiently to stay sane just taking vital nutrients?

Besides it, Spirulina is insanely rich in B12 or Cobalamin. Blue-green algae contain 250 percent more compared with beef liver. We cannot obtain enough and easily of this vitamin from vegetable sources.

Another nutrient Inositol helps detoxify carcinogens, particularly the excess of feminine hormones. Inositol helps the liver with choline manufacture lecithin. Studies show that inositol helps stop losing scalp hair.

Carotenoids in Spirulina

Carotenoids are substances which act as precursors to synthesize particular vitamins. Spirulina with other algae is a primary source of vitamin A precursors. The body produces vitamin A which sits in the preformed state in the liver. This vitamin is fat- soluble and cannot be easily removed from the body.

It is the reason why carotenoids found in vegetable food are converted to vitamin A when a body needs it. This trait protects us from the toxicity. Why? Vitamin A is associated with toxicity and overdose because it is fat soluble and cannot be easily removed from the body.

There Are  More Great Things In The Spirulina

Spirulina benefits women

Besides vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, Spirulina contains chlorophyll. Chlorophyll called green blood. One difference is between hemoglobin and chlorophyll is that human blood red cell contains iron and chlorophyll contains magnesium. I think that it is a double win-win situation.

When we consume Spirulina, we get iron and magnesium which is a vital mineral.

Besides chlorophyll, Spirulina contains only seven percent lipid. Most of the fatty acids are helpful because they prompt to keep cholesterol at normal levels.

 Conclusion

Spirulina is an excellent product for women because it contains all nutrients which help women stay in shape, keep the body in perfect condition. We get with Spirulina just 3.9 calories per gram when one gram of beef provides 65 calories. You will get full nutrition and a few calories taking Spirulina as the dietary supplement.

Spirulina is a simple solution to stay healthy, sane, and in shape.

Do you have any experience with Spirulina? I would be glad to hear from you. Please leave a comment below.

Are Best Antioxidant Supplements?

November 10, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Are Best Antioxidant Supplements

Are the best antioxidant supplements on the market? Yes, doctors recommend antioxidants as the prevention against free radicals avoiding sudden aging and deterioration of body systems. Some of the antioxidants come with diet.

Before talking about antioxidants, it would be good to start with oxidation.

What Is the Heck the Oxidation?

You know that atoms or molecules have electrons that spin in orbit around the nucleus. It is a natural process. Unfortunately, some agents such as oxygen or chlorine can strip an electron from the atom. These molecules or atoms become defective and useless. Cells die and vanish. It is the reason why aging occurs. It does not matter what it is: the human or metal.

You see how iron rusts. It does not take a long time to turn metal into corroded metal.

Oxidative stress happens when natural and artificial radiation affects cells. Free radicals begin to form when electrons are stripped from atoms. These free electrons search for prey because they cannot be unattached. They bombard new molecules taking the next particle. This process starts the chain reaction. Without defense systems such as antioxidants, the body would suffer intensely.

  Antioxidants: What Is It?

Nature has natural defense mechanisms against oxidation. Photosynthesis is one of the protective ways. However, it counts just for plants. How about humans?

We are lucky that we have these barriers:

  •  Physical barriers which contain free radicals in their places of production within cells
  •   Enzymes which neutralize reactive oxygen species(ROS)
  •   Substances from the diet such as vitamins C and E. These vitamins can donate electrons to free radicals, stopping them from harming cells.
  •  Repair mechanisms which help fix  damage from the oxidation  of DNA, proteins, and membranes
  •  Master control genes which are activated when the body is in need.

Antioxidants help the body to repair and detoxify after attacks of free radicals. The speed of metabolism plays a role in the number of free radicals and oxidative stress. When slow metabolism, the slow is the production of free radicals.

We can help ourselves take an appropriate diet full of antioxidants such as enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

 The Best Antioxidant Supplements

The market is full of claims that this or this supplement will make miracles. I prefer advice from scientists and doctors. Let’s check out what do they offer for us :

  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Beta-carotene
  • Green tea extracts
  • Curcumin
  • Pycnogenol
  • Indole-3-carbinol (I-3-C)
  • Juvenon
  • Co-Q-10 (coenzyme Q or ubiquinone)
  • Alpha-lipoic acid
  • Resveratrol

These antioxidants are supported by science and used to protect from free radicals and oxidative stress.

Okay, let’s start to check closer to these antioxidant supplements.

 Vitamin C

What does vitamin C?

  •  Strengthens blood vessels
  •  Helps heal wounds
  •  Increases resistance to invaders
  •  Helps maintain production of collagen
  • Aids for healthy gums

Vitamin C is famous and is praised as an effective antioxidant. Unfortunately, our bodies do not produce vitamin C. We must get it from the diet. However, how much vegetables and fruits can you consume during the day? Vitamin C supplements would solve this problem.

There is some of history about vitamin C. The scientist, who discovered vitamin C and got the Nobel prize, was Albert Szent Gyorgii. He finds out that ascorbic acid or vitamin C does not have the same active properties when it is stripped to the one formula. Proteins, enzymes, and minerals surround ascorbic acid in nature. Think about citrus fruit. You do not consume just ascorbic acid. You eat the whole fruit which is full of various nutrients. This composition gives us benefits.

Unfortunately, the discovery of Albert Szent was adopted by companies. They started to produce vitamin C synthetically. The difference between vitamin C from whole food and synthesized vitamin C is enormous.

Decide for yourself. Pharma companies use hydrogenated corn sugar, usually from GMO plants, affected with acetone. As I know, acetone is used for the removal of nail polish.

The company Grown By Nature produces vitamin C from organic citrus fruit concentrate.

Do you see a difference? Organic components are friendly to our bodies. Chemicals are chemicals, nothing more.

 Vitamin E

What does vitamin E?

  •  Protects red cells from oxidation
  •  Participates in the immune system
  •  Protects cell membranes from free radicals

Vitamin E does stop the attack on reactive oxygen species. Without protection, oxygen could go inside the cell through membrane or fat. You would ask what is about fat? Lipid molecules react with reactive lipid radicals to form stable products.

Interestingly, vitamin E has many forms. Vitamin E belongs to a group of compounds. They include both tocopherols and tocotrienols.

Dr. Andrew Weil recommends the dose of vitamin E to be 80 to 160 milligrams of the whole complex.

Vitamin E must consist of tocopherols and tocotrienols because it provides the benefits from Nature. In nature, you can find the complex of vitamin E. It includes eight molecules: alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta tocotrienols.

 Beta- Carotene

Beta-carotene is a precursor for vitamin A. However, it is not advisable to use it alone because it can work as a pro-oxidant and increase cancer risks for some people, such as smokers and ex-smokers.

Beta-carotene must be in the multivitamin of high quality together with alpha-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin, lycopene, and others.

 Green Tea Extracts

Green tea is known thousands of years ago. It originated in China but now green tea spread in the whole world. Asia produces green tea too.

Are Best Antioxidants Supplements?

Green tea contains phytochemicals. They consist of polyphenols and caffeine.

Polyphenols contain:

  • Epigallocatechin gallate ( EGCG)
  • Epicatechin gallate
  • Epicatechins
  • Flavanols

These constituents act as antioxidants, anticarcinogens, anti-inflammatory, and anti-radiation agents.

Green tea contains flavonoids. They are:

  • Kaempferol
  • Quercetin
  • Myricetin

Active ingredients in green tea act as antioxidants.

 Curcumin

Curcumin is the main constituent of turmeric in the ginger family. It is widely used in Asia kitchen but now starting with Timothy Ferris morning habits continents enjoy benefits of turmeric tea and turmeric supplements.

Turmeric has a beneficial effect on Alzheimer’s. Individuals who live in rural India have one of the lowest rates of this disease globally.

When looking for turmeric supplements, pick organic because fresh products without chemicals work best.

 Pycnogenol

Pycnogenol is the product of the bark of the pine tree. It is a French maritime pine bark extract. Pycnogenol is a combination of natural and robust antioxidants.

Pycnogenol contains active bioflavonoids. According to manufacturers, Pycnogenol fights free radicals, which are a reason for deterioration and aging.

Bioflavonoids help the immune system stay strong.

 Indole-3-carbinol

Indole-3- carbinol or I-3-C  is found in cabbage family vegetables. I-3-C is a phytonutrient. This antioxidant can help reduce breast cancer risk. It happens by influencing estrogen metabolism.

Cabbages, kale, or Brussels sprouts are tasty. However, it is better to take supplements. We can not eat so many vegetables and get the required amount of I-3-C to prevent cancer.

Supplements from health stores can help solve it. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends I-3-C for women to use as a dietary supplement.

  Juvenon

Juvenon is a product created by Bruce Ames, a professor of biochemistry and microbiology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is an expert on the causes and prevention of cancer.

Bruce Ames discovered that rats fed with dietary supplements such as alpha-lipoic acid(ALA) and acetyl-L-carnitine (ALCAR) become energetic, and their brain functioned better. Rats looked like young animals.

You would think that the fountain of youth was discovered? Who knows, but Bruce Ames established his company, and the product is called Juvenon.

The secret is in the enzymes which help mitochondria produce energy. Besides it, it decreases insulin resistance and helps to deal with complications of diabetes, such as peripheral neuropathy.

 Co-Q-10

The body produces coenzyme Q. It acts as an antioxidant and can increase oxygen usage at the cellular level.

Coenzyme Q increases the function of heart muscle cells.

Dr. Andrew Weil recommends it for cancer, diabetes, and gum disease patients. Sixty milligrams per day of the newest coenzyme Q is the recommended dose from Dr. Andrew Weil.

Caution: when you look for the supplement, you need to see how much active ingredient is in it. Bioavailability is essential because when the active ingredient is absorbed by 99 percent, we get most of the benefits.

I would compare it with juice. Would you like to have a glass of 100 percent orange juice or diluted with water and full of artificial sugar?

  Alpha-lipoic Acid

Alpha-lipoic acid has few benefits. It helps:

  •  Decrease insulin resistance
  •  Increase the body’s antioxidant defenses

Individuals can benefit from alpha-lipoic acid if they complain about metabolic syndromes such as HDL cholesterol, the tendency to get fat around the abdomen area, or high blood pressure.

ALA is a dietary supplement. Starting from 100 milligrams a day and taking up to 400 milligrams a day is recommended dose by Dr. Andrew Weil.

 Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant found in the skin of grapes. Researchers found out that grapes produced more resveratrol when they grow under stressful conditions. Cold, rain, lack of nutrients, attacks of fungi create an unpleasant environment for grapes. Luckily, grapes survive and have significant amounts of resveratrol in their skins.

Researchers discovered a gene called daf-2. This gene seems to be a master regulator of many other genes which deal with metabolism and defense.

Later on, the gene called sir-2, which mediates the response to restrictions of calories, was discovered.  When living beings eat less, they live longer and have increased body defense. Scientists looked for a substance that could activate gene sir-2 without starvation. This material is resveratrol, the component from grape skins in the red wine. Resveratrol was responsible for the health benefits of red wine.

 My recommended antioxidants:

  • Vitamin E: www.grownbynature.com
  • Beta-carotene: from Solaray
  • Green tea extracts: from True Veda
  • Curcumin: from True Veda

  • Indole-3-carbinol: by Thorne Research
  • Juvenon: by Juvenon
  • Coenzyme Q: by www.grownbynature.com
  • Alpha-lipoic -acid: by Now
  • Resveratrol: by Now

   Conclusion

Antioxidants play a role in our well-being. Being healthy is not a privilege; it is a necessity. We must be robust to enjoy life, help others, and create a better environment for ourselves and our children.

Antioxidants do not harm. They protect us from toxins, pollution, stress, and invaders such as bacteria. The immune system does not mind if we help her deal with the burden of civilization, such as radiation, inadequate nutrition, and stress.

Taking antioxidants for our wellbeing will provide the body with nutrients vital for the metabolism, defense, and immune systems.

Why Are Organic Products The Best Choice?

November 4, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Why are organic products the best choice? Organic products have more nutrients than products containing chemicals, preservatives, antibiotics, and heavy metals.

You would scratch your head and would tell that your grandparents lived till 90 or 100. They did pretty well because they were agile, skinny, and busy until the end.

It is a different deal. Why? Generations before us lived in a cleaner environment, ate nutritious food. Farmers grew production without many chemicals as nowadays. Chemicals penetrate soil from spraying it using airplanes and machines. Nobody walks with a bucket of the horse manure to help strawberries grow delicious berries.

I was shocked when I saw that strawberries are cut with the knife. These berries do not melt in the mouth when they come from farms. Did you pay attention that you must wash fruits before using?

It is the same as on cigarettes package: general surgeon warns about the danger of smoking. It is the same with production, which is infested with antibiotics and various chemicals.

 Artificial Ingredients in Food

You see that soda drinks, candies, or cakes are colorful. Do you think that these dyes are natural? Nope. For example, there are aniline dyes.

  • Amaranth (red)
  • Bordeaux(brown)
  • Orange I (yellow)
  • Guinea Green (dark green)
  • Naphthol (yellow)
  • Tartrazine (yellow)

These artificial colors derived from compounding various chemicals. For example, guinea green becomes a dye when chloroform reacts with benzene and aluminum chloride.

What is it, benzene? Benzene is from the distillation of coal. Motor fuel, the solvent for resins, rubber contains benzene. Are you the machine?

Chloroform puts people to sleep. Unfortunately, it triggers gastroenteritis.

Aluminum chloride is produced from heating aluminum with chlorine. Oil refineries used it for cracking oils. The usage of aluminum is dangerous because it correlates with Alzheimer’s disease, loss of energy, skin problems, constipation, and nausea.

I wonder who needs aluminum in their food? Unfortunately, you will not find answers on the packaged food and drinks. It tastes good, smells nice.

  Artificial Flavors

There are some of the artificial flavors.

  •  Caramel
  •  Citric Acid
  •  Cochineal
  •  Coca
  •  Cola
  •  Corn Starch
  •  Corn Syrup
  •  Dextrose
  •  Glucose
  •  Potassium Chloride
  •  Potassium Phosphate
  •  Sodium Citrate
  •  Saccharin
  •  Sodium Phosphate
  •  Salt
  •  Sugar

What do you think where these substances in products go? They spread in your body, making the impact on you. Do you need these chemicals? Do they protect you? One good reason that I see that we can be better preserved after end and stay like mummies from Egypt forever and ever.

Why  Are Chemicals Not The Best Choice?

First, chemicals are unnatural to a body. We do not need heavy metals, preservatives, and antibiotics. A great show was on the Public Radio  Fresh Air show when  Maryn McKenna, the author of the book             Big Chicken: The Improbable Story How  Antibiotics Created Modern Farming,  presented her findings of the usage of antibiotics in the poultry industry.

Plenty of dangers are lurking in the chicken meat. One of them is the resistance to antibiotics. You heard about the struggle in hospitals when medical personnel fight with bacteria. Unfortunately, stronger brands of harmful bacteria come out and show us who is here a host.

Plenty of people go to heaven because these bacteria force them to give up. Antibiotics do not help survive.

You would ask why? I can understand you because antibiotics suppose to fight harmful bacteria and virus, kick them out from invaded territories. Sorry, it is not a case. Antibiotics do harm everything because they kill good bacteria in the intestine. Consequences are not pleasant. The body becomes resistant to antibiotics too.

The microbiome is the second brain, according to scientists. I agree with them because when I feast on chocolate, I crave more and cannot think clearly. That is too much, is too much.

Chocolate is not antibiotics but the sugary thing which spoils terrible bacteria and gives lousy life for the friendly community of bacteria.

Can you see where do I go with my rant about chocolate and chemicals? I want to show you that organic food cannot harm you as conventional food does.

  Take Care of Organic Food

Usually, organic food is clean of additives, preservatives, fillers. It is non-GMO. It means that animals and plants give you food in the same form as Nature created them.

There exist some dangers, such as preparation and handling of material. However, the primary source of organic food is good because it is free of chemicals.

Ways to Contaminate Organic Food

You would ask, what do I mean about handling and preparation of organic food?

For example, you bought from the farmers market fresh vegetables. You wash them with water from the tap. Most of the city water is contaminated with fluoride, antibiotics, heavy metals, and so on. You see that traces of chemicals will be on your plate. Sometimes people use a cutting board which was used for raw meat.

It is the same with meat. Wrong temperature, tools used to cut fish or cheese, later applied for chicken or visa versus, can trigger contamination.

Luckily we can learn how to handle food. However, we can not influence that is inside packaged food. It is one way how to escape this misery. It is a way to be informed and conscious of various choices.

 Benefits of Organic Food

  • Organic food has more minerals, vitamins, enzymes compared with processed food.
  • Organic food is free of chemicals, preservatives, and fillers.
  • Organic food replenishes, balances and fulfill the body with vital nutrients
  • Organic food does not harm
  • Organic food gives energy
  • Organic food helps stay fit without gaining weight

   Conclusion

Organic food is the best choice to prevent disorders. Consuming food free of chemicals gives the body support and building materials for metabolism. The immune system can better protect us from various invaders. We do not have chemicals inside.

Organic food is the best choice for those who won’t feel well and lead meaningful lives.

What do you think about? I would be glad to answer your questions and hear your thoughts about organic food. Do you have something more on your mind? Spill out. It will leave space for other ideas.

 Importance of EMPowerplus Advanced Compounds

 Vitamin A

Vitamin A promotes healing and growing of cells. Vitamin A prevents many illnesses and diseases. Taking vitamin A, mental health improves.

VitaminB1 (Thiamine)

Vitamin B1  participates in the production of acetylcholine, which is the neurotransmitter. The acetylcholine plays the role at the synaptic junctions of neurons.

Thiamine helps alcohol-dependent people with improving memory. Individuals who lack thiamine are prone to consume junk food, be anxious.

Vitamin B2(Riboflavin)

Vitamin B2 is the precursor for coenzymes which are part of body energy production. Vitamin B2 helps with cell respiration and oxygenation.

Individuals deficient in riboflavin are prone to be dizzy, tired. Retarded growth in children and nerve damage can occur when vitamin 2 is insufficient in the body.

People become forgetful, unable to concentrate, and can be mildly confused.

Some researchers state that the lack of vitamin B2 can be associated with fibromyalgia.

Vitamin B3(Niacin)

Niacin is the precursor to the coenzymes which participate in brain metabolism and function.

Niacin plays a role in the production of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and other corticosteroids. It is nice that niacin prevents breakage of DNA strands.

The lack of vitamin B3 can cause emotional lability and irritability. Individuals with ADHD feel improvements when niacin is sufficient.

 Vitamin B5( Pantothenic Acid)

The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

Vitamin B5 plays a vital role in fatty acid synthesis and degradation. Pantothenic acid is crucial to synthesize Coenzyme A (CO-A). This coenzyme A supports adrenal function. Adrenal glands produce cortisone and norepinephrine. It is known as vitamin against stress and helps to combat fatigue.

The study shows that people who did not have pantothenic acid in their diet, become irritated, hot-tempered, and upset. Male volunteers got low blood pressure, dizziness, muscle weakness, sleepiness, constipation, extreme fatigue, and upper respiratory problems.

Vitamin B6(Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B6 plays an essential role in amino acid metabolism in the central nervous system. Pyridoxine active form is the coenzyme Pyridoxal-5phosphate. It participates in some 100 enzymes actions in amino acids, glucose, and lipid metabolism.

The coenzyme is responsible for the production of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA participates in the turning of the tryptophan ( amino acid) to niacin. If coenzyme missed, the failure happens because of serotonin produced in excess.

Pyridoxine participates in the synthesis of dopamine and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters control human mood and emotion.

When humans do not get enough vitamin B6, they become irritable, anxious, and depressed.

The double-blind, autistic study showed improvement for children who got magnesium and vitamin B6.

Vitamin B12( Cyanocobalamin)

Vitamin B12 contains the mineral cobalt. This vitamin is essential for the maintenance of the central nervous system.

Deficiency of Cyanocobalamin, triggers feeding difficulties, hypotonia,  seizure, microcephaly, and developmental delay.

Confusion, depression, mental laziness, and the lack of memory relate to vitamin B12deficiency.

 Vitamin C

Cellular health depends on vitamin C. Americans lack vitamin C. Only 35 percent of the population in the USA use vitamin C.

Vitamin C deficiency can trigger mental disorders. Nervousness related to lack of vitamin C.

 Vitamin D( Cholecalciferol)

Vitamin D participates in the uptake and absorption of phosphorus and calcium. These two minerals are vital to proper CNS function.

 Vitamin E(Tocopherol)

Vitamin E is anti-oxidant. Vitamin E protects DNA, cell membranes, and enzymes from free radical damage. Patients with tardive dyskinesia got positive results using vitamin E.

 Vitamin B9(Folic Acid)

Vitamin B9 acts as the coenzyme, THFA( tetrahydrofolic acid). The breakdown and usage of proteins depend on folic acid. Folic acid prevents chromosome breakage and hypomethylation of DNA.

The deficiency of vitamin B9 triggers cognitive impairment, chronic fatigue.

Folic acid helps with Parkinson’s and Bipolar disorders.

 Vitamin H(Biotin)

Biotin participates in metabolizing fats, synthesis of fatty acids, RNA and DNA.

Biotin may help improve blood glucose control in people with diabetes. Vitamin H enhances insulin sensitivity and increases the activity of enzymes participating in glucose metabolism.

Diabetic neuropathy may be treated with biotin in high doses.

 Phosphorus

Phosphorus is a part of the ATP( adenosine triphosphate). ATP is a carrier of energy in the body. Phosphorus has a relationship with calcium because they tied together in the bone structure.

Calcium and phosphorus play together, helping each other in body functions. Phosphate helps absorb dietary constituents, maintain the blood at the alkaline level, regulate enzyme activity.

The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

Phosphorus participates in the transmission of nerve impulses.

Magnesium

Magnesium participates in 700-800 enzyme reactions. These reactions involve:

  • ATP requires magnesium
  • Manufacturing DNA
  • Protein synthesis
  • Fatty acid synthesis
  • Nerve impulse transmission
  • Maintenance of the membrane’s electric potential
  • Transportation of potassium, sodium, and calcium across membranes

You can read about the role of magnesium here.

Copper

Copper found in brain and liver.

Copper is vital to the formation of many genes.

SOD1 gene(Superoxide  Dismutase) protects human cells from oxidation and free radical damage. SOD  based on Copper-Zinc composition.

Copper participates in the synthesis of cell membrane phospholipids, helps maintain the insulation, called myelin. Myelin surrounds nerve cells.

Copper aids regulate neurotransmitter levels.

Cooper deficiency can affect the nervous system. Poor concentration, numbness, and tingling can occur.

Iodine

The significant concentration of iodine resides in the thyroid gland. The rest of iodine is in thyroid hormones in the ovaries, blood, and muscles.

Iodine is part of thyroid gland hormones. These hormones triiodothyronine and thyroxine affect the metabolic rate in the body.

Thyroid hormones are involved in body development, brain growth, nerves, bones, and skin.

The thyroid participates in protein synthesis, conversion of carotene to vitamin A, and carbohydrate absorption.

Hormone thyroxine regulates body weight.

When iodine levels low, the human endocrine system suffers. Symptoms such as apathy, drowsiness, fatigue, sensitivity to the cold, muscle weakness, the increase in weight, coarse skin, and lethargy occur.

Potassium

Potassium functions:

  • Protein synthesis
  • Blood sugar conversion to glycogen
  • Stimulation of  intestinal tract movement
  • Activation of enzymes

Deficiency of potassium shows muscle spasms, heart arrhythmia, muscle weakness, and tetany.

Molybdenum

Molybdenum is a trace mineral. Molybdenum found in enzymes, xanthine oxidase, sulfite oxidase, and aldehyde oxidase. These enzymes participate in the production of uric acid, a waste product of protein metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, iron utilization, and sulfite detoxification.

  Zinc

Zinc participates in over as 600 enzyme actions in the body.

Zinc essential to our bodies because

  • Human genes stabilization and the synthesis depend on zinc
  • Cell division
  • Synthesis and degradation of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins require zinc
  • Growth and repair of tissue depend on zinc
  • Thyroid hormones need zinc for the proper function

These organs and systems require zinc for successful functioning:

  • Calcium uptake in the bones
  • Modulation of growth hormones effects
  • Production of brain neurotransmitters
  •  The release of vitamin A from liver
  • Production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach
  • Conversion of fatty acids to prostaglandins
  • Muscle contraction
  • Acid-alkali balance maintenance
The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

The zinc deficiency shows in these ways:

  •  Eczema on the face and hands
  • Hair loss
  • Mental apathy
  • Defects in the productive organs
  •  Delayed sexual maturation
  •  Menstrual irregularities
  •  Low growth rate
  •  Impaired mental development
  •  Postnatal depression
  •  The loss of smell and taste
  •  Anemia
  •  Poor appetite
  •  Impaired conduction and nerve damage
  •  White spots on the nails
  •  Psychiatric disorders
  •  Easiness to catch infections
  •  Long wound healing
  •  Impotence in men
  •  Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa

As you see there, there is no fun when our body lacks some of the micronutrients. Did you think that is going on when we require it, and we do not have many of them in our bodies?

 Chromium

Chromium is an essential trace element.

Chromium is vital for blood sugar metabolism. ( I saw supplements with chromium stating that cravings for sugar will disappear.)

Chromium partners with insulin moving glucose into cells where the energy is generated.

The deficiency of chromium leads to

  •  High blood fat and cholesterol levels

Diabete-like symptoms of glucose intolerance such as

  •  DepressionThe Best Multivitamin for Mental Health
  • Confusion
  • Weakness
  •  Weight loss
  •  Thirst
  •  Hunger
  •  Frequent urination

 Iron

Iron participates in the transportation of oxygen in the blood. The hemoglobin molecule contains iron in red blood cells.

 The Importance of Iron

  • Enzymes require iron for correctly performing metabolic functions
  • Thyroid hormones use the iron for the production
  • DNA synthesis, cell growth, cell division asks for iron
  • Protein metabolism uses iron
  • The energy production in cells requires iron

Iron deficiency shows up as

  •  Conduct problems in adults and children
  •  Anemia
  •  Fatigue
  •  Breathlessness
  •  Lack of concentration
  •  Eye inflammation
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Mouth ulcers and hair loss
  • Itching, especially for elders
  • Giddiness
  • Restless sleep
  • Huge menstrual pain and bleeding

 Manganese

Manganese is vital for the proper CNS function. Enzyme systems require magnesium such as in energy production, glucose metabolism, the stimulation of glycogen storage in the liver, protein digestion, cholesterol, and fatty acids synthesis.

Manganese participates in the growth and development of the CNS. Functions such as blood clotting, female sex hormone, thyroid hormone ask for manganese too.

Superoxide dismutase, the antioxidant enzyme contains manganese. Studies show that it can protect brain cells from the damage after stroke and Alzheimer’s disease.

Manganese may protect against liver damage. Manganese supplements help treat schizophrenia, mania, and other psychoses.

 Selenium

Selenium is a trace mineral. Selenium is involved in

  • Thyroid hormones
  •  CNS mood control
  •  Liver function maintenance
  •  Protection from heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury
  •  Reduction of anxiety

 Nickel

Nickel found in body tissues.

Nickel deficiency shows as

  • Decreased growth
  • Dermatitis
  •  Liver damage
  • Cell mutation
  •  Reproductive abnormalities
  •  Kidney problems

 Vanadium

Vanadium stored in bone and fat cells.

Vanadium may act as the cofactor for enzymes. These enzymes involved in

  •  Blood sugar metabolism
  •  Lipid and cholesterol metabolism
  •  Fertility
  •  Thyroid function
  •  Hormone production
  •  Neurotransmitter metabolism

Boron

Boron is found all over the whole body. The most significant concentration is in the bone.

Boron is important for

  • Healthy bone and joint functionThe Best Multivitamin for Mental Health
  • The way how signals transmitted across cell membranes
  • Nerve signal transmission
  • Vitamin D conversion to the active form
  • Mental alertness

 Germanium

GE-132 is Sesquioxide. It is an organic form of germanium. Interestingly, it is an active ingredient in garlic, aloe vera, and comfrey. ( I used comfrey and got terrific results.)

Germanium increases the body’s defense mechanisms. Germanium works as

  •  Body detoxifier
  •  Adaptogen
  • Oxygen catalyst
  •  Electric impulse stimulator

Germanium may be the stimulator for gamma-interferon production. Patients with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) felt substantial symptom relief.

 Methionine

Methionine is a sulfur amino acid. It performs as a lipotrophic factor preventing fat buildup in the liver and the body. Great stuff, isn’t it?

 Phenylalanine

Phenylalanine is the precursor for the amino acid tyrosine. The neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine are precursored by the amino acid tyrosine. The activity of neurotransmitters without tyrosine would be sluggish.

 Bioflavenoids

Flavonoids discovered by Albert Szent-Gyorgi, the Nobel Prize winner. He named them vitamin P. He found that bioflavenoids enhance the function of vitamin C. It helps protect cells from oxidation.

 Grape Seed Extract

Grape seed extract provides prevention and improvement of circulation, reduction of edema.

 Inositol

Inositol is vitamin B. It has connections with choline. Inositol, combined with choline, provides a source of brain cell nutrition.

Benefits of Inositol

  • Treatment for agoraphobia and panic attacks
  • Participate in the insulation of nerve fibers
  • Useful in panic disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder

 Gingko Biloba

Gingko Biloba is a herb. It is sufficient for Dementia and ADHD, ear problems.

Treating Osteoporosis Without Drugs

October 9, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Treating osteoporosis without drugs is a real thing. Osteoporosis is a scary condition. However, there are ways to handle osteoporosis without chemicals.

  What Is Osteoporosis?

What will cheer you up, that bones created to last all lifetime? It is excellent, is not? You would ask why so many cases with osteoporosis?

Why so many people afraid that when they are older, their bones will break up. How much truth is in it?

Treating Osteoporosis Without Drugs

Osteoporosis is a condition when bones start to weaken. The risk to broke bones increases with age, especially when people do not take preventative measures.

 How Can Osteoporosis Develop?

The balance of calcium and magnesium is essential to keep bones in good shape. Usually, individuals take more calcium compared with magnesium. Without sufficient magnesium, the calcium would make bones brittle and without elasticity. Bones without magnesium are prone to break down.

Besides, it, the body needs about seventeen nutrients to keep bones healthy. Magnesium is the most important one.

Doctors warn that if magnesium is deficient, the calcium can travel to soft tissues, depositing in joints and kidneys. Do you see how it easy to get arthritis and kidney stones? A simple recipe for problems: minimum of magnesium and maximum of calcium.

   How Does Magnesium Prevent Osteoporosis?

Magnesium plays many roles in the body’s metabolism. The magnesium safeguarding calcium from overloading cells is one vital task for magnesium. Without magnesium, calcium overrides cells, excites them, and causes death without magnesium, calcium deposits in soft tissues. The calcification occurs.

There are more good deeds from magnesium regarding osteoporosis prevention:

  • Magnesium stimulates hormone calcitonin. This particular hormone draws calcium from soft tissues back to bones. Calcitonin prevents kidney stones and some types of arthritis. Hormone calcitonin preserves the structure of bone.
  • Magnesium suppresses parathyroid hormone. This hormone likes to break down bones. Magnesium does not let it harm bones crushing it.
  • Magnesium turns vitamin D into the active form. In this way, active vitamin D can help absorb calcium.
  • Magnesium is co-factor in the activation of the enzyme, which helps form a new bone.
  • Magnesium, together with vitamin K2 helps direct calcium to the bones.
  • Magnesium participates in calcium transportation.

Do you see how everything connected in the body? Minerals and vitamins are vital parts of the body’s mechanism. It is more complicated, but you can get a picture that when one mineral is missing, many reactions and systems suffer.

  What   Does Affect Bone Health?

According to Dr. Caroly Dean, the author of The Magnesium Miracle, the low amounts of

magnesium, boron, folic acid, and vitamins B6, B12, K2, D prompt osteoporosis.

The overdosing of protein, table salt, alcohol, and caffeine makes a negative impact on bone health.

The sedentary lifestyle and Western diets such as processed food and soda drinks create a perfect environment for the development of osteoporosis.

 How  To Keep Bones Well?

The magnesium helps to keep bones in good shape, helping calcium to stay where it belongs: in bones.

The study in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry shows, that.

magnesium deficiency occurs frequently and leads to loss of bone mass, abnormal bone growth, and skeletal weakness.

Researchers found out that magnesium inhibits the activity of osteoclasts. Another study showed that  65 percent of women who got magnesium lactate daily for two years, was free of pain and did not have further degeneration of spinal vertebrae.

Sixty percent of bone consists of minerals, mostly of calcium and phosphate, along with magnesium, water, collagen, and an organic matrix of protein.

Bones are unity of various ingredients which depend on each other.

The rich diet with minerals, vitamins, fatty amino acids, and proteins, exercise, absorbable nutrients will keep our bones in shape.

 Conclusion

Treating osteoporosis without drugs is not a high- end science. Providing for the body nutrients and exercising will help to stay you in an excellent physical and mental shape.

No To Worthless Food

June 23, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Healthy food gives us vital nutrients. We must say no to cheap food. Why? Without the proper nutrients, our bodies can not function properly.

How Can We Tell No to Worthless Food?

Most of us buy food in chain stories. Sellers are interested in profits. They want a prolonged shelf life for food items. How can they achieve that? Food must be processed and preserved with chemicals. Various packages such as cans or plastics prolong food life on the shelf. It is suitable for the seller and manufacturer. How about us?

With preservatives, we get plenty of unfriendly substances which do not belong to the body. The body can not digest or absorb it.

We have ways to change our habits and consume food free from chemicals. How can we know what is right for us?

  • Read labels. Please put them aside if you see words that you can not pronounce or remember. It is dry food.
  • Support local farmers. You can share with your neighbors the ride to the farmer’s market. No to Worthless Food
  • Use fresh food without mold or white sugar.
  • Try to prepare food for one day. Do not heat it again because all nutrients lose value after heat.

Eat your Ancestor’s Food

I can bet that your grandparents did not use sodas, sugar, and white flour. These items are harmful and full of empty calories. Your genes remember what your ancestors ate. You do not need to follow traditional diets blindly. You can take the best recipes which are tasty to you and your family.

Our grandmothers encouraged us to eat vegetables. They knew that fresh food brings all vitamins, enzymes, proteins, and fats in an easily digestible form. Plants have plenty of fibers that help remove waste from our bodies. We do not move so much as our ancestors did. The fast food and lack of fresh fruits and vegetables bring problems to our lives. We must say no to cheap food because our well-being depends on it.

Nobody likes to talk about constipation. It is nothing to brag about. It is not a new iPhone or the last model of video games. However, the toxication can occur when food stays in the intestine and can not move out.

Prepare Food at Home

No to Worthless Food

It is not complicated to prepare fermented foods, chop salad, steam fish, or cook a big pot of broth. We can make home bread that is from natural and nutritious grains.

What is most important is what we need to think about preventing chronic diseases. We can accomplish this task by leading the proper lifestyle and having nutritious food. Food supplements such as pico-ionic minerals help us to replenish missing nutrients.

Nuts, seeds, beans, vegetables, fruits, fermented products, and fish are full of vital nutrients. Well-being is essential for us because we can take care of ourselves, our family, and our community when we are okay. Nobody will tell you what kind of food you must eat. Producers are interested in their profit. We will not die from processed food, but we will lose vitality. It is better to say no to cheap food and consume nutritious full of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins, and a fast diet.

How to Lose Weight

November 11, 2016 By Nemira 4 Comments

Losing weight is easy if we follow some rules. How to lose weight? There are many promises about doing it, but who has the best answers? If we look back a  few decades ago, we did not have this problem as we have it now.

How to Lose Weight?

People are not active anymore. If we look at individuals who work physically, we will not find anybody who is obese. Humankind accomplished so much, but it has forgotten that we are part of Nature. Why?

You do not see obese rabbits or bears, horses or dogs which have abilities to run free. All living beings who have restrictions to move become fat. There are consequences, such as problems with health, sexuality,  and self-esteem.

How to Lose Weight?

What are About Calories?

Calories are these days traditional to count. It isn’t enjoyable. The food does not give pleasure when we need to check all calories and feel guilty if we overate before bed. Who does not like ice cream or chocolate? Of course, some individuals are okay without sweets. However, we must pay attention to what we eat.

 The Quality of Food

Our ancestors did not have many chances to enjoy processed food. They eat homemade dishes such as soup and meat or fish with vegetables. Sometimes for dessert, fruits were from the garden.

 The Nutrition of Food

Most of us know about depleted soil, hormones,  antibiotics, and chemicals. These things trigger various problems in our bodies.

Antibiotics harm good bacteria in our digestive system. Hormones interfere with human bodies and can act as carcinogens. No fun, yes? Depleted soil cannot grow vegetables and grains full of nutrients. Nutrients such as minerals and vitamins are vital to us. They participate in the metabolism and help function of organs.

The  Amount of Food

I think that everybody who lives in modern life and has a job consumes more food as they need. The stress and lack of time create an environment where we get pleasure and relaxation from food.

Plenty of people eat late. It happens because people work; some have duties that do not allow them to have time for the proper meal. Snacking is a common habit too. Nobody wants to have the snack of a carrot. They choose chips, candies, or granola bars to hide hunger until dinner.

Dinner is the biggest meal. It is eaten mainly before bed and in front of the TV. This combination leads to calories which deposit as the fat in our bodies. Why? Calories must be burned and used during metabolic processes in our body. When we do not move, the body does not need so many calories. They become the fatty deposit in most critical areas such as the belly or thighs.

How Much Do We Need Eat?

Our stomach is a small, elastic organ. Its capacity is 350-450 cm2 or a little more than a quart. It can consist of 0,5 liter to 1,7 liter of liquid. It means that food will be digested well if we do not overeat.

The stomach has muscles. They churn food and push it around to expose it to the gastric juices. If we overeat food, stomach muscles become weak. They can move food around. Food sits in the stomach, half indigested. All problems occurred from it, such as lousy protein digestion, intestinal gas, and loss of nutritional value from food.

We know that fresh food has nutrients. When food stays undigested, it can be spoiled pretty soon. It is the same with the stomach. If the food stays too long and unprocessed, we have problems because it can not be covered enough with gastric juices.

Conclusion

If we want to know how to lose weight and be in the shape Mother Nature created us, we must follow some rules.

How to Lose Weight?

These rules are:

Activity

Walk, exercise, and sports will help burn calories. The business supports the body to stay young, flexible, and healthy.

The Quality of Food

We must skip processed foods. These foods do not have nutrients that are vital for our bodies. More nutrients, fewer calories we need to consume. Spirulina is an excellent solution to get all essential nutrients with a minimum of calories.

The Quantity of Food

We must get up from the table when we feel slightly hungry. The sense of fulfillment will come after a few minutes. We must control how much vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates are consumed during the day. Plants must take the most significant part of the food ration.

The Eating Schedule

Breakfast is essential as the source of energy for the day. According to MD, ND Carolyn Dean is advisable to eat every four hours. In this way, the liver can rest. The last meal is supposed to be before sunset. The stomach needs to have time to digest food until we sleep.

Do you have some thoughts about how to be slim faster and feel good? Do you know how to lose weight? I would be delighted to hear from you.

Spirulina and Vitamins

October 28, 2016 By Nemira 8 Comments

Spirulina and Vitamins

Spirulina and vitamins are great topics because the Spirulina is the source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins, and essential amino acids. Spirulina is a valuable food supplement. Vitamins take part in metabolism, immune system,  and digestion activities. Without vitamins, our body would be thrown off balance and could not function properly.

Spirulina contains several vitamins which are essential to metabolic processes.

Spirulina and Vitamins

Pyridoxine or B6

Pyridoxine helps break down and assimilate proteins. Dr.Carl Pfeiffer stated that vitamin B6, together with the mineral zinc, can contribute to healing some forms of schizophrenia.

Vitamin B6 protects cardiac health, helps reduce edema, and stabilizes female hormone levels.

Biotin

Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin. This vitamin is called vitamin B7 or coenzyme R.

Biotin is essential for the growth of cells, the production of fatty acids, and the metabolism of amino acids and fats.

Biotin takes part in carrying CO2 during biochemical reactions. Biotin is necessary for nails and hair production.

Cobalamin or B12

Vitamin B12 is water-soluble, and it is rare to be found in vegetables. Thankfully, Spirulina is rich in cobalamin or so-called vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 plays a significant role in the functions of the brain and nervous system,  the formation of the red blood cells, in the metabolism of fatty acids and amino acids.

If humans lack Cobalamin in their bodies, they can feel fatigued. The mental illnesses can develop, such as schizophrenia.

Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic acid or vitamin B5 is a part of the vitamin B complex. Pantothenic acid takes part in the synthesis of coenzyme-A, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

According to Jack Joseph Challem, the author of Spirulina: What it Is…the Health Benefits it Can Give You, pantothenic acid is a stress vitamin. When the body lacks this vitamin, fatigue, infections, and degenerative diseases like arthritis and rheumatism could occur.

Ulcers and hypoglycemia are associated with the absence of pantothenic acid.

Folic Acid

Folic acid participates in the formation of hemoglobin in red blood cells. If the body lacks folic acid, anemia, weak growth, premature graying of the hair occur. There is shortness of breath,  heart palpitations, and open sores on the tongue due to the lack of folic acid.

Humans can not produce folic acid. They need to get vitamin B from the diet.

Inositol

Inositol is the essential lipotropic nutrient. Lipotropic means a compound that accelerates the breakdown of fat during metabolism in the body.

Inositol sustains liver health and helps detoxify carcinogens, according to Jack Joseph Challem.

Niacin or Vitamin B3

Niacin or vitamin B3 is essential for mental health. Dr. Abram Hoffer, co-developer of Orthomolecular Medicine, has relieved symptoms of schizophrenia with niacin.

According to Wikipedia, the lack of niacin can cause nausea, anemia, headaches, and tiredness.

Niacin deficiency can show up as decreased tolerance to cold, various skin conditions such as dermatitis, and hyperpigmentation.

Riboflavin or B2

Riboflavin is necessary for healthy vision and skin health.

Thiamine or B1

Thiamine is essential for maintaining levels of glucose in the blood. If the body lacks thiamin, humans can feel tired. Neurological and cardiovascular diseases occur when the body is deficient in thiamin.

Tocopherol or Vitamin E

Spirulina contains plenty of vitamin E. The algae contains more vitamin E compared with wheat germ.

Vitamin E or tocopherol is famous for protecting the heart and vascular health. The deficiency of vitamin E can cause anemia and neurological problems.

Spirulina has enormous nutritional value because it contains most of all vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that the body needs. Spirulina is easily digested and does not have any side effects. Spirulina and vitamins are the real things that work for our benefit.
