The liver is a vital organ. When we lead a healthy life, we know how to keep the liver safe. Liver functions are detoxification, metabolism participation, glycogen storage, protein synthesis, hormone production, and decomposition of red blood cells.

ALDH is aldehyde dehydrogenase. ALDH is the enzyme derived from proteins, which helps break down alcohol.

The aldehyde is a product of alcohol oxidation. Aldehyde is a harmful substance. When the liver can not filter alcohol, the aldehyde poisons body. Headaches occur, and vomiting and stomach pain bother drunk individuals.

According to Christopher Hills, P.h.D, S.D., if fatty liver is not appropriately treated, it can turn to cirrhosis.

How Does Enema Work?

The enema is a procedure and an old form of hydrotherapy. How does the enema work? It doesn’t sound very comfortable at first. Why do we need this method? This procedure helps clean colon walls, enhances the elimination of toxins through the liver, and stimulates bile flow.

Enemas and irrigation for the colon were standard procedures at the hospitals.

It seems that cleansing is an effective method. Why?  Food in the small and large intestines is not adequately absorbed, sugars and proteins ferment and rot. This process produces chemicals that are absorbed by the liver. The liver has plenty of job detoxing toxins. Additional toxins can weaken the liver and disturb activity.

Coffee enemas enhance digestion and increase bile flow.

Body Cleansing

Doctor Max Gerson presented the coffee enema. Gerson was the pioneer in nutritional therapy for diseases and reached positive results.

It would be best to have an enema bag, tube,  and bucket with the clamp for the coffee enema.

The coffee must be organic. The opened container or bag must be stored in the freezer for maximum freshness.

The Boiling Method


2 or 3 cups of filtered water and two or three tablespoons of coffee pour into the saucepan. Boil it for five minutes.  Allow cooling of the liquid till it becomes room temperature.

Pour cooled and strained the mixture into the enema bag. The hose must be attached already. Look for air. Empty it if some air bubbles are in the enema’s bag.

Lubricate the enema tip with coconut oil.

Position. You can lay on the back or the side. The place to perform enema is bathroom floor or bathtub. Placing the towel on the surface of the bath or floor helps the body relax.

The container with coffee must be placed above the abdomen. Check for air and temperature.

Insert lubricated tip gently without force. It is best to take the enema right away after the bowel movement.

Slightly open the clamp and let the liquid flow inside. Do not open the clamp fully. Adjust the flow regarding how your intestine accepts the coffee enema. It takes 10-15 minutes for the whole amount to run into the inside body.

A first experience can be confusing. You must feel the body. It is comfortable, and no pain?

When the whole liquid is inside, the enema’s bag becomes flat. You can take the slightly inserted tip out or leave it inside for a while. It is op to you.

Close the clamp.

The time for the enema is about 15 minutes. I can be honest. For me,  the first time did not last five minutes. I spurted as the rocket to the place where kings walk.

Anyway, the feeling was great because I had lost a few pounds.

Finishing  Business


When you are done with the enema, the equipment must be cleaned with warm water, soda, or liquid soap. I like enema’s bag made from silicon. It is sturdy and easy to use. It has a long hose and is easy to use the clamp. If you want, you can boil all equipment made from silicon.

The first time using the enema kit can bring some confusion and adventures. You need to explore your body and feel how it works for you. Consult with a dependable health practitioner if you have any doubts about coffee enemas and how medicine works.

The liver is the biochemical factory in our bodies. How to protect the liver from alcohol? Vital functions of the liver are analysis and synthesis, storage, and detoxification. The liver is the largest organ in the human body.

People consumed alcohol for ages. I can not imagine French culture without cognac, cheese,  and wines. Irish people are famous for whiskey, Japanese with sake.

Unfortunately, people do not know the limits. They consume too much alcohol. The damage would be done fast enough.

The liver can dispose of 10 millimeters of alcohol per hour. It means that if we drink more, the liver will not be able to detoxicate the alcohol.

Eat Proteins


Most all enzymes which break down the alcohol are made from proteins. It means that proteins are crucial to us if we want to have a well-functioning liver.

70 % of the liver is protein—enzymes that perform functions derived from proteins.

The daily protein dose for adults is a minimum of 60-70 grams. Children require more because they grow.

Proteins consist of various numbers of different amino acids. It means that we must eat different types of food.

No to Cirrhosis


Cirrhosis is a condition when fatty cells in the liver take over healthy liver cells. Usually, about 4% of the liver’s weight is fat. When fat reaches the 10% limit, the liver can not perform its functions.

Excess fat accumulates in cells when the liver does not get enough protein from food.
