How to set a personal goal? A goal is an end toward which effort is directed. Every person has plans. To climb a mountain, create a new recipe, learn a new language, or dance, as in the Dancing With The Stars show, these examples are wants or goals. Goals make life richer. They lead from one point to another.

Follow your passion


Consider what your passion is. Who would you like to be? What kind of things do you want to have? Have a vision of your future. What you will be doing now will suit your time to come. Usually, people who love what they do reach satisfaction and rewards sooner compared with people who follow the conventional path. Everybody in this world has a passion. It does matter what it is. Belt making, music creation, model construction, sewing, or traveling can be your passion. You can make chocolate if you are crazy about it. It does matter how big the competition is; people will be attracted if you polish your skills and present your information or products. Nothing excites and inspires others more than an individual who likes what he or she does. Be one of them, and you will succeed.

Lay down ideas on the paper.


Pick a sheet of paper. Write down what you want. Besides, write what is needed to accomplish these ideas. Do you want to be a doctor? Go to the hospital to volunteer. You will see an environment, a natural field, where you look at how it seems. Prepare yourself for long hours of study. Do you want to be a dancer? It will be long and monotonous hours of repetition.

You can write any ideas that pop into your head. Some of them can be stupid or ridiculous. Some of them can be worth millions. It would help if you used the brain for exploration. It is a hidden source of ideas. Unfortunately, we do not use it entirely.

Take an action


Start doing things that lead to your goal. Go to school, read reference books, and volunteer in your wanted field. It is great to meet people who are experts in your desired field.

Conferences, Google groups, and various websites such as meetup.com give access to more solid circles of people who have already accomplished your necessary tasks. If you know what you want, strange coincidences happen. Somebody gives the book to read about your desired topic. It looks like the whole world goes to our aid with answers to your questions.

Surround yourself with people who have reached results in your desired area. If somebody achieves results in your chosen field, you are no exception. Of course, you will not be a ballerina who dances in the most prominent theaters if you are over forty. However, you can learn fundamentals and enjoy dancing in local groups. You can achieve your personal goal as long you know what you want and what inspires you.

When you reach your goal, go for another. You will be bored when you get your plan. You have already experienced it; now, you can climb higher towards new goals. You will see that it is easier to accomplish tasks that were before scary. It is called a simple word: the practice.

 Freedom for health is the most important thing on Earth. Without the freedom to be healthy and choose what helps us, we would lose the ability to enjoy life thoroughly. Health is an asset, a number one asset.

We do not understand the importance of health until something happens. We think that we know that is good for us and that we will get help, but there is plenty of evidence that there are plenty of dark corners where scary truths hide. Besides,  bad habits such as smoking, overeating, and unlimited alcohol consumption can disturb and catapult our lives in a different direction.

Be informed


The information from doctors, scientists, and researchers helps us use knowledge for our more excellent sake. Being informed will let us live fulfilling and healthy lives.

I see many people who suffer from obesity. Obesity is associated with diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pain, and low self-esteem. Nobody wants to be in this situation where you can not move freely, and your clothes do not look the best. Okay, we can skip the importance of clothes. Most important is our self-esteem and its impact on our health.

When we love, we do not eat our problems. We solve them. Sometimes, it can be an endless circle that damages our health. It will happen until we do not analyze our habits and behavior.

We think that all the information provided on TV is for our good. Unfortunately, most do not notice sentences where the voice speaks fast about consequences. The impression of appealing ads removes all honest thoughts about problems in the future.

Most of us do not have absolute freedom to find the real truth about what is good for us. We get information, but it is surrounded by false messages, which lead to problems.

However, the lack of proper knowledge stops us from making the right choices.

Health is the gift


Health is a gift. If we do not harm ourselves, our health will give us the freedom to live a rewarding life. I remember when Oprah Winfrey said on her show that she is thankful every morning for getting out of bed and tying her shoes.

Usually,  we do not think about how we are lucky. We can walk, talk, and hear. We can think and analyze situations. However, we stuck with the daily routine. Many people lack sleep. They do not eat properly. They consume food like pizza or snacks until they get home.

Energy, soda, and juice with plenty of sugar load our bodies with empty calories. If we knew how to preserve and cherish health, we would save money and time for better and more pleasant things.
