Ways Educate Yourself

Education is the action or process of educating or of being educated. Also: a stage of such a method is the act of teaching. This description is from the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Ways to educate yourself are various. How do you describe this term? Overall, what do you think about the importance of education?

After finishing school and college, many are happy with their jobs, families, and lifestyle. We believe that we reach everything that guarantees the safety and shelter of our children and retirement plans. It is a complete untruth. Everything can change in a few seconds. Companies can go bankrupt; accidents happen, health questionable, etc. I do not want to scare you, but I  want to awaken you so that you can see a more extended, broader perspective on your life. When educated, we have more options and possibilities to choose the best for us.

Effect on human beings


What kind of impact do we leave on them? Thinking everything will be as planned is like putting your head in the sand and pretending nobody sees you. We create the path and example for ourselves and future generations with our behavior and attitude toward everything that happens. Ways to educate yourself are countless.

Let’s think about the scenario if something changes in our lives. It can be a housewife college student who does not like his profession. It can be the people after retirement, brokers, or attorneys who hate their jobs. It can be anybody. It was me, by the way, too, in the same company.

If we know only one subject, our chances of survival and prosperity are slim. Of course, it is different if we are experts in our area. We do not have so-called competition.  The game is not good because creating jobs and accomplishing ideas takes energy.  When we think about how to be the best in our desired area, we improve ourselves by educating, creating, exploring, and innovating. We like what we do.

Ways educate yourself


To reach this status, we need to educate ourselves — there are many ways to get the knowledge required for our development. We can go to online courses, read books regarding topics, and reach for mentors or people who concluded significant results in these areas. Books and references are excellent sources of knowledge. There are thoughts and discoveries of the most prominent word thinkers. Of course, we need to choose books in the areas where we want to improve ourselves. Why? Because we do not have time to read all the books written. Focusing on that is essential for us; it lets us be professionals in our fields and stand out.

Mature for Success

Success will love us if we follow the universal rules. Are you mature for success? Luck, education, and hard work are crucial pillars of our lives. Unfortunately, we cannot expect to be successful without abiding by these rules or universal laws. Maybe it can happen for a short time, but sooner or later, we need to reconsider our strategy when reaching our goals.

Principles of universal laws


Everything in our Universe goes according to laws. I guess that you heard about the law of attraction. It means that we got what we preach. We rip the results of what we put in the soil. Positive things attract positive; negativity attracts negativity.

According to the leading expert Arthur James Ray, there are seven principles of Super Laws.

These Laws are:

  • The Power of Understanding
  • The Power of Mindset
  • The Power of Vision
  • The Power of Partnerships
  • The Power of Giving
  • The Power of Gratitude
  • The Power of Accountability

Following these laws and going in line with them, we can reach maturity to succeed. Of course, it seems natural to support it, but usually,  life gives us a lot of surprises and possibilities where we need to choose the right direction.

Specify your direction


The right direction is the best option to reach our goals. To accept it, we need to reconsider what we want. We need to see the bigger picture of what success is for us. I wonder if people who decide that earning more and having more things will make them successful. We need to be content in whole areas of our lives, no more, no less.

In his book Strangest Secret, the famous writer Earl Nightingale described that success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. How are you mature for success?

We need to know and understand what we want from life. The definition of success is different for every person. It is great when we can feel inside what’s right for us, what strives for us, and how we think about it.

Happiness in Small Details

Happiness in small details

Sometimes, we can not explain why we are bored, sad, or can not concentrate. I read that scientists offer to look for happiness in small details.

Small details such as interacting with positive people, being outside and enjoying the sunlight, walking in the woods, working in the garden, playing with children, and exercising without extorting ourselves can bring happiness and balance to our lives.

Spent more time in the sun


Natural light does wonder. When you drink coffee or tea, the sun’s rays in the morning prepare you for the day.  The sunlight is most useful in the morning. Famous Dr. Oz mentioned that during the time spent in the afternoon, the vitamin D concentration increases significantly. It is enough twenty minutes to be in this beneficial bath of rays.

Spend time walking


When we walk, we turn our attention to our surroundings, such as trees, grass, or people. We have some meditation. It helps us to forget our worries. It is enough for ten minutes or slightly more energy to be back, and the tension would disappear.

Surround yourself with cheerful people


Having a  circle of happy, active people is a necessity. When we can interact with friendly people, we feel relaxed and content. We are not afraid of confrontation. Good mood and positive thinking are infectious. It transfers from one person to another, creating a healthy environment. If it sometimes happens that nobody as a cheerful human being is around us, it is excellent to pick a movie comedy. It will enlighten your day.

Clean closet or table


Sometimes, we need to fix our beds after sleep, get rid of clothes that hung the whole year in our closets, and sort out papers on the table, and life will be bright. Feelings that we can take care of our surroundings are calming and assuring that we are in control.

Find time for exercises


Stretching and bending exercises, yoga, and martial arts release tension. You do not need the club, just a space where you can make simple movements for your body.

Plan your time


Planning what you will do now and later helps let go of tension and shifts attention to more essential things in the cleaning process. Peace of mind will visit you because you do not need to worry about what will be next. If something changes, it is better to let go or adapt to a different situation. Finding the solution to the problem makes the mind occupied. There is no time for a bad mood because we are busy with various things. No time for worries now.

Help others


Help others

Volunteering or helping other people is an excellent remedy for us. We do not think about ourselves; we think about others. We release energy, which allows us to accomplish various tasks.

Read good book


Interesting books transfer us to faraway worlds and give us friendship. Librarians can offer you any book that suits your interests.

Smile more


If you give smiles to people in your life way, you will get it back. The right attitude attracts beautiful things to you, such as new ideas for reaching your goals, new friends, and new possibilities.

Listen to music


Music is one of the best discoveries in the human world. Put headphones on, pick your favorite song, and look. Dancing is excellent too. You will be energized and happy.

Try new things


Just simple details such as picking another path to your job or friend, trying new food, or planning a trip to the closest village or city, aid to see your life differently and help appreciate what we do have. Remember, happiness in small details brings significant changes in our lives.

Time is our asset

Time is our asset, which gives us the ability to live our lives in the best way. All people, all living beings, have the same amount of time. Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Steve Jobs had the same quantity of time as everybody else. It is the only thing on Earth that can not be bought as an item.

People cannot buy time. It is not interchangeable and not reusable. Using time wisely and not wasting it, people can achieve remarkable results.

Best options to save time


It is excellent to analyze your habits and how you spend your time at first. One week for making remarks about what was done and how it is enough to see a picture. This analysis shows you where you can save or where mistakes are made. Sometimes we waste our time and ignore it. For example, a lot of time disappear looking for things lost somewhere. Our workplaces are full of various booklets, papers, and devices.

Time is our asset when we use it in a smart way


Clean the places where you were doing activities. It does not matter: cooking, playing, writing, or working on the project. Precious time is wasted looking for things which supposed to be somewhere, but we do not remember or do not know where they are. It is a joy when we find it, but we pay the price.

Do your job or duties first. A lot of people are beautiful and want to do everything by themselves. It costs our energy and time. Giving opportunities to other members of the family or co-workers in your job to do tasks, which are not yours, will provide you with a sense of peace. Why? Because working in a team everything goes faster, more efficiently.

Be responsible


Feel responsible for what is supposed to be done. If we clearly understand what we are doing, our goals will be accomplished.

Planning and having the exact date when everything is supposed to be done makes it easier for us to design our times. Deadlines are reasonable, but it is better to prepare themselves because rushing and worrying do not help our health.

Having time just for ourselves, which is given for contemplation, meditation, or just being with ourselves, makes us feel that we are in control of the most precious asset: time. Time is our asset if we use it carefully and smartly.

Potency of Gratitude

How often do we give thanks for simple things such as fresh air, the ability to move, or having food on our plates? The potency of gratitude gives the ability to appreciate little things in life. Oprah said that tying shoes by yourself is a great gift. We rush from one point to another, forgetting what is most important: our lives.

Potency of Gratitude

We have a wish and ability to stop, look around, and give thanks to everybody and everything. It does not matter what it is. Just a  feeling that we have the precious gift to live here, learn and help each other as much as possible, to love all living beings, prepares us to be grateful for everything.

Benefits of being grateful


You would ask why we must be grateful when our neighbor has a fancy car and an enormous mansion. Sometimes we can be unhappy when rainy days do not stop. Our vacation time is spoiled because we do not have enough money to go somewhere in a warm climate.

The potency of gratitude


Being grateful means, we can be happy with everything we have now. We do not care about our surroundings, such as comparing colleagues or neighbors. We live our lives and care about our goals and dreams. They are unique to us because they are ours. We can focus because we know in which direction we go. Our attention is not divided. It serves just for us. Gratitude for everything gives us peace of mind. It creates positive thoughts.

As you know, positivity attracts other positive things, such as people or circumstances. We are relaxed when we are thankful. Our bodies and minds are in complete harmony because we have no tension.

Have a right attitude


Feeling lack or being jealous makes us tense and sensitive. I think you would like to smile more and reflect on your life and how to achieve or improve things than analyzing why my neighbor drives Ferrari. If you want it, you can make it. Work more, save more, or leave for one day and see how you like driving this car. Here is just an example.

Gratitude gives us freedom and peace of mind. We, being grateful, spread positive energy around us. At the same time, it attracts more valuable things in our lives. Why?  We create space with our positive thinking around us where we are ready for more practical things. If something happens, shrug it off, as Earl Nightingale told in Strangest Secret, and move forward.

Practice being grateful


It is excellent to remind ourselves of what we are grateful for daily. Maybe there are small things that make our lives better or more balanced. If you can have a friend or parents who support you is excellent. If not, such a place as the library can be a perfect shelter from negativity. You can find supportive librarians and books, which can be your source of knowledge forever. Parks or dog shelters can allow us to relax and enjoy the company of four-legged friends.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               If something happens, it is good to remind that it is temporary and will pass sooner or later. This habit, such as being grateful, will make a difference in our lives, such as peace and balance for our bodies and minds. It will improve our relationships with people. We will see more harmonious things and events in our lives. The potency of gratitude can open doors to peaceful living.

Proper sleep for everybody

Our Mother Nature knows better than we how to keep everything in balance. Proper sleep for everybody is essential for health. Night follows day; day follows night. This cycle lets living beings live in harmony. It seems that humans are the exception. Entertainment, hard work, and the usage of stimulants make a mess with our bodies and minds. In our genes is coded information about how do we suppose to live. Unfortunately, we would like to do everything our way. We see the consequences of it. Not so much happiness around us. It does not matter how hard we try to achieve everything. It means having good health, being productive, and enjoying family or friends’ company.

How good is the lack of sleep?


Scientists found that lack of sleep leads to obesity, heart disease, and risk of diabetes. This reality that we can not have a proper rest for everybody is a common thing nowadays. Anyway, it is right to question yourself, why does it happen? We want to achieve more and spend more time in clubs or at work, but everywhere,  the right balance is mandatory. Pretty soon, our bodies will rebel. Our concentration will be less sharp; activities will take longer to accomplish. There are some escape routes to being at peace with our bodies and minds.

Proper sleep helps people regain energy and vitality during the day, especially if people need to work mentally and endure emotional stress. During sleep, rejuvenation of the body begins, and our brain rests till the next day. Besides, sleep helps us stay younger and sharper.

Treat Yourself in a Good Way

I guess you wonder what I mean that you treat yourself in the right way. We are told that we need to love all people and that we are supposed to help everybody if they ask for something or need us. Nothing wrong is with it. Not so good is when we forget ourselves making other people’s priorities more vital than ours.

Treat yourself in a good way

Live balanced life


Later or sooner, when we forget ourselves, later or sooner, it shows in our relationships, bodies, and faces. Our productivity and ability to perform things slow down. Not having proper rest for yourself, eating as fast as possible, and trying to be pleasant for everybody take a toll on us. It is best when we get back what we gave to somebody. Because later or sooner, we will feel that someone is using us. It is not a pleasant feeling. It may be challenging to ask for help or schedule things to make time for yourself, but it is worth it. It contributes to believing that we are in control of our lives and can decide what suits us. Of course, people who surrounded us and used to have the ability always to be rescued will be disappointed, but so what? Who cares? Treat yourself in the right way.

Can you be happy too much?


It is a lot better to be happy and content with yourself instead of trying to please everyone.  The world will spin, seasons will change each other, and Christmas will be here again and again. Unfortunately, we can not turn the clock back and change events and how we behave. Be happy now. It is never will be too much happiness around us.

Being yourself and taking good care of yourself pays you back. It will not be immediately. You will feel the energy; the mood is right. It is easy to take care of others because you are taken care of. It does not matter how you treat yourself. It can be the spa or lovely lunch, a trip to the resort,  new shoes, or spending time with your girlfriends or boys. Talking about things that are close to your heart is excellent too. There are so many groups where people with similar hobbies and activities meet each other.

Do not penalize yourself


It is easy to be mad at yourself if somebody was unhappy with you or if they made harsh remarks about something. Try to relax, breathing in and out. Remember, if you did your best what you could do, it is not your fault. We can not be responsible for others’ actions, for other people’s happiness. At the end of our lives,  we will be accountable for things and activities that we have done. It is best to forgive yourself and forgive others. Smile at yourself, tell yourself  I love you, and let everything go. Treat yourself in the right way.

Why Talk About Nutrition?

I guess nobody wonders why we need food. Why talk about nutrition? Not so many people have interested in what is in their tasty sandwich. Most important for us is that it would be delicious, crunchy, and fulfilling. It does not matter that we look for snacks pretty soon and dream about what will be at the dinner today. In different cultures,  people eat at other times. In most advanced countries, people do not have a chance to eat,  to have one hour at least to enjoy and savor what is on their plate.

Our habits and preferences


It is a  good saying: a pattern is not needed. Usually,  we stick to what works for us at this time. We fulfill our stomachs with food that is sometimes good for our taste buds but not our health. Why? Did you try to read what is on the labels? I do not think so because it is not easy to understand. These long descriptions of chemical ingredients are confusing. Usually,  we do not have time to translate these names into our language. Not everybody is a chemist. Do you know what Aspartame, Saccharin, Mycoprotein, or food dyes mean? I looked at what we have in our processed foods; my admiration for Nature’s gifts increased a few times. What do you prefer to eat? What is tasty, but you do not know from where it came? Why do we choose food?


Being alert to what we eat can help us stay in good shape long years ahead. I think that you heard that your skin looks better if you eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits and sleep well. It is the same with all our organs and body systems. Raw food is full of vitamins, minerals,  and enzymes. They help our immune system stay healthy and protect us from various intruders. The proper diet helps us to keep in shape physically and mentally.

There is so much information about how to be fit, many types of exercises, and advice on losing weight. I wonder why not start from the beginning when our plate is on the table, or we do stop buying fast food.  It is excellent to know what we put in our mouths unless we eat as ancient Romans. They tasted great meals consisting of meat, vegetables,  and fruits. Of course, their empire ended severely, but they knew how to enjoy life. Look what they created and left after themselves. Ancient Greeks left high culture for us. I do not think that they savored Twinkies.

Food is our savior,  the torture,  and pleasure. Food’s significance is an important thing. Eating for pleasure is one thing; to eat that to keep us energetic and in good shape is another thing. I wonder how many people know from where their food came?  Pleasing our taste buds is relaxing and gives us comfort. It takes a short time, and later we see that we crave this type of food again or are always hungry. Why? Usually,  if we eat processed food, we do not get enough great servants who make our lives easy. They are vitamins, enzymes, minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats.

Eating habits


It is vital to know how we eat and what environment we enjoy the food in. Sometimes we do not have time to eat. Swallowing in big chunks, we fulfill our weak stomach without needed preparation. In our mouth, food comes into contact with saliva and enzymes. Here begins the physical breakdown of food. It is moistened and, thanks to your teeth, can quickly go through the esophagus tube.

How we eat, when we eat, and what kind of people surround us are crucial. Solving problems sitting by the dinner table does not help your digestive system. It is best to finish eating before the sun goes down. Food digests in the stomach for a long time. Going to sleep with the entire stomach, you do not need to wonder why your eyes are smaller in the morning, your face is puffy, and your weight goes up.

When we do not chew our food properly, food is not prepared to go for the next step in the stomach. The digestive system needs to work lengthier and more robustly to digest food. Food passes through the digestive system and splits into small invisible particles. If our eating habits are inadequate, our food lacks needed nutrients, and we do not need to scratch our heads about why health is so problematic.

Nutrients help the immune system to prepare the body to fight against diseases. Food’s significance shows how much we depend on the quality of food.
