What is Healthy Food?

January 11, 2017 By Nemira 2 Comments

What is healthy food? Healthy food is nutritious without harmful substances and chemicals. Healthy eating provides fuel for the body. Additionally, healthy food keeps all body systems intact and balanced. Besides, healthy food is safe. It does not matter how long we use it. There are no side effects.

What Is Healthy Food?

Healthy food must provide vigor, keep the body resilient to illness, and prevent various diseases.

How Many Healthy People Are Around?

Stress is a common thing in modern society. There are plenty of ways to lift the mod and feel energetic and balanced for a short time, active and balanced.

Caffeinated drinks, sodas, and various food supplements keep people in shape. How long? It depends on genetics and lifestyle.

Plenty of us does not have time to have a proper breakfast or lunch. Fast food does not have nutritional value compared with pure, fresh, and nutritious food.

If we drink soda during mealtime, we get plenty of sugar. Eight teaspoons are in one glass of fizz. We get a flush of energy. Unfortunately, later on, we feel exhausted.

It proved that it takes one generation of people to become obese when food quality changes.

You know this saying that we are what we think. We are what we eat; the phrase fits here too.

The Quality of  Food

Health food stores are around. Consumers have multiple choices. How can they pick the best product from thousands of items?

Sometimes people can not choose the best food. They pick the best-looking product, thanks to a nice-looking label or advertisement.

Products can be heavy with sodium or hidden sugar. Products with a long shelf life are not so good because vital nutrients disappear.

Check your Feelings

When you have your dinner or breakfast, analyze how you feel. Are you energetic, or would you like to take a nap? Are you thirsty, or do you feel heaviness in your belly?

According to Ayurveda, food for the meal must fit into our palms put together. Our stomach is small, a bag of muscles. These muscles churn the food. Gastric juice softens the feed, breaks it down, and pushes it forward to the bowels.

If we overeat, the stomach loses elasticity. Muscles can not properly churn food because there is too much food.

People have surgeries to make their stomachs smaller. Could it be better to eat less and avoid painful procedures?

What is Healthy Food?

Wholesome food is healthy and nourishing. A fresh, nutritious diet provides for the body material. Thankfully, this material is vitamins, proteins, enzymes, amino acids, minerals, etc.

We do not need to consume large quantities of food. Small portions can fulfill us if food is fresh and nutritious.

Immune system and Spirulina

Conclusion

Here the Spirulina comes into the picture. Spirulina is a source of vital nutrients. These nutrients keep the body in shape and make him resistant to ups and downs in our stressful lives. You can find out what healthy food is by reading books by Christopher Hills, Dr. Carolyn Dean, and Dr. Joseph Mercola.

You can take a few tablets a day. Spirulina is a great food supplement for those who do not have the time and resources to prepare and consume healthy food every day.

Why Use Spirulina?

January 8, 2017 By Nemira 6 Comments

Spirulina is algae and is a nutraceutical food supplement. Why use Spirulina? Spirulina allows the body to get missing vital nutrients.

The soil is depleted and lacks minerals. Plants do not have enough nutrients because they can not get them from the ground. The constant usage of the field makes it empty of minerals. It takes plenty of time to recover.

Animals who graze grass do not get minerals either. It is a vicious cycle. It could be the change if we would use less meat.

Unfortunately, people are addicted to meat — most of them. We can not change the habits of people. We can provide information about why it is useless to consume food without vital nutrients.

The body is one complex organism

The body functions well when all systems are in sync. When something is out the order, problems occur.

For example, if you catch a cold, your nose runs, the temperature can get up, and headaches occur.

Everything in the body is connected. When we have whole functioning bodies, everything is fine. We can perform any task.

When the body lacks some nutrients, we will feel the consequences sooner or later.

Immune system and Spirulina

Why use Spirulina?

Spirulina is a source of proteins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and vitamins.

If we do not get nutrients from food or supplements, we can experience fatigue, headaches, tiredness, swings in mood, and metabolism disturbances. If this lack of nutrients continues, we can experience chronic diseases.

For example, if we lack magnesium, we can get migraines, heart problems, and disturbed metabolism.

When we get Spirulina as a food supplement, our bodies get essential nutrients. These nutrients participate in reactions. The body can function right because it has all the needed things.

Where get Spirulina?

I ordered Spirulina at the Amazon. The delivery is fast. If something bothers you, you can return anytime and write feedback for the seller.

I pick organic Spirulina, and I prefer tablets over pills or powder. Why? Tablets are easy to swallow. The powder is suitable for smoothies. The taste of dust is not a pleasant one. It is better to mix it with something sweet like banana or pineapple.

People would ask why to use Spirulina. I would answer because Spirulina is a nutraceutical food.

Weight loss is an essential and fundamental topic for many people how to shed unwanted pounds if the media encourages us to fit standards. Images of famous people, models, and actors trick us when they show up on the TV, computers, and phones.
Did you ever think about your weight? I could bet you thought about it once if you lived on Earth. If you are a woman or a girl, you can not escape this issue. Men are sensitive nowadays too.

Keeping a good weight is possible if you have a strong will, exercise, eat nutritious food, and follow advice from knowledgeable practitioners.

Welcome to reality

It seems that looks are necessary to survive in this world. I would be happy to tell you that what is inside the human being is most important, not physical looks. Unfortunately, the reality is different.

One thing that I noticed about those people who have a strong will, they are seldom overweight. They have more to think about, not just about their appearance.

How To Shed Unwanted Pounds

Anyway, if we gain some weight and want to get rid of it, we can do it successfully.

How to shed unwanted pounds?

Follow these steps

Check with a dependable health practitioner about your condition if you have some questions about your health.

  • Know how many pounds you would like to lose.
  • Eat small portions
  • Drink plenty of filtered water
  • Skip junk food such as fast food and sweets.
  • Do not eat after six in the evening.
  • Drink water with lemon juice before breakfast. It will clean your intestine and will remove waste from your bowels.
  • Eat nutritious food.

  • Exercise

Sounds easy? Unfortunately, it is easy to know what to do. Unfortunately, keeping up with some guidance and making things work takes time, patience, and perseverance.

You can lose weight if you do not have any health concerns except for the lack of time and strong will. My friend did it. She gained plenty of pounds after her twins were born. She liked to finish all the porridge after them. Porridge was with butter and tasty. After twenty years, she told herself: enough.

After a couple of years, I did not recognize her when I met her.

Follow advice from doctors

New Year Promises

January 3, 2017 By Nemira 4 Comments

New Year is a start, a new one. New Year promises can keep us excited for a while. Many of us conclude that New Year will bring us different results, such as relationships, health, and financial freedom. We think that everything, or almost everything, will change to the right. Unfortunately, thinking and waiting for changes will not achieve the desired results.

New Year Promises

Action, please

Without action, we do not get out of bed. Without effort, we do not move from one point to the next.

Everything moves around us. We are part of the movement, big or small.

Do not talk

Plenty of us like to brag about what we would like to do after New Year. When we talk about our plans, we scatter the energy that could serve for actions. Sometimes after the conversation about our projects, we feel that we have already done something. Did we? We can feel ashamed because we did not move from the dead point.

New Year promises in action

Small steps

Small steps are better compared to nothing. If you want to lose weight, start with an analysis of food quality. The quality must be outstanding, not quantity. By changing junk food to nutritious, you will feel energetic and fulfilled.

New Year promises

Do you feel lazy? Do you want to go to the gym but you are shy? You can start by walking outside. Choosing stairs over the elevator, walking in the park, driving a bicycle, or walking a dog from the shelter will allow you to feel better in a few ways. You will find that you are not alone. Plenty of people go out and move. You do not need to run marathons. Just move.

Later on, you can start with more pressing tasks such as exercises. Small steps lead to bigger jobs. You will see how the energy will return to you.

How about financial freedom?

Many people try the lottery. If somebody wins, how about happiness? Most of them regret winning.

Small steps are reaching financial freedom work too. Start by clearing out your wishes and expectations. Do you know what you want from life? You must formulate real goals. Just saying that I want to be rich does not lead anywhere.

When you know what you want, you can look for ways to accomplish it.

  • Look for people who have already achieved your desired goals.
  • Create a plan and stick to it.
  • Revise the plan and follow your dream.
  • Ask for advice—research material regarding your goal.

Find like-minded people

People who are serious about accomplishing New Year’s goals can be great support and advisers to you.

You can support each other, comfort, and help with encouraging words when everything seems dull and far away.

Having support and aid from friends or coworkers means a lot. Of course, if they are serious about completing tasks. Doubters and haters are not welcome to participate in our journey.

Record your progress

When you write goals on paper or on the computer, you document your actions. It does not matter how small your steps are. These measures show that you took steps. It is progress that will transition you from one level to another.

Conclusion

  • Know that you want
  • Find a support group or friends
  • If you are strong, you can do it by yourself
  • Be realistic
  • Record and track your progress
  • Do not blame yourself if something goes wrong
  • Breath, relax, and start again

New Year promises can become a reality if we would take action.

Spirulina and Asthma

December 28, 2016 By Nemira 10 Comments

Spirulina is nutraceutical algae, and it can help to control asthma. Spirulina and asthma are essential topics. Spirulina can reduce the need for drugs for treatment. Does it sound like a fairy tale? I knew that Spirulina is capable of nourishing bodies with vital nutrients. It seems that Spirulina is a valuable nutraceutical supplement.

Nutraceutical: What it Means?

Nutraceutical: What does it mean?

Nutraceutical means that food or part of a diet can provide us with health benefits and therapeutic value. In the USA, organizations that regulate how to name one or other stuff do not recognize the benefits of essential items such as Spirulina, Noni, or Cordyceps. These mentioned products contain 100% active ingredients. Each of them has the ability to help human beings in one way or another.

I mentioned these products as an example. There are plenty of gifts from nature. People used them to add to their daily intake or help themselves when the body required outside improvement.

Spirulina and Asthma

Asthma is a condition in which the lungs and bronchial airways are affected. People can not breathe easily. Airways are obstructed, and spasms occur.

In the book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health authors state

Spirulina with its galaxy of antioxidant nutrients can thus be an effective therapeutic mode for combating detrimental damage and inflammation in the respiratory lining.

Researchers Uliyar V.Mani, Uma M.Iyer, Swati A.Dhruv, Indirani U.Mani, and Kavita S. Sharma wrote that  Spirulina is an excellent option for asthma patients. It is a rich source of GLA and antioxidants.

GLA is gamma-linolenic acid. GLA is a fatty acid. In general, fatty acids serve as fuel for the contraction of muscles and body metabolism. GLA in Spirulina acts as the anti-inflammatory representative.

Spirulina and Asthma

Researchers found out that the antioxidant properties of Spirulina help fight against harmful oxidants. I think that you know that people who smoke or work in contaminated places are prone to conditions such as asthma.

Spirulina is a source of antioxidants

Spirulina is a golden trunk full of nutrients such as beta-carotene, vitamin E, selenium, and other minerals. In the book,  Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, researchers provide results regarding Spirulina’s influence on patients with asthma.

It is a piece of high-quality evidence from scientists and doctors who spent their time researching Spirulina. In my mentioned book, there are plenty of medical terms and documented results about the benefits of Spirulina.

For example, in the studies, researchers found that IgE ( immunoglobulin E) decreased significantly after the usage of Spirulina.

IgE or immunoglobulin E is the antibody produced by the immune system. These antibodies can trigger allergic reactions by releasing chemicals. When people smoke or receive contaminants through the airways, the immune system reacts to intruders. Allergy or asthma occurs.

Spirulina and Asthma

Everybody who would like to check the book for themselves can find information about Spirulina and asthma in the book edited by M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay. Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, 83.

The conclusion in the words of scientists

Thus, from the positive results obtained in protein status, pulmonary function, and IgE status in supplemented groups it can be concluded that Spirulina can be introduced along with medicine as a therapeutic and dietary supplement in the treatment of asthmatics, and in the long run this may not only control asthma but also reduce the need of drugs in its treatment.

I do think that it is excellent news because Spirulina does not have side effects. It is a pure and abundant source of antioxidants, nutrients, minerals, vitamins, and proteins. The information about Spirulina and asthma could give insights to people who want to learn more about this particular topic.
