Soda Tax Is Good

October 6, 2017 By Nemira 2 Comments

The soda tax is good because everybody addicted to soda drinks would start to think about why these fees are higher than before. Nobody likes it when prices go up.  However, high rates do not mean that the item or product is of good quality. After all, nobody will be harmed if soda sales would go down.

Why do soda drinks require tax?

Soda Tax Is Good

I hope that you know that soda drinks contain plenty of sugar. This sugar is not brown or molasses. It is white sugar striped from minerals and other nutrients — taste buds like a pleasant feeling. Unfortunately, the body has plenty of problems.

Tax on soda would help people to stop and think about where to spend the money. Soda drinks are addictive, but they do not have any nutritional value; they only pave the path to obesity.

Obesity

It is not a surprise that in North America, the obesity skyrocketed. A few generations ago, people were in shape and did not get diabetes as often as now. We can blame parents or the government, but it does not help get rid of problems. We must know that we are responsible for our choices.

If you want to drink soda drinks where sugar is hidden, but you get eight spoons of sugar in every can, the consequences are dangerous. It is terrible for us, families, and health professionals. Doctors could spend their valuable time treating other diseases.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to get rid of bad habits. Happily, soda taxes cause turmoil, which makes people think why these taxes on soda got up.

Diabetes

One of the main reasons that people get diabetes is a sinful lifestyle. Overeating, a sedentary lifestyle, and the lack of nutrients create an avalanche of problems. It seems that people do not want to be in bad shape, but on the other hand, individuals seldom look for information and ask questions from knowledgeable health professionals.

It does not need to be in this way. Of course, there are other problems. It isn’t straightforward. However, by watching over diet, getting off from the coach, and consistently following the advice of excellent doctors, people could change everything for a pleasant outcome.

How are soda taxes good?

Soda Tax Is Good

Soda taxes bring light to things that are not new. It shows the magnitude of the problems. Soda drinks do not bring wanted results to people. Addiction to sugar is a common thing for people.

What is harmful to soda drinks?

Significant amounts of sugar in soda drinks strip bodies of minerals. Magnesium is removed with waste because the body needs minerals to utilize the harm of sugar.

When the body lacks magnesium, the body’s metabolism suffers. You can read more about magnesium’s role in the human body.

The mechanism of sugar harm

Sometimes, it is not easy to grasp why sugar harms us. I like sweets, especially chocolate. Thankfully, I understand the reason, and now I  know why I was addicted. I am cured now.

There are steps in the sugar mechanism

  • The meal or can of soda with eight to ten spoons of sugar inside reaches the stomach
  • It stimulates an insulin response from the pancreas
  • Insulin normalizes blood sugar levels
  • When there is too much insulin, the levels of blood sugar go down, and sugar goes into the cells
  • The low level of blood sugar causes adrenaline
  • The adrenaline from the adrenal glands stimulates to raise blood sugar back to normal.
  • Constant usage of sweets and sugary drinks exhausts the pancreas and adrenal glands.
  • Albeit there is too much insulin, which is stimulated by soda drinks, cell’s receptor sites shut down.
  • It leads to insulin resistance. It means that insulin can not transport sugar into cells.
  • Sugar cannot get into the cells where it is turned into energy
  • Sugar becomes elevated in the blood, which damages the eyes, heart, and kidneys in adult-onset diabetes.

Conclusion

Soda drinks do not bring well-being to our bodies. There are plenty of risks, such as obesity, the lack of minerals such as magnesium, and diabetes. The soda tax will remind us that we can choose better options to indulge ourselves.

When the body goes out of balance, who will be responsible for the latest consequences? There are plenty of examples that show that the wrong lifestyle and poor diet do not lead to a joyful life. It creates just misery. Of course, we enjoy a few minutes of excitement, but after that, we do not fit into the airplane seat. Let’s not feel sorry about soda taxes and think about how to preserve the most valuable asset: health.

Update

The Chicago newspaper, Chicago Tribune, followed the ups and downs of debated sugar taxes. Few informative articles showed up about reasons why these taxes will touch residents and sellers. “Philadelphia’s soda taxes offer lessons,” “Doomed soda tax was never about our health,” and ” Cook County retailers cheer soda tax repeal” painted the colorful picture of various points from the view of customers, sellers, government officials, and journalists. What do you think about how it ended? Despite durable pieces of evidence that sugary drinks harm most vulnerable people in Hispanic and African-American communities, taxes did not go up.

Of course, adults want to make their own decisions. People who drink these sugary drinks are addicted to them from childhood. More significant prices will not stop them. Instead of a rational and constant explanation about harm, the offer to increase taxes on soda drinks showed up. Sellers did not like it and fought back. They won.

“(Taxpayers) will continue to cover the rising costs of treating the chronic diseases caused by drinking too many sugary beverages while also seeing cuts to health care services for our most vulnerable communities,” Elissa Bassler, CEO of the Illinois Public Health Institute, said in a statement.

Chicago Tribune, Thursday, October 12, 2017

It is a long journey from realizing that nobody else will take care of you. Only the understanding that health is the most critical asset will change the situation.

You and you can make decisions regarding everything. Companies that produce these drinks do not want to lose clients. It is a business, nothing more. However, tobacco companies print on packages that smoking is harmful to our health. Maybe it will happen with sugary drinks?

Too Much Calcium Is Dangerous

October 3, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Too Much Calcium Dangerous

Too much calcium is dangerous for the body. Too much calcium is hazardous to the body because the consequences are harmful. Magnesium helps to change the situation. Unfortunately, 80 percent of the population in the USA is deficient in magnesium.

You would think that calcium helps to keep bones healthy and avoid osteoporosis. I believed in the same way and consumed calcium gluconate and Super Calcium from Tianshi, the global herbal company. Thankfully, I did not have problems, but my friends did. One girlfriend complained about the lump under her skin. Did I think what the heck it can be?

Curiosity took over, and after reading research from prominent doctors such as Dr. Carolyn Dean, the author of The Magnesium Miracle, I understand why these lumps showed under her skin.

A deficiency of magnesium causes the overflow of calcium into cells. Calcium makes cells super excited, and they can day. Besides, the excess of calcium can cause various lumps in the tissues.

Importance of calcium

Calcium is as vital as other minerals are. There are calcium activities in the body, such as

  • Enzymes require calcium ions as cofactors
  • Extracellular calcium participates in managing potential differences across cell membranes
  • Calcium is involved in fertilization, muscle contractions,
  • Calcium is essential to the release of neurotransmitters from neurons
  • Ca ions act as second messengers used in signal transduction
  • Calcium competes with ATP and magnesium in muscle contractions
  • Calcium participates in vasodilation and vascular contraction
  • Calcium is found in bones supporting structure and function
  • Calcium is vital to our body is the same as other minerals. However, disbalance and extensive usage of calcium supplements can bring unpleasant consequences.

Why is too much calcium dangerous to our well-being?

Calcium cannot act alone in the body. It needs neighbors such as magnesium, which keeps calcium from harming cells.

Magnesium and calcium work together, offending each other in absorption, cell cycle regulation, inflammation, and other activities of metabolism.

Dr. Carolyn Dean describes an experiment showing how magnesium affects calcium. If you try to dissolve the pill of calcium in a glass of water, you will be disappointed. The calcium will spin around as snowflakes do. When you add some magnesium to the drink with calcium, the mineral will disappear.

Too Much Calcium Dangerous

It was an experiment in the glass. What do you think about your organs where calcium would deposit on walls if magnesium is deficient?

The heart, bladder, blood vessels, and breast tissue would suffer from too much calcium.

There are consequences if calcium exceeds limits without the presence of magnesium:

  • Muscle spasms
  • Migraines
  • Kidney stones
  • Renal artery calcification
  • Higher blood pressure
  • Angina
  • Heart attack
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Heart disease
  • Constipation
  • Abdominal pain
  • Increases risk of stroke
  • Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)

The mechanism of problems with calcium

The precipitation of calcium in the soft tissues of the body

  • The calcium interferes with peristalsis and causes magnesium deficiency. Peristalsis is a process in the intestine muscle contraction pushing food through the bowels. Calcium sits on the walls of the intestine and causes constipation.
  • The combination of calcium and phosphorus or oxalic acid leads to kidney stones. It happens when magnesium is deficient.
  • When calcium deposits on the lining of the bladder, it prevents the full removal of urine and relaxation of the bladder. It could lead to infections.
  • The precipitation of calcium from blood and deposits on the lining of arteries causes arteriosclerosis( hardening of arteries).
  • Calcium can accumulate in the brain. There are investigations regarding dementia, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s diseases.
  • If calcium deposits on the lining of the bronchial tube, it can cause asthma.
  • When calcium reaches limits in cells, it can disturb the permeability. Huge molecules, such as glucose, cannot pass through the cell membrane to be turned into ATP in the cell’s mitochondria.

Why does it happen?

When calcium overdoses and magnesium is deficient, calcification occurs. Why? Magnesium acts as the guard of the cell. It lets enough calcium as the cell needs. If there is no magnesium or traces around, calcium overwhelms the cell.

Conclusion

Too much calcium is dangerous for our well-being. The proper utilization of calcium requires magnesium. Without magnesium, calcium occupies soft tissues, harming various places in the body, such as the walls of blood vessels, the heart, the bladder, and the kidneys. The excess of calcium can do damage to mitochondria in cells. Most of the calcium supplements are overused and do more harm than good. Why? Most of the people are magnesium deficient. Magnesium protects cells from an excess of calcium.

Magnesium supplement ReMag makes a difference because it is 100 percent absorbable and goes straight to the cells. Dr. Carolyn Dean created ReCalcia, the calcium supplement, which is a pico-ionic mineral and safe to use. You can read about her products here.

Vitamin D and Magnesium Correlation

October 1, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

The vitamin D and magnesium correlation is enormous and requires more attention. Why? Vitamin D needs magnesium to convert it into an active form. Magnesium is vital in the eight steps of vitamin D metabolism. Isn’t it fascinating? It seems that magnesium is crucial for almost all actions in our bodies.

The importance of vitamin D

  • A moderate amount of vitamin D increases the risk of mortality.
  • Vitamin D activates the innate and suppresses the adaptive immune systems.
  • Low amounts of vitamin D can be a risk for tuberculosis.
  • Vitamin D may lower the possibility of pre-eclampsia for pregnant women
  • Osteomalacia and rickets can occur when vitamin D is deficient.

Can it be too much vitamin D?

Vitamin D and Magnesium Correlation

Yes, vitamin D used in excess can be harmful. Vitamin D tends to take calcium from the diet. Vitamin D does not let it go. Here the accumulation of calcium occurs, and what do you think? Without adequate magnesium, calcification occurs. Soft tissues and blood vessels will be covered with calcium. Besides that, the magnesium will be forced out of the body.

Vitamin D is a hormone

To know that is strange, especially to those who did not like chemistry and biology in class. Hormone levels are regulated by checking each other regarding lack or abundance. For example, vitamin D takes calcium from the diet and puts it in the bloodstream. If there is enough calcium, vitamin D levels will go down because the body does not need more calcium. It is a regulatory mechanism in the body.

Unfortunately, when we take superficial vitamin D, not this which happens from the sun, the amounts could be too significant. People experience adverse reactions such as seizures, kidney stones, angina, palpitations, prolonged migraines, and anxiety without sufficient magnesium.

Individuals who want to take high amounts of vitamin D must be efficient in magnesium. Without magnesium, vitamin D does not work for our benefit and creates problems.

Conclusion

Vitamin D and magnesium correlation is a fact that must be considered. Overdosing vitamin D and not taking enough magnesium, we would have problems such as heart palpitations, pain in the lower back and knees, anger, angina, and more.

Do you take vitamin D without magnesium? Do you feel good? It would be great to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment below.

Fluoride Water Dangers

October 1, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Fluoride water dangers are enormous. Fluorine ions are toxic. They damage cells and tissues. Worse, fluorine ions released from fluoride compounds in fluoridated water bind with magnesium. This connection is secure, and nothing can ruin this union.

Fluoride Water Dangers

More than eighty percent of the population is magnesium deficient in the USA. If people drink fluoridated water and use products and chemicals with fluoride, they will lose more magnesium.

Drinking fluoridated water creates magnesium deficiency that could lead to one or more of 65 magnesium deficiency conditions. Besides, fluoridated water can cause osteosarcoma.

Why is water fluoridated?

Dentists thought that fluoride toothpaste and fluoride gel painted on teeth would protect them from decay. This supposition was based on a small study many years ago. Unfortunately, nobody questioned and made other studies to support this opinion.

Some drugs or chemicals contain fluoride

Fluorine has unique properties that prolong drug life and increase activity in the body. Fluorine makes the compound more stable, acidic, and robust. Fluorine increases the availability of the drug to cross fatty cell membranes. It attaches to binding sites on cell receptors and enzymes in the body.

Do you know that magnesium is an active cofactor in 800 enzyme systems? Can you imagine what happens when fluorine ion binds with magnesium? Magnesium cannot participate in the body’s metabolism.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Russell Blaylock, a medical director of Second Look, an organization that researches and examines public policy on water fluoridation and fluoridated drugs, mentioned that most commonly used drugs contain fluorine.

These drugs are Prozac, Paxil, Cipro, Diflucan, Prevacid, Lipitor, Advair, Celebrex, and steroids.

People who take these drugs lose magnesium. Why? Fluorine tends to form a compound with magnesium. It is called sellaite (MgF2). Most of the pills contain fluorine. You swallow medication, and in your intestine, gut bacteria dismantle medicines to the smallest components.

Fluoride water dangers

Fluorine from fluoride compounds in the water and other products with fluoride binds with magnesium.

Magnesium and fluorine make a compound called sellaite (MgF2). The sellaite is not soluble. It changes magnesium in bone and cartilage.

Fluoride Water Dangers

This process makes bones brittle and prone to breaks and fractures. Not so much fun, is not?

Water fluoridation and osteosarcoma

Dr.Carolyn Dean, in her book The Magnesium Miracle, second edition, mentions the interview with Dr. Paul Connett from the Fluoride Action Network. He reported that ” Harvard grad student Elise Bassin, in her Ph.D. The thesis found a strong correlation between water fluoridation and osteosarcoma. The osteosarcoma is one of the bone cancer types.

Bassin found out that young men who had been exposed to fluoridated water between ages six and eight had a 700 percent increase in sarcoma.

It was 2005 year. What do you think has changed till now?  Most of Europe and half of the United States quit the usage of fluoride in water. However, the rest of the United States and other countries still use fluoride in the water.

Conclusion

As you see, it is no fun to drink fluoridated water and use products with fluoride. I did not know any person who would willingly harm themselves. I do not talk about smoking and binge drinking because these addictions are diseases. Individuals know what they do. Unfortunately, you do not see in the media about harmful consequences of fluoride.

Fluoride Water Dangers are:

  • The risk of breaking the bone and rupturing tendons
  • The threat of being a victim of osteosarcoma
  • The danger of being magnesium deficient

What can you do? Taking magnesium makes a big difference because you will replenish lost magnesium. Use water filters that can get rid of fluoride and other nasty chemicals. Water filters work for the purpose in their name: to filter the water from dangerous chemicals.

What is the most important? Be informed. Dr.Carolyn Dean’s book  The Magnesium Miracle, the second edition, will make a significant impact on your life.

If you have some questions or thoughts regarding this topic, please leave a comment below.

Ways to Prevent Colon Cancer

September 30, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Ways that prevent colon cancer are straightforward to incorporate into our busy lives. It takes time, perseverance, and constant understanding that health is the most critical asset. Previously, people did not have so many problems because their lifestyle was different.

Sedentary lifestyle

Ways Prevent Colon Cancer

Did you think about how long we sit by the table, at offices, or lay on the couch? We do not move at all. People suffer from various problems because the body does not perform the primary function: moving. The action is the expression of life. Look at the children. They always do something. Most of the children are in great shape until we do not harm them with junk food and various restrictions.

The right lifestyle prevents many problems, such as colon cancer. Eating nutritious food, exercising, moving constantly, and avoiding harmful habits like smoking or alcohol consumption may help keep the colon in shape.

Importance of movement

Why is movement so important? When we move, our muscles work. They contract and relax. The blood flows freely around, bringing various nutrients to organs, tissues, and muscles.

When we sit too long, we stretch some muscles, and other muscles stay a too short longer time. Muscles must be used even without overworking.

Sitting too long, we do not let our bowels perform the primary functions well. These functions are to absorb food and remove waste. When we sit, muscles do not work. There is not too much ability to move the debris towards the end.  People who are obese sit on the back end and do not help to function bowels well.

Imagine if you are pressed with 200 pounds of weight. How would you get from this pressure? You can make noises or scratch if you are a cat or dog. However, our intestine is prepared from tissues that can be weakened if we do not move and exercise.

Researchers recommend exercising at least 30 minutes a day and sit less.

People can benefit from standing desks, which can be used for office jobs or working at home with computers.

Dr.Edward Giovannucci points out that colorectal cancer could be highly preventable if people follow a healthy lifestyle and a healthy diet.

What does it mean a healthy lifestyle?

A healthy lifestyle is

  • Controlled body weight
  • Physical activity
  • A Healthy Diet
  • Avoidance of nasty habits such as consumption of alcohol and smoking

Recommendations from researchers

Ways Prevent Colon Cancer

Dr. Edward Giovannucci, a professor of nutrition and epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, emphasizes a healthy diet. This diet must consist of

  •  High-fiber whole grains
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Less highly processed grains and starchy foods
  • Red meat no more as 500 grams of cooked weight a week

Researchers pointed out that fish, foods containing vitamin C, vitamin D, and multivitamin supplements may help lower the risk of colon cancer.

Dr.Darrell Gray, an assistant professor of gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Centre, emphasizes the importance of diet and the amount of exercise. He agrees that people need to focus on food and a healthy lifestyle.

According to Dr.Frank Sinicrope of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, “…choices are under one’s control and can significantly impact reducing the risk of developing this common cancer.”

There are more options on how to prevent colon cancer. The usage of pico-ionic minerals, drinking plenty of water, and keeping a positive attitude would help to relax not just the body but the mind as well.

Everything is connected to our bodies. Thoughts are things, and if we are concerned with every detail, we will not need relaxation.

Conclusion

Ways that prevent colon cancer are not complicated. Living simple lives like our parents and grandparents would let us stay healthy and in shape. A healthy diet and exercise are not big things. Let’s get off the couch and help the less fortunate or care for your garden. You will exercise your mind and body, doing some good for your community.
