Beneficial Bacteria for the Human Body

November 16, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

When you hear the words beneficial bacteria human body, what first comes to mind? The gut? Yes, you are right.  The stomach is famous nowadays. Little friends and occupants of bowels share some fame too.

Beneficial Bacteria Human Body

You would think about what is disgusting. Not for me because I saw plenty of animal guts. Besides it, I experienced the benefits of a well-behaving microbiome, and  I was punished when I spoiled them.

What do I mean? Trader Joe’s Belgian chocolate, croissants, and plenty of bread from the bakery do not feel cozy in my gut. Why? Until now, I learned that enjoying these goodies in moderation is better, with very little restraint.

You would think, who cares about this bacteria? You would watch if you dug into this fascinating world.

I think about bacteria in the gut of individuals with character and the need to be told how to behave. If we did not control what we eat and care for our bodies, we would experience rebelling and turmoil from the microbiome.

Gut bacteria help digest and absorb food, keep the brain happy, lose weight, keep the immune system in shape, reverse allergies, and help with children’s growth and development

Foods’s influence

I knew that we are what we eat. It is right in every area of interaction with food. Researchers found out that gut bacteria can ferment fiber. From fiber, metabolites called short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are produced.

Interestingly, insulin-producing cells can sense SCFAs in the gut. It seems that these cells like it. Insulin secretion increases when SCFAs are abundant in the body.

What has it shared with the food? Oral probiotics such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and fiber intake nourish SCFAs-producing bacteria. The fermentation increases, and it leads to SCFA production.

According to scientists Jack Gilbert, Ph.D. and Rob Knight, Ph.D., the adaptation of diet and the usage of probiotics can make a difference in insulin secretion. It means less diabetes and more happy individuals.

The impact of beneficial bacteria on the human body

Microbes in the gut are responsible for our well-being. It means that  beneficial bacteria can

  •    affect mental health
  •   help lose weight
  •  boost  and shape the immune system
  •   affect growth and development in children
  •  improve digestion and absorption of food
  •  reverse allergies
  •  reduce ear infections
  •  help with diarrhea
  •  control the child’s weight after changing the microbiome
  •  lower levels of  chemical bisphenol A called BPA
  • help deal with depression

These benefits are just a part of the bigger picture. Why? Because scientists continuously find something exciting about gut bacteria. They see connections between the gut and the brain. They see microbiome involvement in celiac disease and diabetes.

Conclusion

It is okay to be exposed to the dirt. It is especially essential for babies and children. Microbes allow the body to strengthen the immune system and be healthy inside the gut.  The sterile environment is harmful because we do not learn how to protect ourselves from invaders. The body becomes resistant to foes and invaders due to contact with dirt. Children who have contact with dogs, play outside, and roll in the meadow or dig the soil do not become sick.

According to Jack Gilbert and Rob Knight, both are Ph.D., the dirt is good.

Do you have any thoughts? Please leave a comment below. I would be glad to answer.

Update from the source of McGill University

There is some excellent news about the benefits of bacteria in the gut. Scientists made the study with fruit flies. Do you know these disappointing creatures which pop from nowhere and quadruple every minute? These flies were fed with a combination of probiotics and an herbal supplement called Triphala. They found out that flies longevity increased by sixty percent, and protection from chronic diseases associated with aging was remarkable.

Satya Prakash, the professor of biomedical engineering in McGill’s Faculty of Medicine and senior author of the study, emphasizes the importance of microbiome health to the whole human body. Foods are metabolized better and more efficiently in the gut, thanks to the influence of probiotics.

You know that there is a connection between the gut and the brain. It is called the gut-brain axis. Brain activity depends on the quality of the microbiome. If we have healthy bacteria in the stomach, we do not experience irritable bowel syndrome, neurodegeneration, or depression.

Fruit flies have similarities with mammals at seventy percent regarding their biochemical pathways. There is a suggestion that a diet with antibiotics can benefit from a healthy and long life. Sounds nice.

What Is Inflammation In The Body?

November 12, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

What is inflammation in the body? Inflammation is a common root of many chronic diseases. Oxidative stress influences the beginnings of inflammation.

Types of inflammation

Types of inflammation are:

  • Normal inflammation
  • Abnormal inflammation

Normal inflammation

Healthy inflammation occurs when the body’s healing system reacts to a localized attack or injury. The process happens in one area. It starts here, is maintained, and is finished with healing here.

Inflammation could happen when a sudden injury to the skin from impact or burn affects a particular area.

Some changes occur together one by one. The heat and redness show the influx of blood to the affected area. The swelling happens because small blood vessels allow plasma to go to tissues. The pain follows. The immune system participates in the healing process. It takes time, but the inflammation disappears when the problem resolves. We can be disappointed when we have pain and redness or swelling. Fortunately, it takes a short time and a restricted area of inflammation.

Abnormal inflammation

Abnormal inflammation differs in space and time. When healthy inflammation starts in one place and ends simultaneously, abnormal inflammation can attack the whole body.

What is worst is that inflammation lets the immune system attack all cells. These powerful immune killer cells go after affected cells and healthy ones.

How do they work these killer cells?

The immune system has the best army in the world.  Immune cells have different tasks in the body and act according to the situation. Some enzymes could destroy cell walls and digest the vital components of cells and tissues.

Usually, when healthy inflammation occurs, the body is able to control the process. It deals with the consequences of impact or invasion in one place. When healing ends, the body stops control over the inflammation process because there is no need to take care of it.

What is wrong with abnormal inflammation?

The body does not control the abnormal inflammation. It spreads over all tissues and does not quit easily. The immune system participates in healing. Unfortunately, it could lead to autoimmune disorders when it does not get the command from the body on what to target and when to stop.

What does it mean?

Autoimmune disorders occur when the immune system attacks cells without a difference. Sick or healthy cells suffer from powerful killer cells. It can lead to:

  •  Discomfort
  •  Disability
  •  Failure of organs
  •  Irreparable damage to essential structures

For example,  type I diabetes is autoimmune from the start:

  •   The immune system starts an abnormal attack triggered by an unknown cause
  •  The beginning is early in life
  • Insulin-producing cells in the pancreas  destroyed

Rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus are autoimmune disorders.

What does trigger autoimmune reactions?

There are some origins, such as:

  •  Infection
  •  Toxic injury
  •  Stress
  •  Environmental issues such as air, water, and food pollution

New findings are causes of disorders

Dr. Andrew Weil states that doctors have a consensus about the triggers of some diseases.  Asthma, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease have components of abnormal inflammation.

Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) can start from microinflammation. It can be seen just with a microscope examining damage to the GI tract tissue.

Previously, other triggers were to blame. For example, cholesterol was responsible for atherosclerosis. Now doctors think that the damage was done at first by inflammation. Later on, cholesterol deposits can be a response to protect damaged areas covering defects.

First, abnormal inflammation occurs. Second, the body attempts to heal affected areas.

Regulation of inflammatory process

Before digging into this inflammation topic, I thought hormones are primarily for growth and fertility. Nope. Hormones take a respectable place in our body’s metabolism.

What do the control mechanisms of inflammation?

Prostaglandins and leukotrienes were responsible for the control of the inflammation process. Hormones work synergetically. Imagine a swinging pendulum. When you do not move it, the swing stays in one place. The balance was achieved.  Hormones work in the same way in the body. They interact and make sure that processes would not go wild.

Some of the hormones increase inflammatory activity; some of them dampen it. These hormones must be in equilibrium.

Interestingly, the same hormones which increase inflammation can trigger cells to proliferate. Other hormones that decrease inflammation can cease the abnormal division of cells.

What Does It Mean?

What does it mean?

It means that disrupted balance in hormonal activity can trigger inflammation and lead to nasty diseases.

Is there an escape from this misery?

Yes, it is. Education is the first thing that would help us make the right choices. Second, a fit lifestyle is a way to avoid significant problems and consequences from it.

Do you see a connection here?

According to Dr. Andrew Weil:

food choices we make can determine whether we are in a pro-inflammatory state or an anti-inflammatory one.

Hormones are prostaglandins and leukotrienes synthesized in the body.  The body uses polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), essential nutrients. We do not make these vital nutrients. We must get them from food.

There are two types of PUFAs:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Omega-6 fatty acids

The demand for these fatty acids is a constant and vital one.

Hormones made from omega-6 acids intensify inflammation, and hormones produced from omega-3 fatty acids downregulate it.

Sources of fatty acids

Omega-6 fatty acids come from the fat of grass-fed animals, oil-rich seeds, and vegetable oils extracted from them.

Omega-3 fatty acids are found in :

  • Leafy greens
  • Walnuts
  • Flax seeds
  • Hemp
  • Soy oils
  • Canola oils
  • Sea vegetables
  • Salmon
  • Sardines
  • Herring
  • Mackerel
  • Black Cod
  • Bluefish
  • Fat from grass-fed animals

Nutritionists think that the balance between the consumption of omega-6 and omega-3 was stable in the past. When processed food takes over, especially in Western countries, this balance is disrupted.

You know about the fattening of animals and birds with hormones and antibiotics, keeping them in confined places. Vegetable oils heated. Snack foods provide omega-6 fatty acids. There is no place for omega-3. So what, you would ask?

Omega-3 fatty acids dampen inflammation. Period. If you do not get enough of these acids, your body cannot produce the right hormones that regulate inflammation. Do you see how it goes? It is a chain reaction. One thing leads to another.

Processed food disrupts the balance of hormones. It leads to inflammation. Inflammation is the root of diseases. No fun? Yes, I agree.

Again, there are words from Dr.Andrew Weil:

In a nutshell: you can reduce the risks of abnormal inflammation and diseases associated with it and shift your body from a pro-inflammatory to an anti-inflammatory state by increasing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, decreasing your intake of omega-6 fatty acids, and excluding from your diet the kinds of fat known to promote inflammation.

Are fats only to blame for inflammation?

I am sorry, but carbohydrates are responsible for inflammation too.

The chemical reaction’s name is glycation when proteins and sugar react. Glycation produces pro-inflammatory compounds. They are called advanced glycation end products (AGEs).

For me, it correlates with aging. AGEs promote inflammation through the deformation of proteins, cross-linking them.

The glycation could be measured. Doctors check blood levels looking for hemoglobin AIC. It is a form of glycated hemoglobin.

Knowing the numbers of glycation is essential. This process affects proteins and generates AGEs.

Do We Need To Be Afraid Of Glycation?

Typically people have low levels because the body’s defense mechanisms protect us.

How to choose wisely carbohydrate sources?

Learn about the glycemic index and glycemic load

  • Eat foods with a low glycemic index and glycemic load. Change snack foods with whole grains, beans, sweet potatoes, and other vegetables. Eat more temperate fruits compared with tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, or papaya.
  • Consume less processed food
  • Avoid fast food
  • Eat fewer products made with flour of any kind
  • Skip products made with high-fructose syrup.

Conclusion

Healthy inflammation benefits the body. At the time of impact, the body pulls all helpers and starts to take care of the confined area at a particular time. When the consequences of injury or invasion are removed, inflammation disappears.

Abnormal inflammation occurs when the body can not control the immune system, and defense mechanisms start to attack its cells.

The quality and origin of diet have a strong influence on inflammation evolution.  Watching the menu and changing lifestyles could enormously impact the quality of our lives.

If you have questions or would like to leave a comment, I would be glad to answer it.

Importance Of Leafy Vegetables

November 9, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

The importance of leafy vegetables is enormous, especially when obesity reaches the heights of the Swiss Alps. Nutrients in vegetables are vital because most individuals do not eat food rich in vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It leads to chronic disorders.

The importance of antioxidants

You can imagine what oxygen does to the iron. After some time, the piece of iron becomes rusty, and from the substantial portion of the metal, just a remembrance is left of what it was before. It is the same with our bodies.

Leafy vegetables have active ingredients that help to deal with oxidative stress. During oxidation, cells can die. Antioxidants in leafy vegetables prevent that

We are affected continuously by pollution, radiation, exposure to sun rays, acid rain, etc. Besides it, when we eat empty calories, so-called junk food, we do not get any protection against chemicals, additives, and preservatives.

Thankfully, leafy vegetables could be a real help, especially if we would drink smoothies. Eating vegetables as rabbits do takes plenty of time. Besides, it is not tasty. When we use the blender, we can add the banana or shredded coconut to improve the taste.  The blenders make the drink easy to digest and get vital nutrients.

According to Dr. Andrew Weil, people do not eat enough leafy vegetables. Plant-based foods must be changed over time. Variety counts and gives an array of different nutrients.

Importance of leafy vegetables

Leafy vegetables help fight against oxidative stress. The oxidation can harm cells by taking electrons. When the cell is not complete, it ceases to function correctly and dies.

Plants contain phytonutrients. They are protective compounds. People must have a habit of eating plant-based food, especially leafy green vegetables. We would defend ourselves against the ravages of oxidative stress.

Our grandparents knew that they talked about telling us: eat your vegetables.

What Is The Magic Of the Brain?

November 6, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

The brain is a command station, the main port of thoughts, decisions, and dreams. What is the magic of the brain? The brain is capable of everything if we give the freedom for the mind to expand.  What do I mean?

You heard about cases where people were hurt or born without full capabilities to operate freely and easily. The brain is the place where our mind resides.

You know that your power and weakness come from the mind. The mind can make various decisions. Our minds can overturn mountains and give up seeing little mice.

Without the brain, the mind does not exist. The brain must be equipped with the best nutrients and have the proper time to relax and sleep. You can try many techniques such as meditation, yoga, and hypnosis; however, the brain cannot perform well without the appropriate nutrition.

The brain was capable of everything. It gives the mind the ability to accomplish tasks that would be impossible if we did not provide the proper nutrition.

You would ask how about heroes such as Victor E. Frankl. He was a prisoner in the camp Nazis and survived. He used his mind to keep himself in check despite terrible situations. However, I think he was an exceptional human being who was a host of his mind. His mind overcame the struggles of his body.

Nowadays, not so many people can show the strength of will, positivity, and willingness to live at any price.

Why does it happen?

Not everybody can be as influential in situations as Victor E. Frankl was. Heroes as he inspires millions of people. Unfortunately, many of us would give up after a few attempts to rebel or change a situation.

The brain works for everybody, especially if we have goals and dreams in mind. A properly functioning brain could help more find solutions and ways to reach wanted destinations.

Can we train and renew the brain?

Absolutely.  The brain, as the physical organ, can grow up new cells. The mind can learn new things at every age. It does not matter if you are sixteen or seventy. Earl Nightingale, the famous broadcaster and writer, emphasized the importance of the mind.

He told me that there are no limits. Of course, if you want to be a pianist after a couple of lessons, you would be disappointed. Everything takes practice, but it is doable. Here the magic of the brain holds. It is the ability to transform ourselves into the people whom we want to be.

Science shows that cells of a brain can grow at any age. Specialized cells, called progenitor cells, can produce new adult cells.

Real findings of the existence of these progenitor cells have shown up since 1944. More and more scientists discovered that different parts of the human brain could grow new cells. Is not it exciting, is not?

Brain magic places

These places in the brain are the hippocampus and subventricular zone.

The hippocampus resides in the temporal lobe. This area is essential for emotions and memory. When people are injured in the head, and some cells die, cell growth in the hippocampus occurs.  It is absolute magic, is it not?

The subventricular zone is located where two ventricles full of specialized fluids, one on each side of the brain, reside.    “The new brain cells grow outward from the lining of these pools into the brain.”Dr.Estelle Oby Goldstein, a board-certified psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist|researcher in Orange County, California, USA.

Proper nutrition is vital for the brain, especially for these new cells. I believe that everybody wants to have a functioning brain, a clear mind, and the ability to perform in the best possible way.

Scientists now use a new term: nutritional psychiatry. Researchers found out that the right nutrition helps the brain function and recover. It is an alternative way to psychotropic drugs.

Conclusion

What is the magic of the brain? The brain’s magic happens when we recover after unpleasant situations with the help of the birth of new brain cells. We can return to life and live fully. Researchers progressed in brain exploration. The proper nutrition and dietary food supplements such as EMPowerplus Advanced formula help people in cases when nobody can help.

Why Are Organic Products The Best Choice?

November 4, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Why are organic products the best choice? Organic products have more nutrients than products containing chemicals, preservatives, antibiotics, and heavy metals.

You would scratch your head and say that your grandparents lived till 90 or 100. They did pretty well because they were agile, skinny, and busy until the end.

It is a different deal. Why? Generations before us lived in a cleaner environment and ate nutritious food. Farmers grew production without many chemicals as nowadays. Chemicals penetrate soil by spraying it using airplanes and machines. Nobody walks with a bucket of horse manure to help strawberries grow delicious berries.

I was shocked when I saw that strawberries were cut with a knife. These berries do not melt in the mouth when they come from farms. Did you pay attention that you must wash fruits before using?

It is the same as on cigarette packages: general surgeon warns about the danger of smoking. It is the same with production, infested with antibiotics and various chemicals.

Artificial ingredients in food

You see that soda drinks, candies, or cakes are colorful. Do you think that these dyes are natural? Nope. For example, there are aniline dyes.

  • Amaranth (red)
  • Bordeaux(brown)
  • Orange I (yellow)
  • Guinea Green (dark green)
  • Naphthol (yellow)
  • Tartrazine (yellow)

These artificial colors are derived from compounding various chemicals. For example, guinea green becomes a dye when chloroform reacts with benzene and aluminum chloride.

What is it, benzene? Benzene is from the distillation of coal. Motor fuel, the solvent for resins, rubber contains benzene. Are you the machine?

Chloroform puts people to sleep. Unfortunately, it triggers gastroenteritis.

Aluminum chloride is produced by heating aluminum with chlorine. Oil refineries used it for cracking oils. Using aluminum is dangerous because it correlates with Alzheimer’s disease, loss of energy, skin problems, constipation, and nausea.

I wonder who needs aluminum in their food? Unfortunately, you will not find answers on the packaged food and drinks. It tastes good and smells nice.

Artificial flavors

There are some of the artificial flavors.

  •  Caramel
  •  Citric Acid
  •  Cochineal
  •  Coca
  •  Cola
  •  Corn Starch
  •  Corn Syrup
  •  Dextrose
  •  Glucose
  •  Potassium Chloride
  •  Potassium Phosphate
  •  Sodium Citrate
  •  Saccharin
  •  Sodium Phosphate
  •  Salt
  •  Sugar

What do you think where these substances in products go? They spread in your body, making an impact on you. Do you need these chemicals? Do they protect you? One good reason I see is that we can be better preserved after the end and stay like mummies from Egypt forever and ever.

Why are chemicals not the best choice?

First, chemicals are unnatural to a body. We do not need heavy metals, preservatives, and antibiotics. A great show was on the Public Radio  Fresh Air show when  Maryn McKenna, the author of the book             Big Chicken: The Improbable Story of How  Antibiotics Created Modern Farming,  presented her findings on the usage of antibiotics in the poultry industry.

Plenty of dangers are lurking in the chicken meat. One of them is the resistance to antibiotics. You heard about the struggle in hospitals when medical personnel fight with bacteria. Unfortunately, stronger brands of harmful bacteria come out and show us who is here a host.

Many people go to heaven because these bacteria force them to give up. Antibiotics do not help you survive.

Cons of antibiotics

You would ask why. I can understand you because antibiotics are supposed to fight harmful bacteria and viruses and kick them out of invaded territories. Sorry, that is not the case. Antibiotics do harm everything because they kill good bacteria in the intestine. The consequences are not pleasant. The body becomes resistant to antibiotics, too.

The microbiome is the second brain, according to scientists. I agree with them because when I feast on chocolate, I crave more and cannot think clearly. That is too much, too much.

Chocolate is not an antibiotic but a sugary thing that spoils terrible bacteria and gives a lousy life to the friendly community of bacteria.

Can you see where do I go with my rant about chocolate and chemicals? I want to show you that organic food cannot harm you as conventional food does.

Take care of organic food

Usually, organic food is clean of additives, preservatives, and fillers. It is non-GMO. It means that animals and plants give you food in the same form as Nature created them.

There exist some dangers, such as preparation and handling of material. However, the primary source of organic food is good because it is free of chemicals.

Ways to contaminate organic food

You would ask, what do I mean about handling and preparation of organic food?

For example, you buy from the farmer’s market fresh vegetables. You wash them with water from the tap. Most of the city water is contaminated with fluoride, antibiotics, heavy metals, and so on. You see that traces of chemicals will be on your plate. Sometimes people use a cutting board which was used for raw meat.

It is the same with meat. Wrong temperature, tools used to cut fish or cheese, later applied for chicken or vice versus, can trigger contamination.

Luckily we can learn how to handle food. However, we can not influence what is inside packaged food. It is one way to escape this misery. It is a way to be informed and conscious of various choices.

Benefits of organic food

  • Organic food has more minerals, vitamins, and enzymes compared with processed food.
  • Organic food is free of chemicals, preservatives, and fillers.
  • Organic food replenishes, balances, and fulfills the body with vital nutrients
  • Organic food does not harm
  • Organic food gives energy
  • Organic food helps you stay fit without gaining weight

Conclusion

Organic food is the best choice to prevent disorders. Consuming food free of chemicals gives the body support and building materials for metabolism. The immune system can better protect us from various invaders. We do not have chemicals inside.

Organic food is the best choice for those who won’t feel well and lead meaningful lives.

What do you think about it? I would be glad to answer your questions and hear your thoughts about organic food. Do you have something more on your mind? Spill out. It will leave space for other ideas.

Who can benefit from EMPowerplus’s Advanced formula?

The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

The EMPowerplus Advanced formula could help individuals who have problems such as:

  •  Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • Bipolar
  • Autism
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Stress

For somebody who is always stressed and cannot be on vacation all time, the EMPowerplus Advanced formula could help to stay sane and accomplish tasks in the best possible way.

My experience

This formula works for me. Thankfully, I do not have the conditions mentioned above, except stress, which is a constant companion in many people’s lives.

Stress is useful when we need to run from dinosaurs or when somebody wants to take advantage of a purse or car. Adrenalin prepares us to run, and we can escape.

Unfortunately, where could I run if I needed to read a hundred articles, a few books, and take care of five websites? I try my best to eat simple food, get some rest, and adapt mindfulness practice into my routine. I decided to try EMPoverplus Advanced.

I know that minerals and vitamins play a vital role in our bodies. The brain is a command station that must be taken with care.  EMPoverplus Advanced formula supports the brain. Nutritional deficiency creates disorders. When our body gets all vital nutrients, we feel complete and balanced. It is the same with mental health.

After taking EMPoverplus Advanced, I felt energized and balanced. I use ReMag too at the same time. These two supplements go along perfectly. I can concentrate quickly and perform more tasks without long breaks.

Importance of EMPowerplus Advanced compounds

Vitamin A

Vitamin A promotes the healing and growth of cells. Vitamin A prevents many illnesses and diseases. Taking vitamin A mental health improves.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

Vitamin B1  participates in the production of acetylcholine, which is the neurotransmitter. Acetylcholine plays a role in the synaptic junctions of neurons.

Thiamine helps alcohol-dependent people with improving memory. Individuals who lack thiamine are prone to consume junk food and be anxious.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Vitamin B2 is the precursor for coenzymes, which are part of body energy production. Vitamin B2 helps with cell respiration and oxygenation.

Individuals deficient in riboflavin are prone to be dizzy and tired. Retarded growth in children and nerve damage can occur when vitamin 2 is insufficient in the body.

People become forgetful, unable to concentrate, and can be mildly confused.

Some researchers state that the lack of vitamin B2 can be associated with fibromyalgia.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

Niacin is the precursor to the coenzymes which participate in brain metabolism and function.

Niacin plays a role in the production of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and other corticosteroids. It is nice that niacin prevents breakage of DNA strands.

The lack of vitamin B3 can cause emotional lability and irritability. Individuals with ADHD feel improvements when niacin is sufficient.

Vitamin b5 (Pantothenic acid)

The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

Vitamin B5 plays a vital role in fatty acid synthesis and degradation. Pantothenic acid is crucial to synthesizing Coenzyme A (CO-A). This coenzyme A supports adrenal function. Adrenal glands produce cortisone and norepinephrine. It is known as a vitamin against stress and helps to combat fatigue.

The study shows that people who did not have pantothenic acid in their diet become irritated, hot-tempered, and upset. Male volunteers got low blood pressure, dizziness, muscle weakness, sleepiness, constipation, extreme fatigue, and upper respiratory problems.

Vitamin B6(Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B6 plays an essential role in amino acid metabolism in the central nervous system. Pyridoxine’s active form is the coenzyme Pyridoxal-5phosphate. It participates in some 100 enzyme actions in amino acids, glucose, and lipid metabolism.

The coenzyme is responsible for the production of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA participates in the turning of tryptophan ( amino acid) to niacin. If a coenzyme is missed, the failure happens because of serotonin produced in excess.

Pyridoxine participates in the synthesis of dopamine and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters control human mood and emotion.

When humans do not get enough vitamin B6, they become irritable, anxious, and depressed.

The double-blind, autistic study showed improvement for children who got magnesium and vitamin B6.

Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)

Vitamin B12 contains the mineral cobalt. This vitamin is essential for the maintenance of the central nervous system.

Deficiency of Cyanocobalamin triggers feeding difficulties, hypotonia,  seizure, microcephaly, and developmental delay.

Confusion, depression, mental laziness, and lack of memory relate to vitamin B12 deficiency.

Vitamin C

Cellular health depends on vitamin C. Americans lack vitamin C. Only 35 percent of the population in the USA uses vitamin C.

Vitamin C deficiency can trigger mental disorders. Nervousness related to lack of vitamin C.

Vitamin D(Cholecalciferol)

Vitamin D participates in the uptake and absorption of phosphorus and calcium. These two minerals are vital to proper CNS function.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Vitamin E is anti-oxidant. Vitamin E protects DNA, cell membranes, and enzymes from free radical damage. Patients with tardive dyskinesia got positive results using vitamin E.

Vitamin B9 (Folic acid)

Vitamin B9 acts as the coenzyme THFA( tetrahydrofolic acid). The breakdown and usage of proteins depend on folic acid. Folic acid prevents chromosome breakage and hypomethylation of DNA.

The deficiency of vitamin B9 triggers cognitive impairment and chronic fatigue.

Folic acid helps with Parkinson’s and Bipolar disorders.

Vitamin H (Biotin)

Biotin participates in metabolizing fats, the synthesis of fatty acids, RNA, and DNA.

Biotin may help improve blood glucose control in people with diabetes. Vitamin H enhances insulin sensitivity and increases the activity of enzymes participating in glucose metabolism.

Diabetic neuropathy may be treated with biotin in high doses.

Phosphorus

Phosphorus is a part of the ATP( adenosine triphosphate). ATP is a carrier of energy in the body. Phosphorus has a relationship with calcium because they are tied together in the bone structure.

Calcium and phosphorus play together, helping each other in body functions. Phosphate helps absorb dietary constituents, maintains the blood at an alkaline level, and regulates enzyme activity.

The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

Phosphorus participates in the transmission of nerve impulses.

Magnesium

Magnesium participates in 700-800 enzyme reactions. These reactions involve:

  • ATP requires magnesium
  • Manufacturing DNA
  • Protein synthesis
  • Fatty acid synthesis
  • Nerve impulse transmission
  • Maintenance of the membrane’s electric potential
  • Transportation of potassium, sodium, and calcium across membranes

You can read about the role of magnesium here.

Copper

Copper is found in the brain and liver.

Copper is vital to the formation of many genes.

The SOD1 gene(Superoxide  Dismutase) protects human cells from oxidation and free radical damage. SOD  based on Copper-Zinc composition.

Copper participates in the synthesis of cell membrane phospholipids and helps maintain the insulation called myelin. Myelin surrounds nerve cells.

Copper aids in regulating neurotransmitter levels.

Cooper deficiency can affect the nervous system. Poor concentration, numbness, and tingling can occur.

Iodine

A significant concentration of iodine resides in the thyroid gland. The rest of iodine is in thyroid hormones in the ovaries, blood, and muscles.

Iodine is part of thyroid gland hormones. These hormones, triiodothyronine and thyroxine, affect the metabolic rate in the body.

Thyroid hormones are involved in body development, brain growth, nerves, bones, and skin.

The thyroid participates in protein synthesis, conversion of carotene to vitamin A, and carbohydrate absorption.

Hormone thyroxine regulates body weight.

When iodine levels are low, the human endocrine system suffers. Symptoms such as apathy, drowsiness, fatigue, sensitivity to the cold, muscle weakness, an increase in weight, coarse skin, and lethargy occur.

Potassium

Potassium functions:

  • Protein synthesis
  • Blood sugar conversion to glycogen
  • Stimulation of  intestinal tract movement
  • Activation of enzymes

A deficiency of potassium shows muscle spasms, heart arrhythmia, muscle weakness, and tetany.

Molybdenum

Molybdenum is a trace mineral. Molybdenum is found in the enzymes such as xanthine oxidase, sulfite oxidase, and aldehyde oxidase. These enzymes participate in the production of uric acid, a waste product of protein metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, iron utilization, and sulfite detoxification.

Zinc

Zinc participates in over 600 enzyme actions in the body.

Zinc is essential to our bodies because

  • Human genes stabilization and synthesis depend on zinc
  • Cell division
  • Synthesis and degradation of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins require zinc
  • Growth and repair of tissue depend on zinc
  • Thyroid hormones need zinc for the proper function

These organs and systems require zinc for successful functioning:

  • Calcium uptake in the bones
  • Modulation of growth hormones effects
  • Production of brain neurotransmitters
  •  The release of vitamin A from the liver
  • Production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach
  • Conversion of fatty acids to prostaglandins
  • Muscle contraction
  • Acid-alkali balance maintenance
The Best Multivitamin for Mental Health

The zinc deficiency shows in these ways:

  •  Eczema on the face and hands
  • Hair loss
  • Mental apathy
  • Defects in the productive organs
  •  Delayed sexual maturation
  •  Menstrual irregularities
  •  Low growth rate
  •  Impaired mental development
  •  Postnatal depression
  •  The loss of smell and taste
  •  Anemia
  •  Poor appetite
  •  Impaired conduction and nerve damage
  •  White spots on the nails
  •  Psychiatric disorders
  •  Easiness to catch infections
  •  Long wound healing
  •  Impotence in men
  •  Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa

As you see there, there is no fun when our body lacks some of the micronutrients. Did you think that is going on when we require it, and we do not have many of them in our bodies?

Chromium

Chromium is an essential trace element.

Chromium is vital for blood sugar metabolism. ( I saw supplements with chromium stating that cravings for sugar will disappear.)

Chromium partners with insulin, moving glucose into cells where the energy is generated.

The deficiency of chromium leads to

  •  High blood fat and cholesterol levels

Diabetes-like symptoms of glucose intolerance, such as

  • Confusion
  • Weakness
  •  Weight loss
  •  Thirst
  •  Hunger
  •  Frequent urination

Iron

Iron participates in the transportation of oxygen in the blood. The hemoglobin molecule contains iron in red blood cells.

The importance of iron

  • Enzymes require iron for correctly performing metabolic functions
  • Thyroid hormones use iron for the production
  • DNA synthesis, cell growth, and cell division asks for iron
  • Protein metabolism uses iron
  • The energy production in cells requires iron

Iron deficiency shows up as

  •  Conduct problems in adults and children
  •  Anemia
  •  Fatigue
  •  Breathlessness
  •  Lack of concentration
  •  Eye inflammation
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Mouth ulcers and hair loss
  • Itching, especially for elders
  • Giddiness
  • Restless sleep
  • Huge menstrual pain and bleeding

Manganese

Manganese is vital for proper CNS function. Enzyme systems require magnesium such as in energy production, glucose metabolism, the stimulation of glycogen storage in the liver, protein digestion, cholesterol, and fatty acids synthesis.

Manganese participates in the growth and development of the CNS. Functions such as blood clotting, female sex hormone, and thyroid hormone ask for manganese, too.

Superoxide dismutase, the antioxidant enzyme, contains manganese. Studies show that it can protect brain cells from damage after stroke and Alzheimer’s disease.

Manganese may protect against liver damage. Manganese supplements help treat schizophrenia, mania, and other psychoses.

Selenium

Selenium is a trace mineral. Selenium is involved in

  • Thyroid hormones
  •  CNS mood control
  •  Liver function maintenance
  •  Protection from heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury
  •  Reduction of anxiety

Nickel

Nickel is found in body tissues.

Nickel deficiency is shown as

  • Decreased growth
  • Dermatitis
  •  Liver damage
  • Cell mutation
  •  Reproductive abnormalities
  •  Kidney problems

Vanadium

Vanadium is stored in bone and fat cells.

Vanadium may act as the cofactor for enzymes. These enzymes involved in

  •  Blood sugar metabolism
  •  Lipid and cholesterol metabolism
  •  Fertility
  •  Thyroid function
  •  Hormone production
  •  Neurotransmitter metabolism

Boron

Boron is found all over the whole body. The most significant concentration is in the bone.

Boron is important for

  • The way how signals transmitted across cell membranes
  • Nerve signal transmission
  • Vitamin D conversion to the active form
  • Mental alertness

Germanium

GE-132 is Sesquioxide. It is an organic form of germanium. Interestingly, it is an active ingredient in garlic, aloe vera, and comfrey. ( I used Comfrey and got terrific results.)

Germanium increases the body’s defense mechanisms. Germanium works as

  •  Body detoxifier
  •  Adaptogen
  • Oxygen catalyst
  •  Electric impulse stimulator

Germanium may be the stimulator for gamma-interferon production. Patients with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) felt substantial symptom relief.

Methionine

Methionine is a sulfur amino acid. It performs as a lipotropic factor, preventing fat buildup in the liver and the body. Great stuff, isn’t it?

Phenylalanine

Phenylalanine is the precursor for the amino acid tyrosine. The neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine are precursors of the amino acid tyrosine. The activity of neurotransmitters without tyrosine would be sluggish.

Bioflavonoids

Flavonoids were discovered by Albert Szent-Gyorgi, the Nobel Prize winner. He named them Vitamin P. He found that bioflavonoids enhance the function of vitamin C. It helps protect cells from oxidation.

Grape seed extract

Grape seed extract provides prevention and improvement of circulation and reduction of edema.

Inositol

Inositol is vitamin B. It has connections with choline. Inositol, combined with choline, provides a source of brain cell nutrition.

Benefits of Inositol

  • Treatment for agoraphobia and panic attacks
  • Participate in the insulation of nerve fibers
  • Useful in panic disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder

Ginko Biloba

Gingko Biloba is a herb. It is sufficient for Dementia and, ADHD, ear problems.

Glutamine

Glutamine, combined with vitamin B6, creates gamma-aminobutyric acid. It is an important neurotransmitter.

Choline

Choline is an essential nutrient in humans.

Choline importance is

  • Assistance in the transmission of signals inside cells
  • Choline is part of myeline, a protective shield around the nerves
  • Precursors to the release and synthesis of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter.
  • Provides help for individuals with bipolar disorder and Alzheimer’s
  • ADHD patients benefit from choline usage

Loud Noise Does Not Add Value

October 23, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

We live in a noisy environment that does not let us concentrate and think. However, loud noise does not add value to our lives. People buried in the noise of traffic, social media, and surroundings lose the ability to decide for themselves.

Loud Noise Does Not Add Value

We are free to choose from. However, constant noise disrupts the balance. Why do you think monks and entrepreneurs such as Tim Ferriss meditate? They seek for solutions, peace, and stability.

If we would check after one hundred years the value created by social media, would we see something significant was built?

I wonder what kind of value noise brings to humanity.

Overall social media does a good job, especially when news and events are not compatible with individuals who use power against weaker human beings. However, you need to be a big shot in Hollywood to attract the attention of the majority. Otherwise, essential issues become buried with piles of fake and momentarily news.

You heard, read it, and forgot. It is not suitable for human evolution that noise created by newspapers, TV, and social media weakens our ability to think and decide what is right for us. I do not talk about the last model of the iPhone, but I think that we lost the ability to look forward and make the right choices.

Making choices

We make choices every day, starting from the morning and ending before it. Conscious people can control their dreams at night. It would be great if we could decide on big things, for example, how we would like to live and what we want to achieve.

Unfortunately, we did not learn at school or in college how to think. Earl Nightingale, the famous broadcaster, said that dressing up and going to shower do not count as thinking.

We must think diligently, knowing or searching and learning about ways to improve ourselves.

Obstacles to the right thinking

Most of us are born in families who live in the same way as parents and grandparents lived. Nothing is wrong about that; we can stay at the same level of evolution as our family is.  I read that the student is terrible and cannot achieve better results as the teacher did.

I guess it is more difficult to overcome fears and stubbornness; however, after some time, things will change for the good.

Loud Noise Does Not Add Value

The influence of social media, TV, newspapers, friends, family, and teachers is enormous. Being in an environment that does not push you to innovate,  ask questions, and think for yourself, could leave you at the same level as you were before.

You will hear statements that this or this is best and will work just fine for you. However, these statements are from the other side. You have your mind too. You have tasks to accomplish on Earth and leave it a little better as it was before. It would seem like an overstatement; however, think about yourself.

Are you happy?

Sometimes I think that loud noise from the surrounding environment is a tool to divert our attention to directions where somebody wants us to be.

If you told me that kind of value loud noise adds, I would be happy to discuss it.

Why do I talk about loud noise?

People are not as relaxed as they were before. There are not so many serious and interesting but joyful ways to live and lead our lives.

The loud noise from everywhere silences our ability to create, think ahead, and make reasonable decisions. This loud noise does not add value. It throws out of the balance and leads to misery. There is no relaxation, joy, or meaning, just sound.

Loud Noise Does Not Add Value

It is the reason why people climb mountains, fight with each other, and try various ways to escape the loud noise from the environment. They want to change their lives, but most of us do not know how to do it.

One of the answers is meditation. It saved the sanity of many lost souls, which now do just great.

Let’s wrap up

Most of us live in civilized societies. We have so many good things in our lives, but usually, we do not recognize them. Loud noise from the social environment, such as newspapers and various media, diverts our attention from serious issues and could put us in a sleeping mode. Loud noise does not add value to us. We could choose better directions for ourselves, our families, and our communities if we learned to reason intelligently and insightfully.

Chemical Exposure To the Health

October 21, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

Chemical exposure to health is an important topic. Chemicals affect our health in the wrong way. Allergies and sensitivities to chemicals achieved a dangerous level in highly developed countries. Pesticides and household items affect the health of children and adults.

Homes can contain a few gallons of hazardous materials that are used in the kitchen, garage, bathrooms, or basement.

Why are chemicals popular?

Chemical Exposure For Health

Most of the people do like convenience and affordability. Chemicals clean fast. Chemicals solve many problems, such as weeds in the garden or cloaked bathtub.

However, people become allergic, stressed, and out of balance.

Chemicals are not natural. They produce to provide results at any price. Individuals do not care about consequences until they become sick, allergic, or unusually sensitive to chemicals used every day.

The opinion of health professionals

Dr. Samuel  Epstein, a medical doctor and professor emeritus of environmental and occupational health at the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Public Health, has been an expert on the effects of pollutants in the air, water, and workplaces.

Dr. Samuel Epstein influenced the banning of DDT and other chemicals used in various areas of customer products.

He stated at the cancer conference that all of us carry more than 500 various chemical compounds. These chemicals were not present one hundred years ago. Now we have them. What is scary is that there is no safe dosage for these substances.

How does chemical exposure affect our health?

According to Dr. Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D., ” chemicals can destroy or paralyze different enzymes that protect us from external toxins.”

Toxic chemicals are found in various places. The food, water, air, and homes are exposed to chemicals.

Chemical Exposure To Health

Plenty of chemical pesticides are used for crops. Of course, farmers want to harvest as much as possible of grain and other cultures. However, customers suffer the most.

Organophosphates and carbamates are possible carcinogens. They take 40 percent of all pesticides used in the USA.

Chemicals affect health, disturbing and throwing out the critical balance processes in the body. The body accumulates various toxins. Not everybody is in the best shape to be able to get from chemicals.

Plenty of people consume junk food and live stressful lives. A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of chronic diseases. Also, having chemicals around, such as cleaning supplies and deodorants, adds substantial weight to our bodies.

Heavy metals

Heavy metals like mercury, cadmium, and lead damage organs: the brain, kidney, and heart. Cadmium and lead tend to bind to tissues in the kidneys and heart.

Heavy metals can cross the blood-brain barrier and destroy brain cells. Are you scared? I am. It means that we need to look for ways to help bodies detoxify using minerals and infrared saunas.

How to protect ourselves from chemical exposure?

We can limit chemicals in our household to zero. There is plenty of advice about how to use baking soda and vinegar for cleaning purposes.

Use water filters

Tap water is a source of fluoride, antibiotics, and various chemicals. Water filters prevent the entering of chemicals into our bodies.

Take magnesium supplements

Sufficient magnesium prevents the toxic effects of aluminum, detoxifies, and helps remove heavy metals from the body. Magnesium participates in building up energy storage in the body. Magnesium helps to utilize detoxification systems.

Use natural therapies

  • Organic, raw, unprocessed foods provide nutrients. You can not find it in the meat of animals treated with antibiotics and hormones.
  • Drinking water daily helps flush chemicals — Dr. Carolyn Dean advises to drink one-half of body weight in ounces of water every day. You will remove chemicals which are soluble in water.
  • Infrared saunas help remove fat-soluble chemicals. Dry or far infrared saunas are recommended.
  • No to fasting. According to Dr. Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D. , when people fast, the fast is broken for energy. Chemicals are released into the bloodstream. It causes headaches, irritability, and light-headedness.

Dr.Carolyn Dean’s protocol for environmental illnesses

The best and first supplement for an environmental disease is magnesium. ReMag is the most effective magnesium supplement, which is famous for 100 percent absorption at the cellular level.

Steps for removing chemicals

  • Epsom Salts baths or uses transdermal ReMag from the spray bottle.
  • Start with 1/4 tsp of ReMag or 100 mg of elemental magnesium from magnesium citrate. Magnesium citrate can be a cause of loose stools. In this case, please take non-laxative ReMag.
  • Consume green drinks made from organic vegetables. You can combine green beverages with whey, pea, or rice proteins.
  • You can add after ReMag ReMyte, and ReAline.

According to  Dr. Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D., ” …environmental illness does not require high-dose supplementation. Since most megavitamins and minerals are derived synthetically, it is a far better approach to use low-potency, well-absorbed minerals and food-based vitamins from  organic sources.”

Conclusion

Chemicals do not do any good to our bodies. Chemicals are foes and predators. The body can protect itself from chemicals. However, a sinful lifestyle can weaken the immune system. The body needs support. We can not think that problems will be solved by themselves. Taking responsibility,  preventing, and removing chemicals from our lives will bring only positive outcomes.

An update

This blog needs an update because of events that turned the world upside down. Nowadays, we have more on our plate thinking about the removal of harmful materials. The article from Dr.Mercola is actual, especially nowadays.

How To Stop Cravings For Food

October 8, 2017 By Nemira Leave a Comment

How do you stop cravings for food? Magnesium is the answer. Of course, if you do not eat at all and starve yourself, minerals will not save you from misery. Food cravings can happen for everybody depleted of vital nutrients, especially minerals such as magnesium.

What is good nutrition?

Hw To Stop Cravings For Food?

Proper nutrition includes minerals, vitamins, proteins, amino acids, fat, and fatty acids. We can live just with proteins or be eating only fats. A body is complex; everything is connected and can not exist without each other. What do I mean? I mean that if we do not provide the body with some of the vital nutrients, the imbalance happens.

You see people who have some problems. Some of them are obese, some are sad and have anxiety and panic attacks, and some crave food or have allergies. It does not happen from somewhere. When the body does not get nutrients problems start to bother us.

Food cravings happen when the body lacks nutrients, especially proteins, vitamins, and minerals. It tries to fulfill with junk food that is full of chemicals and triggers chronic diseases and obesity.

How is our diet good?

I wonder how many of us would lift a hand and say that he or she gets everything that the body needs from food? There are Paleo dieters, vegans, vegetarians, Atkinson diet, or Mediterian diet followers.  Do you think that they are happy with the outcome? I doubt it because the food does not provide enough minerals for the body to function well.

The soil is depleted in most areas of North America. Nobodys mineralizes the land. Maybe there are some exceptions, but the primary food on our tables comes from giant fields. These fields get Roundup, not minerals. Sorry, but it is a harsh reality. Thankfully, some states have woken up and made laws to protect citizens from chemicals.

What is more, when we do not get minerals, we have from fifty to seventy percent of chronic illnesses. The magnesium deficiency, the removal of the refining process of vitamins E and B6,  which are vital for magnesium absorption, makes us crave depleted nutrients.

Why do we crave food?

When we eat food without essential nutrients, we consume dry food. We get calories, not active ingredients, which make our body move and flourish. The body recognizes the lack of minerals and other minerals. It is expressed through a constant craving. We consume pancakes, sweets, cookies, or white bread, but it does not benefit us. These empty calories, mostly total sugar, turn to the fat, the enemy, and the object of sorrow. We are always unhappy and miserable. We reach again for junk food to satisfy cravings. Unfortunately, it helps gain weight but does not help the body get nutrients.

How to change the situation?

The answer is information that you can find in Dr. Carolyn Dean’s book The Magnesium Miracle. She gives a perfect example of comparing a few products. The rice bran, weighing 1.8 ounces, contains 400 mg of magnesium, while 54.25 ounces of doughnuts must be eaten to get the same amount of mineral. I think that it is a sad picture because we lack information.  I liked sweets, too, but after the usage of magnesium, my cravings disappeared.

How do you stop cravings for food?

We must eat food which is rich in magnesium and other minerals. Protein-rich foods such as meat and fish and foods such as wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, sunflower seeds, kelp, pumpkin seed, and sea salt will provide magnesium. Of course, it will not be enough. Supplements such as ReMag will help fill the void.

How To Stop Cravings For Food ?

Eating organic food, giving priority to raw or gently steamed food, will provide you with vital nutrients. The body will get most of all the ingredients. You will eat less, and you feel faster and fuller.

The proper choice is to join a community-sponsored agriculture(CSA) cooperative buying share in a local organic farm. You can share products such as fresh vegetables, fruit, chicken, lamb, or free-range eggs.

Giving your body wholesome food protects you from food cravings. Think about it because you do not need it anymore when you have everything. You are content.

A significant addition to the body’s wellness is Dr. Dean’s Total Body ReSet bundle. You can find the information here.

Have you ever experienced how to avoid food cravings? I would be happy to read about it here. Please leave a comment below.

Soda Tax Is Good

October 6, 2017 By Nemira 2 Comments

The soda tax is good because everybody addicted to soda drinks would start to think about why these fees are higher than before. Nobody likes it when prices go up.  However, high rates do not mean that the item or product is of good quality. After all, nobody will be harmed if soda sales would go down.

Why do soda drinks require tax?

Soda Tax Is Good

I hope that you know that soda drinks contain plenty of sugar. This sugar is not brown or molasses. It is white sugar striped from minerals and other nutrients — taste buds like a pleasant feeling. Unfortunately, the body has plenty of problems.

Tax on soda would help people to stop and think about where to spend the money. Soda drinks are addictive, but they do not have any nutritional value; they only pave the path to obesity.

Obesity

It is not a surprise that in North America, the obesity skyrocketed. A few generations ago, people were in shape and did not get diabetes as often as now. We can blame parents or the government, but it does not help get rid of problems. We must know that we are responsible for our choices.

If you want to drink soda drinks where sugar is hidden, but you get eight spoons of sugar in every can, the consequences are dangerous. It is terrible for us, families, and health professionals. Doctors could spend their valuable time treating other diseases.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to get rid of bad habits. Happily, soda taxes cause turmoil, which makes people think why these taxes on soda got up.

Diabetes

One of the main reasons that people get diabetes is a sinful lifestyle. Overeating, a sedentary lifestyle, and the lack of nutrients create an avalanche of problems. It seems that people do not want to be in bad shape, but on the other hand, individuals seldom look for information and ask questions from knowledgeable health professionals.

It does not need to be in this way. Of course, there are other problems. It isn’t straightforward. However, by watching over diet, getting off from the coach, and consistently following the advice of excellent doctors, people could change everything for a pleasant outcome.

How are soda taxes good?

Soda Tax Is Good

Soda taxes bring light to things that are not new. It shows the magnitude of the problems. Soda drinks do not bring wanted results to people. Addiction to sugar is a common thing for people.

What is harmful to soda drinks?

Significant amounts of sugar in soda drinks strip bodies of minerals. Magnesium is removed with waste because the body needs minerals to utilize the harm of sugar.

When the body lacks magnesium, the body’s metabolism suffers. You can read more about magnesium’s role in the human body.

The mechanism of sugar harm

Sometimes, it is not easy to grasp why sugar harms us. I like sweets, especially chocolate. Thankfully, I understand the reason, and now I  know why I was addicted. I am cured now.

There are steps in the sugar mechanism

  • The meal or can of soda with eight to ten spoons of sugar inside reaches the stomach
  • It stimulates an insulin response from the pancreas
  • Insulin normalizes blood sugar levels
  • When there is too much insulin, the levels of blood sugar go down, and sugar goes into the cells
  • The low level of blood sugar causes adrenaline
  • The adrenaline from the adrenal glands stimulates to raise blood sugar back to normal.
  • Constant usage of sweets and sugary drinks exhausts the pancreas and adrenal glands.
  • Albeit there is too much insulin, which is stimulated by soda drinks, cell’s receptor sites shut down.
  • It leads to insulin resistance. It means that insulin can not transport sugar into cells.
  • Sugar cannot get into the cells where it is turned into energy
  • Sugar becomes elevated in the blood, which damages the eyes, heart, and kidneys in adult-onset diabetes.

Conclusion

Soda drinks do not bring well-being to our bodies. There are plenty of risks, such as obesity, the lack of minerals such as magnesium, and diabetes. The soda tax will remind us that we can choose better options to indulge ourselves.

When the body goes out of balance, who will be responsible for the latest consequences? There are plenty of examples that show that the wrong lifestyle and poor diet do not lead to a joyful life. It creates just misery. Of course, we enjoy a few minutes of excitement, but after that, we do not fit into the airplane seat. Let’s not feel sorry about soda taxes and think about how to preserve the most valuable asset: health.

Update

The Chicago newspaper, Chicago Tribune, followed the ups and downs of debated sugar taxes. Few informative articles showed up about reasons why these taxes will touch residents and sellers. “Philadelphia’s soda taxes offer lessons,” “Doomed soda tax was never about our health,” and ” Cook County retailers cheer soda tax repeal” painted the colorful picture of various points from the view of customers, sellers, government officials, and journalists. What do you think about how it ended? Despite durable pieces of evidence that sugary drinks harm most vulnerable people in Hispanic and African-American communities, taxes did not go up.

Of course, adults want to make their own decisions. People who drink these sugary drinks are addicted to them from childhood. More significant prices will not stop them. Instead of a rational and constant explanation about harm, the offer to increase taxes on soda drinks showed up. Sellers did not like it and fought back. They won.

“(Taxpayers) will continue to cover the rising costs of treating the chronic diseases caused by drinking too many sugary beverages while also seeing cuts to health care services for our most vulnerable communities,” Elissa Bassler, CEO of the Illinois Public Health Institute, said in a statement.

Chicago Tribune, Thursday, October 12, 2017

It is a long journey from realizing that nobody else will take care of you. Only the understanding that health is the most critical asset will change the situation.

You and you can make decisions regarding everything. Companies that produce these drinks do not want to lose clients. It is a business, nothing more. However, tobacco companies print on packages that smoking is harmful to our health. Maybe it will happen with sugary drinks?
