Can Spirulina Cause Joint Pain?

January 18, 2023 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Can Spirulina cause joint pain?

Can Spirulina trigger joint pain?

Spirulina, photosynthetic bacteria, is a full product of biological origin. People call Spirulina the superfood, the food of 21 century.

This blue-green alga is potent food that contains all vital nutrients.

Spirulina can change our planet when feeding, nourishing, and improving the health of people.

Spirulina has nutrients that protect from inflammation that could damage joints.

Can our joints suffer from usage of Spirulina?

Thankfully, Spirulina brings only benefits to our joints. Spirulina contains phycocyanin, which strengthens the body’s resistance through the lymph system. This alga contains sulfolipids and glycolipids, which are anti-cancer and anti-AIDS substances. GLA, gamma-linoleic acid, being in Spirulina, helps with inflammation, blood pressure, cholesterol synthesis, and cell proliferation. Spirulina protects joints from inflammation.

Positive feedback from a user of Spirulina

Nothing is better than word of mouth. Michael Sansone, D.C., presents one of many cases of a woman who had problems with multiple joint pain and stiffness. She had more problems.

His patient took Spirulina phytoplankton along with other food supplements.

After one year, the follow-up evaluation showed that woman had no pain symptoms and had plenty of energy.

Michael Sansone, D.C., explained this situation. A woman was unable to digest foods that would give her vital nutrients.

Spirulina is an easily digestible food that provides all the needed nutrients.

The mechanism of the Spirulina’s help to joints and other body’s systems

Inflammation symptoms are:

  • Pain
  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Heat

Cytokines and chemokines are small proteins involved in cell signaling. When they are activated, they target local blood vessels enhancing blood flow, and induce vasodilation.

It means that blood vessels expand and become permeable. Fluids and plasma proteins leak into the affected tissue causing joint pain and puffiness.

Joints can be affected by various diseases too.

Importance of phycocyanin

Phycocyanin in Spirulina has anti-inflammatory properties.

It means that Spirulina can help with inflammation, in this case, with joint problems.

Doctors M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay, the authors of Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, point out that in the animal model of rheumatoid arthritis

oral administration of S.fusiformis(800 mg/kg per day) from Day 11 to Day 18 after arthritis induction resulted in significant suppression of inflammation.

Orally administered phycocyanin at doses of 25,50 or 100mg/kg significantly inhibited inflammation and structural joint damage in the same model.

Since phycocyanin constitutes ~20% of Spirulina’s dry weight, these observations are consistent with the hypothesis that phycocyanin is mainly responsible for the anti-inflammatory activity of this alga in experimental arthritis.

M.E.Gershwin and Amha Belay, Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, 184
Spirulina for the immune system

Why do people experience joint pain?

Your joints can suffer when you hurt yourself after exercise or bump into something hard. Inflammation can hurt joints badly, especially if you wait till it is not easy to walk or move.

Inflammation can occur when your immune system is weak, and the body needs additional help to strengthen it.

Free radicals can induce damage to joints. Lifestyle, the lack of sufficient nutrition, such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and proteins, can affect not only joints, but the whole body.

Wrapping up

Spirulina does not hurt joints or cause pain. It is the opposite. Spirulina relieves inflammation thanks to active ingredients such as GLA and phycocyanin. Taking this blue-green alga, you can enrich your body with essential nutrients, take care of your immune system, which in her way will protect your joints, organs, and tissues from inflammation and foreign intruders. Viva, Spirulina!

Can Spirulina Cause Insomnia?

January 17, 2023 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Can Spirulina cause insomnia?

Spirulina does not cause insomnia. It is the opposite. Spirulina, a wholesome nutrition, helps sleep thanks to the low calories. Taking Spirulina in the evening, you will not feel heaviness in your stomach as it would after late dinner. Spirulina dissolves easily giving the body all needed vitamins, proteins, amino acids, micronutrients.

What can cause insomnia?

Physical conditions

People do not sleep well when they have physical or emotional problems. For example, having muscle cramps will keep you awake. A stomach full of food will keep you awake. Sometimes there are exceptions to rules because all people are different.

Living conditions can cause insomnia, such as bright light through the window from the street lamp, dirty electricity in your house or apartment, a warm room, too soft bed.

The usage of alcohol can interfere with sleep. Sometimes people do not sleep when they are over-exhausted or have pain or migraine.

Emotional problems

Emotional problems can keep people awake. Overthinking never helped to solve issues. It can only deepen them. However, most of us do not know how to escape the vicious cycle of recurring thoughts.

Problems at work or simple thing as the snoring partner can keep you awake.

A snoring partner can cause insomnia

Can Spirulina help with sleep?

Yes, Spirulina can help with sleep, especially if you experience hunger before bed but do not want to gain weight after putting inside a big piece of cake.

Spirulina satisfies hunger but does not add calories. It is one of the best ways to lose weight and not starve as it happens when you are on a diet.

Think about it. Could you sleep better with a full stomach of pizza or steak or feel complete without a heavy load?

Nutrients in Spirulina

Micronutrients

Additionally, Spirulina contains magnesium that helps relax. Spirulina has other micronutrients, such as calcium, iron, zinc, manganese, chromium, copper, germanium, and selenium. These nutrients participate in the body’s metabolism. You can sleep better when your body gets all the needed nutrients and can perform in the best way as nature intended.

GLA

GLA is an essential fatty acid. Spirulina has abundance of GLA. Only mother’s milk has more of GLA than Spirulina.

GLA, gamma linoleic acid, is a precursor for the body’s prostaglandins, which are master hormones. They control many essential body functions.

Studies show that GLA can help with arthritis, obesity, zinc deficiency(think about a common cold or just running nose), heart problems.

Additionally, GLA can help with conditions of alcoholism, premenstrual stress, and aging.

Ten grams of Spirulina provides over 100mg of GLA. It is more than two capsules of evening primrose oil.

Benefits of Spirulina

Wrapping up

Spirulina only interferes with sleep if you take an enormous amount of it. It could happen to most of everything that you overdose on. It can be the best supplement or food on Earth, but if you do a stupid thing, such as overusing something, your body will reject it.

Spirulina does not cause insomnia, but it does help you go to sleep without having a full stomach. Instead, you will feel satisfied and full with light body. Nutrients in Spirulina nourish the body and help with metabolism. Sufficient amounts of proteins, essential fatty acids proteins, vitamins, and trace minerals replenish you body letting you have a good night’s sleep.

On a cheerful note. Animals benefit from Spirulina too. Japanese have been using Spirulina in pet food many decades ago.

Do you use Spirulina? It would be nice to hear from you.

Does Spirulina Help You Lose Weight?

February 8, 2019 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Does Spirulina help you lose weight?

Spirulina, blue-green algae, is a fantastic source of nutrients. Does Spirulina help you lose weight? Yes, especially if you exercise, do fast using Spirulina, which contains all vital nutrients. Your body can do it quickly and without unpleasant feelings.

It is good to know that nothing happens overnight. It may be just pleasant dreams, which come and go about the proper shape on the beach. Everybody, who wants to lose weight, must have a plan and follow health practitioners’ advice. Why do you need that?

Usually, overweight people have not just plenty of unnecessary fat around the belly, but they can be prone to diabetes and heart problems. It is useful when somebody watches over you. Anyway, Spirulina does not harm anybody and never will, primarily if you use organic brands.

Why organic?

Organic means that the source of nutraceutical food is checked thoughtfully and diligently. There is no chemical residue and toxins. Labs are responsible for delivering results and giving answers about the product. If something is wrong, nobody will approve the food supplement as the organic one. Organic means that you get the best product that does not harm you.

Why do we gain weight?

  •  Bad relationship?
  •  Plenty of junk food?
  •  Genes?
  •  Are you staying against TV or playing video games?

Nobody gains weight starting from nothing. Unnecessary food and its impaired quality of it ads plenty of calories. Think about sugary drinks. The whole world knows that one can of soda usually has at least eight spoons of sugar. Okay, maybe now manufacturers are more innovative and have different sweeteners that are worse.

Harm from artificial sweeteners

Because artificial things are unfriendly to the body, look at animals. Dogs and cats become fat because we want to express our love for them and feed with everything that animals ask. Have you seen the pleading eyes of your furry friend when you took ice cream from the freezer? How can you stand away and not feel guilty indulging just yourself? Why do I talk about it?

Because of all these things that look innocent, their usage leads to obesity. Empty calories do not give the body vital nutrients. The body craves it. It is a vicious cycle, which we can break with the help of Spirulina. Having Spirulina as the nutraceutical food you will provide for vital body nutrients. You will have calories used for energy and the body’s building blocks.

Fascinating story

You do not need fat around your belly or waist. It happens when empty calories from junk food go the storage in the shape of fat. Read the story about this guy. He won his war using a will and calculator in his brain. He does not need many pizzas and bottles of soda. Now he can go to the gym and pick clothes which look good on him. Another guy won his fight too, but it took him longer to understand what was going on.

Benefits of Spirulina

Benefits of Spirulina
  • Spirulina has plenty of proteins. There is 85-95 digestion from the Spirulina.
  • Spirulina has few calories. Ten grams of Spirulina has only 36 calories. One egg contains 300 mg of cholesterol and 80 calories.
  • Spirulina is rich in vitamins. This blue-green alga has vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, pantothenic acid, inositol, and biotin.
  • Spirulina contains organically bounded minerals.
  • Spirulina contains iron. Its quantity makes Spirulina the thealthiest iron source.
  • Spirulina has plenty of pigments that help synthesize enzymes. Enzymes are proteins that participate in the body’s metabolism. However, enzymes vanish on high temperatures. Organic Spirulina serves best because the process is regulated to preserve all the best qualities of algae.
  • Besides enzymes, which help with the body’s metabolism, Spirulina contains a particular protein, which fights against free radicals. The enzyme is called superoxide dismutase (SOD).
  • Spirulina is low in sodium. Most foods have hidden salt and sugar inside them to taste better. The body does not need so much.
  • Spirulina contains 225 mg of essential fatty acids. These acids are crucial for cholesterol level normalization. Essential fatty acids are precursors for hormone compounds called prostaglandins.
  • Fatty acids in Spirulina come in linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is a precursor for hormones that control functions such as blood pressure. Have you seen an obese person with low blood pressure?
  •  Spirulina contains trace minerals such as germanium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, calcium, and manganese.

How does Spirulina help with weight loss?

Taking Spirulina, you do not crave vital nutrients. More in detail, your body does not need nutrients. We eat plenty of junk food because it is full of empty calories without the necessary materials for the body to function well. You can not build the house on marshmallows; you need steady bricks and good wood.

We take our bodies for granted. Here we make big mistakes, especially if we do not care what we eat, what we drink, and how we act.

Spirulina has plenty of nutrients and few calories

There are plenty of diets, but weight loss can be harmful, and the weight comes back. Why? The body is intelligent and requires resources to survive. If you give good stuff such as Spirulina, you will not gain weight.

Spirulina has few calories

You will be energetic, without additional pounds, and with improved self-esteem. I know Spirulina is not tasty, but you can improve the taste.

You can put it in a smoothie, which consists of vegetables. Adding some cacao powder and stevia, a natural sweetener will have a pleasant experience.

Why do I not offer fruits? Fruits usually have plenty of sugar. Of course, it is a natural thing. However, when you are obese, you do not need to put additional pressure on your pancreas and liver.

Conclusion

You can lose weight with Spirulina. Remembering that one guy in Japan lived 15 years eating only Spirulina, you can deal with that few weeks. Consult with a health practitioner regarding your health. People who are not dangerously obese will benefit from Spirulina. However, maybe you need additional sources to support your body during the transition.

The supplement bundle from Dr. Carolyn Dean is an excellent way to get all the necessary elements and feel good. You can take a look here.

Fascinating Alga For Weight Loss and Management

May 27, 2018 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Spirulina is a fascinating alga for weight loss and management. These small tiny algae forms synthesize high-quality concentrated food more efficiently than any other algae. Spirulina is 65 to 70 percent complete protein. All essential amino acids are in perfect balance. Besides it, Spirulina contains excessive concentrations of nutrients – chelated minerals, pigments, amino acids, vitamins,  complex natural plant sugars, enzymes, and trace elements.

All nutrients assimilate easily.

Spirulina’s background

  • Spirulina is a single-celled alga
  • Sizes are from 0.5 millimeters and more significant. You can see it with the naked eye.
  • Spirulina has prolific reproduction capabilities, allowing it to grow artificially in fresh-water ponds.
  • The color of Spirulina is from pigments. Chlorophyll gives a green and phycocyanin blue tint to the alga.
  • Spirulina thrives in warm waters. The ideal temperature is from 32 to 45 Celsius. It would be approximately 85 to 112 Fahrenheit.
  • Spirulina grows in an alkaline environment, which ensures high hygienic levels of the product.
  • Spirulina is one of the cleanest, naturally sterile products grown in nature.
  • Spirulina grows in high temperatures and can preserve all nutrients that are active and beneficial for the body. Think about one hundred Fahrenheit. It is sweltering. Spirulina algae enjoy it and could provide you with high-value nutrients.
  • There are thirty-five species of Spirulina that have grown in several alkaline lakes in the world.

How could you benefit from Spirulina?

  • Spirulina provides excellent nutritional value. It helps to manipulate the body’s metabolism in several beneficial ways.
  • When you take Spirulina, you get all the nutrients for the body’s prosperous existence.
  • The body does not crave processed food because of all its nutrients. You want cookies and soda when you lack the necessary materials to survive and flourish. Unfortunately, sugar and chemicals cannot support and give building blocks for the body’s metabolism. Spirulina fills this gap with all packages of highly concentrated nutrition.

Spirulina’s power

Spirulina strengthens willpower and ensures dietary success in the weight loss journey. How does it happen?

The help from proteins

We have highly concentrated Spirulina proteins that are easily absorbed into the body. It contains polysaccharides that raise glucose levels in the blood.  We feel hunger when blood glucose or amino acids are at low levels. When blood glucose or amino acids are at low levels, we feel the need. Spirulina, full of rich nutrients, can fool the brain into thinking that the stomach is sated.

Keeping the blood sugar in the check

The Hypothalamus gland controls appetite, which is triggered by falling blood sugar. When we consume Spirulina, highly absorbed nutrients reach the bloodstream maintaining blood sugar levels in moderation without dropping or spiking up. The brain thinks that we are full and does not send signals to request more food.

Influence of amino acids

Spirulina supports the appetite-curbing mechanism. Everybody knows how it is difficult to leave a beautiful-looking piece of snack. We think that it will not hurt. Unfortunately, grams add to grams,  and it converts to pounds. It nicely sits on the most embarrassing places in the body: the abdomen and waist.

Here Spirulina comes to rescue us. We will not drop the portion of ice cream or run away screaming from a refrigerator. We only will feel sated and full. Who needs more to eat if you got everything that your body needs?

Doctors William Goldwag and Marquetta Hungerford of the Center for Holistic and Preventive Medicine in Stanton, California, adapted Spirulina to their weight-loss program. They saw empirical success with their patients.

According to Dr. Passwater, Ph.D., amino acid structure in Spirulina could directly impact levels of neurotransmitters, which control mood, appetite, and ambition in the brain. Brain chemistry can be changed thanks to Spirulina.

How does this miracle happen?

I call it a miracle because of knowing how it is difficult to resist the temptation of food.

How does it work? In the body,  amino acids are broken down during digestion. Then they are resembled by their metabolic processes to build human proteins.

However, some amino acids are straight used to synthesize brain hormones that influence alertness, sense of well-being, resistance to fatigue, energy levels, and mood. All these senses lead to one immense feeling: hunger.

When we get all amino acids from Spirulina, it keeps the body in a relatively equal balance. The brain chemistry remains stable. There are no terrible fluctuations toward any emotional extremity.

Let’s check the picture without Spirulina. When one or a few amino acids are present in excessive amounts, the competition begins. What does it mean? Synthesized brain chemicals start to predominate over others. When it happens, the mood can be distorted and manipulated.

Exceptional amino acids in Spirulina

Spirulina contains high values of phenylalanine and tyrosine. These two amino acids synthesize brain hormones, for instance, norepinephrine. This particular hormone can influence blood pressure and create nervous tension—amphetamines and stress stimulate the release of norepinephrine.

Scientists believe that it is a lot beneficial to the body naturally manipulate norepinephrine secretion through dietary changes. It can lead to long-lasting and less harmful results.

You would ask, what does norepinephrine do? The primary function of the brain hormone is to mobilize the brain and body for action. It means that if we use amphetamines which are artificial chemicals, the body can lose the ability to produce the hormone naturally.

Interesting facts about Spirulina

Do you know that the beautiful pink or coral flamingos could thank pigments of Spirulina for their appearance? Thousands of birds feast on Spirulina and other algae in Africa, Caribbean islands,  and South America. Their beaks are adapted for scooping off the algae from the bottom. It is a similar principle to what whales do. They filter water leaving plankton in their mouth and spitting water out.

How about scientific research on Spirulina? This alga is so fascinating, and why does nobody scream so loudly about the benefits of ice cream? Japanese scientists have shown scientific interest in the therapeutic effects of Spirulina. In the United States of America, Spirulina was the mysterious object of weight loss.

Thankfully, a resource comes out where you can find astonishing scientific facts about Spirulina. This book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay, is high-quality, peer-reviewed evidence about this miraculous alga.

Here is an excerpt from one page about Spirulina’s antibacterial activity:

  •   Spirulina contains vitamin A, which is essential in preventing eye diseases;
  •   iron and vitamin B12, useful helpful in treating hypoferric anemia and pernicious anemia;
  •  to alleviate premenstrual syndrome and an immune system stimulation.

Edible microalgae such as Spirulina are rich in protein, lipid, polysaccharide, fiber, microelements, and bioactive substances. It has been reported to have health and pharmacological properties that can help prevent and cure peptic ulcers and anemia, enhance immunity, and antitumor, antiradiation, and antipathogenic activities against microorganisms; it can decrease blood lipid some may act as antiatherosclerosis agents.

The source: Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E. Gershwin and Amha Belay, page 247.

I wanted to show that Spirulina is a real thing and is praised by scientists and doctors for their unique abilities, as you see from the excerpt above.

Wrapping up

Spirulina is an excellent source of vital nutrients. It is a high source of proteins. When spirulina has 65-71 percent protein, beef has only 22 percent.

You lose weight without struggling and craving sweets because algae provide the body with all the needed elements for metabolism.

How does it happen?

The body’s metabolism is balanced. All processes go smoothly and efficiently. Spirulina delivers excellent nutrition four for our bodily needs.

There is no need to store fat just in case you have a food shortage. It happens when we consume junk food and drink excessively sugary drinks. The body starves for nutrients, does not find them in processed food, and requires more. You or I go to check the next container of ice cream. Unfortunately, we will gain more pounds and pave the easy path to chronic disorders such as diabetes.

Spirulina is a twenty-first-century food. It is easy to harvest, store, and consume. Japanese philosopher Toru Matsui lived only on the Spirulina and other algae for fifteen years.

I could not survive only on Spirulina mentally for such a long time. However, I  experienced the benefits of this fascinating algae. The satisfaction of eating a moderate amount of dinner and the disappearance of cravings shows me that Spirulina is the “green gold of the future.”

Fascinating algae for weight loss and management of the body’s metabolism provide optimal nutrition. If you are nutritionally aware, Spirulina is an excellent choice for you.

How to use Spirulina?

Spirulina comes in the form of powder, tablets, and capsules. Spirulina is a food. Usually, people consume 6 to 10 grams of Spirulina. It would be 12 to 20 tablets daily. I used the powder or tablets. Pills work for me better because I can eat them like candies. They slowly melt in the mouth. The powder usually has a slight metallic taste that does not appeal to some users.

Some people like to add Spirulina to smoothies. The metallic taste disappears when some banana is involved or another sweet fruit.

Do you have experience with Spirulina? I would be glad to hear your thoughts about this fascinating alga. Please leave a comment below.

Spirulina And Weight Loss

March 25, 2018 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Spirulina and weight loss have close relationships. You would have, too, if you gave this miraculous alga a chance to show how it works.

Spirulina is a nutraceutical food. Spirulina provides vital nutrients to support the body’s metabolism and deliver all elements for proper and successful functioning.

Are you on a diet?

I know that diets suck because we need to stick to them and forget about the joy of eating. Unfortunately, everybody understands and accepts food differently. One hates food; another finds support and shelter from stressful situations. Somebody is addicted or likes to eat. Eating is a great thing, but we do not know how to stop eating or enjoy it without guilt.

For me, a diet is a chore and an unpleasant one. I know that I need to avoid particular foods I like, which makes me feel confused.

Many diets are on the top, and many that lost popularity today. After a few years, you will see that something similar will come up to the surface.

Diets are not fashionable

I hear that people would oppose my statement that foods are not fashionable. It is because of marketing and various services and product creation. However, it is a never-ending cycle. Why?

Spirulina and weight loss

We do not provide the body with what it needs. You know the disturbing story of junk food and sweets. People stuff themselves as Thanksgiving turkeys. Do they happy and healthy? For a moment,  yes, they are content and glad. After a few hours, they check that it is in the refrigerator or hidden somewhere deep in the kitchen pantry. Are they bad guys and girls? No. The only thing that is missing is the information about bodily needs.

Cravings and needs

Did you hear stories about expecting mothers who want strange things to eat, like chalk or sauerkraut? They do not know what is going know, but they feel the urge for a particular food or substance. You could laugh because it sounds funny.

Unfortunately, there is no fun when the mother’s body craves appropriate nutrition for her and her baby.

It is the same with us. We crave something and satisfy our hunger; we consume empty products of vital nutrients. I know by myself because I have an addiction to chocolate. It passes the time from time, but I am back again to the precious pieces of dark chocolate.

Would you ask what is going on? I lack some of the nutrients. When I use magnesium and Spirulina, I leave the chocolate alone. When I skip my dose of these nutrients, I am back again to this habit.

It is nothing wrong with enjoying chocolate or other food. Unfortunately, I do not know the limits. When I see some friends around, they have the same experience, just with different things.

How can we change the situation?

People know that something is going wrong. They see the increase in size and some signs in the behavior. They know that something is going on. Who wants to be big and experience embarrassment in school or on the job?

The answer is that the solution always is. We need to search for a reply. If something does not work, look again.

Giving the body what it needs is the best way to stop cravings and endless torture with various diets. The body is not stupid. It is not a machine. It is a living thing. If our brain is in a fog thanks to the lack of nutrients and cannot correctly sort answers, it does not mean that it is the end of the world.

How does spirulina work for weight loss?

Spirulina contains all vital nutrients for proper body functioning. It means that we will not crave processed food or doughnuts. We overeat and gain weight when we choose the wrong products that do not truly satisfy the body.

Eating pleasure is a momentary thing. It disappears after a few minutes or hours. Our body is left with the overload of chemicals from junk food and the urge to miss nutrients. We eat again and again to satisfy the requirements of the organization. Unfortunately, there is no success around. You can see results in the streets and malls where prominent people struggle to move around. Of course, they do not show it. They seem happy. Do you believe it?

Okay, back to the Spirulina. This blue-green alga is rich in vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and proteins.

Benefits of Spirulina

  • Proteins in Spirulina are easily digestible. Cell walls are tiny and composed of soft mucopolysaccharides. There is 85-95 protein digestion from the Spirulina.
  • Ten grams of Spirulina has only 36 calories. The large egg yields 300mg of cholesterol and 80 calories.
  • Spirulina contains vitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, folacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, and inositol.
  • Spirulina contains organically bounded minerals.
  • Spirulina is the wealthiest iron source.
  • Spirulina contains trace minerals such as magnesium, calcium, manganese, copper, zinc, selenium, and germanium.
  • Spirulina is low in sodium. It is an excellent option for people who are on the salt-restriction diet.
  • Spirulina contains essential fatty acids, which are vital for cholesterol normalization. These fatty acids are precursors for hormone compounds called prostaglandins. Ten grams of Spirulina includes 225 mg of essential fatty acids. These acids come in linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid(GLA). GLA is the precursor for hormones that control many functions, such as blood pressure. Inflammation, cholesterol synthesis, and cell growth. Besides Spirulina, you can find GLA in mothers’ milk, oil extracts of black currant, borage seeds, and evening primrose.
  •  Spirulina is rich in pigments. Pigments help synthesize enzymes that are necessary for the body’s metabolism. However, enzymes are sensitive to temperature. It means junk food does not have them. It is one of the reasons why we crave nutrients.
  • Spirulina contains enzymes that are catalysts for specific reactions in the body. One particular enzyme, superoxide dismutase( SOD), fights against free radicals and protects against aging.

How does Spirulina help with weight loss?

Spirulina and weight loss

When you take Spirulina, you get all the vital nutrients. You do not need to chase various diets. You will maintain weight which is best to your nature as you are supposed to be, before moving on to foods with empty calories and nutrients.

In his book Earth Food Spirulina, Robert Henrikson shows one study where people got six tablets per day and lost 3 pounds after four weeks. You would tell that it is nothing if you want to lose some of the weight drastically. However, it is a way without harm. You get all the nutrients. You feel satisfied without craving any food, and you are still losing weight.

Sometimes I think that Nature is more brilliant compared with us. Flamingos consume algae and spirulina their whole life. Look at them and how they are in shape and gracious. They do not worry about weight loss because they get all the needed nutrients.

Conclusion

Spirulina is a big help in losing weight. Spirulina and weight loss are interconnected. Because of that, you get a supplement that is low in calories and full of nutrients. Spirulina works without side effects and helps to stay away from junk food. Your body will be thankful for the opportunity to get nutrition which is vital for proper functioning.

Why do we need minerals?

ReMyte is an electrolyte solution. The body can not make these twelve minerals. We need to get nutrients from food. Sadly, vegetables and meat or poultry do not contain enough vitally essential minerals. Why? The soil was depleted. Most farmers do not fertilize the soil with minerals. They want to get more crops using chemicals. It is suitable for my wallet, not for the well-being of me or you.

ReMyte consists of stabilized pico-ionic ions that reach cells without effort. They are so small and maintained that the effect on the body is immense. We get minerals instantly, which work synergistically.

Benefits of ReMyte

Electrolytes in ReMyte dissolved in body fluids. ReMyte benefits the body in ways such as

  • Activating muscle and nerve cells
  • Regulating and affecting the body’s metabolism
  • Helping solve many problems associated with chronic diseases
  • Aids for the immune system
  • Boosts and enhances hormonal and nervous systems
  • ReMyte contains six minerals that activate the thyroid

Electrolytes are vital for professionals in sports. Stress, sweating, and muscle work deplete minerals. To restore electrolyte balance in the body, we must get all mineral complexes.

ReMyte comes in a liquid form.

  • Help create perfect cells

RnA Drops give new information to RNA. RNA influences DNA via tuning chromosome 14. This process allows and prompts the replication of intact cells.

Interestingly, DNA improvement lets it replicate all 144,000 double strands without obstacles. What does it mean?

Words from Dr. Dean

When our DNA arrives at 144,000, our new cells are complete, as they should be, without genetic defects.

Interestingly, RnA Drops are natural food, which includes baker’s yeast with its uridine component. RnA Drops contain an overpowering biological sugar, which helps create perfect cells, lysine and other amino acids, and phosphorus. Phosphorus is essential for life. It is found in our body’s RNA and DNA.

RnA Drops have shown an effect on

  •   Boosting energy
  •   Balancing blood sugars
  •   Adjusting appetites
  •   Reducing the impulse for cigarettes, smoke, sugar, and alcohol
  •   Improving the mood, skin, and hair

The feedback from customers is highly favorable. They forgot allergies and the adverse effects of fast food. The football player who had injuries during his fourth and first years at high school and college got well after using RnA Drops.

What fascinates me is that this remarkable product is natural food. Of course, RnA Drops work at the cellular level, and it takes time to show progress. However, the results are astonishing.

How To Get Ready For the Holiday?

November 27, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

How to get ready for the holiday? The holiday is supposed to be the best time when we can relax, experience something new or spend time with family or friends. The funny thing is that the holiday can be a nightmare for many people.

People who travel get jet lags. With the time difference and excitement, seeing friends and family can throw off balance.

Somebody who waits for guests can be exhausted after food preparation, decorating the house, and sorting things out, such as gifts, seating places, or picking clothes for the rest of the family.

Making plans, having additional help and backup if something unexpected happens, and having natural remedies for relieving stress and troubles with an excess of tasty food, will help take pressure dealing with holidays.

Make a list

Having a list of things to do, helps immensely. It brings peace to mind.

Sometimes people want to make the holiday perfect. It is understandable, but the preparation can significantly affect everybody who overestimates themselves.

Making things simple works a long way. Dividing tasks between family members or friends would take plenty of responsibility for somebody who wants to prepare for the holiday in the best way possible.

The list helps visualize and get the bigger picture of what is happening. If you forgot something, you would write it down. When you finish or accomplish the task, you cross it and will do the next one.

The list provides stability. The holiday must be a joyful time, not a crazy one.

Planning the time

Having free time before the final day when guests gather is a blessing. We can take of ourselves, gather thoughts, and rethink activities and tasks. When we have time, we can relax and meet guests with a smile.

Of course, not everybody has the luxury of preparing food or decorating a house or apartment. People work, take care of other members or go to school. In this case, the list and careful time planning will also help.

You can buy the prepared dish, make the salad, improvise with ingredients, and have some dessert before the holiday. Nowadays, there are plenty of good choices from stores such as Trader Joe’s. Everything is tasty and affordable, and it can stay a few days longer until the holiday.

Having remedies at hand

It is not a secret that people consume too much food and alcohol during holidays. It puts a burden on health. Who feels the holiday spirit when the head spins around and the rebellious stomach rejects the best piece of food?

Herbal tea, such as chamomile or green tea, helps smooth the little bit of turmoil in our bodies.

Taking ReAline capsules, vitamin C helps remove toxins and waste from the body.

The sauerkraut soup is a longtime remedy in Europe. It helps digestion and hangovers.  Spirulina provides support for the liver during the time of overeating and overdrinking.

Conclusion

The holiday is the time to celebrate, not exhaust ourselves. People can have fun with simple things such as warm food, warm smiles, and long, meaningful conversations. The holiday is to celebrate and relax. People are the most important. Paying more attention to them can clear a lousy mood if the ham is too spicy or the cake loses shape.

Chemical Components in Spirulina

May 15, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Chemical components in Spirulina provide nutritional value for everybody who consumes it. Flamingoes and human beings benefit from nutraceutical Spirulina.

Tiny algae, an enormous help

Scientists point to three broad categories of nutrients found in Spirulina. It means that this tiny alga has more benefits than we can imagine.

Chemical components in Spirulina

Macronutrients

Proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates

Minerals

  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Calcium
  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • Selenium

Micronutrients

  • Provitamin A ( beta-carotene)
  • Riboflavin
  • Cyanocobalamin
  • Alpha-tocopherol
  • Alpha-linoleic acid
  • SOD
  • Phytopigments

Phytopigments in Spirulina contain chlorophyll, C-phycocyanin, and allophycocyanin. These phytopigments, such as C-phycocyanin and allophycocyanin in the structure, are similar to bile pigments such as bilirubin. Is it no wonder when mother nature provides us with nutraceutical food such as Spirulina?

Chemical components in Spirulina

For example, iron is biologically available and easily absorbed in the intestinal tract.

Toxicology of Spirulina

According to the authors of the book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health,” …studies on the acute, subchronic, and chronic toxicity and mutagenicity of Spirulina have revealed no specific body or organ toxicity or genotoxicity.”(159)

Flamingoes, people who live by the lake of Chad, ate Spirulina and other algae for hundreds of years. They are okay. How can Spirulina, certified as an organic food supplement grown on specialized farms, be dangerous?

The importance of Spirulina

Spirulina is a nutraceutical food. Chemical components in Spirulina give humans and all living creatures enormous benefits.

Antioxidant activity and antitoxic effects, such as protective effects against toxic damage such as hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity, testis toxicity, cardiotoxicity, and ovary toxicity, are reported in the studies of Spirulina.

The book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health describes various therapeutic utilities of Spirulina.

Medical research has found that Spirulina, thanks to the excellent chemical composition of nutrients, can help solve many health problems. Diabetes, arthritis, anemia, cancer, and other diseases are eased by supplementation of Spirulina.

Rich chemical components in Spirulina

Researchers compared chemical components in Spirulina with Chlorella, Cell Tech Alpha Sun(blue-green algae), barley green, and wheatgrass.

They found out that Spirulina is a winner in all categories. For example, Spirulina contains 23000 IU, Chlorella has 5550 IU, Tech Alpha Sun 13340 IU, barley green 5200 IU, and wheatgrass 6608 IU.

You can find Gamma Linolenic fatty acid just in Spirulina. The rest of the green superfood does not have at all.

These five green superfoods are nutritious but differ in the amount and intensity of chemical components.

The conclusion

I do not understand why Spirulina is less popular than hamburgers or soda. We would always be in shape, feeling good, and without worries about chronic diseases. Of course, there are exceptions everywhere, but if somebody would tell you that Spirulina has no value or is toxic, please read Christophers Hills‘ book The Secrets of Spirulina. Christopher Hills mentioned the story of Toru Matsui, the Japanese philosopher who lived on microalgae for 15 years. How about it?

We do not need to be regularly eating Spirulina. We need variety. However, we can win a lottery by adding this miraculous alga rich with chemical components in Spirulina. Her name is peace of mind.

The human body quickly absorbs spirulina. Spirulina is the form of iron that light reaches the intestine and travels through the bloodstream to cells. Spirulina is the best iron supplement.

Why do we need iron for our bodies?

Iron is essential for red blood cells. The iron sits in the middle of hemoglobin, a quaternary structure. Without iron, the oxygen could not travel to the tissues, organs, and cells through the bloodstream from the lungs.

Iron forms complexes with molecular oxygen in hemoglobin and myoglobin.

Iron participates with enzymes dealing with cellular respiration, oxidation, and reduction in plants and animals.

Iron in tissues, hemoglobin, bone marrow, blood proteins, and muscles can find iron. It is a more complicated process, but I want to show that iron is vital for the human body.

Spirulina is the best iron supplement

Spirulina is a source of iron. Spirulina contains the most significant amounts of iron. Anemia is when individuals lack iron in their bodies, especially in the blood. Hemoglobin contains iron. Hemoglobin carries oxygen in the blood to tissues, organs, and cells.

When levels of iron are low, anemia occurs.

The book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health presents two studies regarding Spirulina supplements.

The group of girls of age group between 18-22 were anemic. After one month of Spirulina supplementation significant increase of hemoglobin levels were recorded.

Thus, it is clear from this study, that suplementation of 5 g of  spray -dried Spirulina powder to anemic adolescent girls for a period of 30 days had a significant effect on iron metabolism, as is evident by the improved hemoglobin levels, and can be effectively used to combat iron- deficiency anemia, which is widely prevalent in the world.

The second study was done with preschool children in India. The same book, Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, describes this study in detail.

Researchers provided 1 g of spray-dried Spirulina daily for 50 days. This Spirulina contains the highest available form of iron. Scientists recorded that hemoglobin levels increased significantly in preschool children.

Spirulina is the best iron supplement. Spirulina is quickly digested and absorbed. According to scientists, hemoglobin levels in the blood improve profoundly when consistently consuming Spirulina.

How to Keep the Liver Safe

March 26, 2017 By Nemira 13 Comments

The liver is a vital organ. When we lead a healthy life, we know how to keep the liver safe. Liver functions are detoxification, metabolism participation, glycogen storage, protein synthesis, hormone production, and decomposition of red blood cells.

Spirulina is the source of antioxidants, phytonutrients, Vitamin A and E, and essential GLA. These nutrients can help cleanse human bodies and provide radical scavenging, antiviral, anti-inflammation, and hepatoprotection capabilities.

Liver detoxifies pollutants

The liver continually detoxifies harmful substances—drugs, junk food, full of chemicals, and alcohol filtrated through the liver. The liver cleans blood coming from the intestines and sends it back to the cells. When the liver stops, the body shuts down quickly. Dirty blood toxifies the body. Organs and tissues suffer.

The alcohol makes liver fat

Fatty liver is the consequence of chronic liver disease. The fat in the liver can exceed more than 5 percent. Additionally, insulin resistance and enormous alcohol consumption lead to fatty liver. Alcohol intake can lead to liver inflammation and alcoholic cirrhosis. No fun, yes?

How to keep the liver safe?

The liver is capable of disposing of alcohol without harm. The amount of consumed alcohol must be 3 ounces per hour. The liver filters the alcohol, breaking it down into substances. The liver uses enzymes to break down alcohol. The supply of proteins helps the liver to process alcohol. Proteins participate in the process of breaking down alcohol.

The methionine, the amino acid, constitutes protein. Amino acids take part in cell structure and protect liver cells from poisoning by alcohol.

One way to protect the liver is to eat plenty of proteins. The next move is to avoid junk food, unnecessary chemicals, and overconsumption of alcohol.

The fatty liver

The fatty liver accumulates an excess of fat. Unfortunately, a fatty liver can lead to cirrhosis.  We can keep the liver safe by taking proteins. Fortunately, the Spirulina is a rich source of proteins. The algae are the source of antioxidants, phytonutrients, Vitamin A and E, and essential GLA. These nutrients can help cleanse human bodies and provide radical scavenging, antiviral, anti-inflammation, and hepatoprotection capabilities.

Why are proteins important?

Entirely 70 percent of the liver is protein. Enzymes that participate in metabolism and detoxification are derived from protein. Analytic functions happen smoothly when the liver has a supply of proteins.

Spirulina influences the outcome of fatty liver

Christopher Hills, Ph.D., S.D. wrote about the positive effects of Spirulina a  few decades ago. He cited the jobs of scientists from Japan. C. Hills advised taking Spirulina when somebody drank too much alcohol.

In the book Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, researchers point out that.

Spirulina also attenuates alcohol-induced fatty liver through ALDH activity, which is inactive in subjects intoxicated by alcohol, especially in Asian populations.

Apparently, Spirulina facilitates alcohol metabolism through enhanced clearance of accumulated aldehyde, which may increase susceptibility to alcoholic liver disease (ALD), such as fatty liver and fibrosis.(133)

ALDH is an aldehyde dehydrogenase. ALDH is the enzyme derived from proteins, which helps break down alcohol.

The aldehyde is a product of alcohol oxidation. Aldehyde is a harmful substance. When the liver can not filter alcohol, the aldehyde poisons the body. Headaches occur, and vomiting and stomach pain bother drunk individuals.

How to keep the liver safe?

According to Christopher Hills, P.H. D, S.D., if fatty liver is not appropriately treated, it can turn into cirrhosis.

Poor diet, viral infections, and excessive drinking are common causes of liver diseases.

Spirulina is a perfect source of proteins and vital nutrients that keep the body in good shape. If you are interested in Spirulina supplements, you can look here. We can learn how to keep the liver safe by reading books written by doctors and scientists. The breathtaking book is Spirulina in Human Nutrition and Health, edited by M.E.Gershwin and Amha Belay. This book is a comprehensive source of scientific data about the importance of Spirulina. Scientists show how to keep the liver safe using the nutraceutical product Spirulina.
